I watch a lot of interior design shows, and I think what really sets Mr Kate apart is how DIFFERENT each of the rooms they design is! Some designers tend to make every room look the same as the last room they designed, they really only decorate in one specific style that they know. Kate and Joey really take the vision of the person into account and it always looks totally unique!

laineymariebeauty Lowe’s TH-cam channel (Lowe’s Home Improvement) has great content like this as well! I highly recommend their series “The Weekender”, as well as their series named “Our Little Warehome”! I haven’t had cable for over a decade now, and I can honestly say that I don’t miss it much at all! There are a few channels I sometimes wish I could watch, but between a Netflix, TH-cam, and the basic free TV channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, CW) I always have more than enough to watch! Cable is FAR too expensive to be worth it in my opinion, and to me it seems like such an unnecessary expense given how many free and cheap alternatives that are available to us these days!

I’m old enough to remember the mid-late 70s. We actually had that rotary phone! Then when the 80s came & the push button dial was the latest tech, my mom upgraded to a push button dial phone exactly the same color. During my childhood, I remember how the bright pinks, neon yellows & teals of the late 60s-early 70s, that often swirled together in paisley or large, abstract floral prints, gave way to the dark orange, avocado green, dark brown, w/wood everywhere (including on the walls). Our washer & dryer were that baby puke mustard yellow, our fridge that dark avocado green. Our shag carpet was multicolored w/strands of orange, brown, green & cream. & my dad & I played backgammon @ the kitchen table for hours w/a set that looked just like the one you used. That craze went well into the 80s. This is a very tasteful, very stylish, modernized 2019 interpretation of the design style/color palette that surrounded me in early childhood. Hopefully this esthetic entertains as many fond memories for them as it still does for me. Well done Mr. Kate & Joey!

For the first time ever, there are so many comments that seem to be extremely against somebody else’s style... and here i thought that the Creative Weirdo’s were supposed to embrace each other’s inner weirdness and what makes YOU who YOU are.. but instead most of the comments are about how “ugly” it is... Personally I’ve watched many of the “Modern Glam Room Makeover” videos and although it’s not my style, not one time have I ever torn it down and said I hated it, because it’s not about ME its about the person you’re doing it for. I get that some people associate the DIY art with something really unpleasant, but honestly for THE 70’S inspo it’s on point, I thought it was actually pretty cute, from the texture and color it fits HER aesthetic pretty well. Just because it isn’t your aesthetic doesn’t mean that it’s a failure, ugly, or gross; It just means it’s not YOUR style. She adapts to every bodies aesthetic without pausing and honestly for an interior designer it’s an amazing quality to have, i mean somehow she can nail all sorts of different aesthetics and personalities, even if she wouldn’t have chosen it for her own house. Some of you need to learn how to respect each other...
This is so true. The glam look is so not my style. I’m personally more of a boho/vintage eclectic but I can appreciate other people’s personal aesthetic.

Just because it isn’t your aesthetic doesn’t mean that it’s a failure, ugly, or gross; It just means it’s not YOUR style. She adapts to every bodies aesthetic without pausing and honestly for an interior designer it’s an amazing quality to have, i mean somehow she can nail all sorts of different aesthetics and personalities, even if she wouldn’t have chosen it for her own house. Some of you need to learn how to respect each other...
