If it wasn't for Hiya toys, SHMA would have never figured out how to make the Godzilla neck joint look good. They would have stuck with the turtle neck foreskin looking joint for the next 10 years.
I’m assuming you’re talking about the individual segments that form around the neck area? There’s no evidence that points towards that direction, at that point it’s copying right from hiya. Monsterarts has more experience with articulation engineering, if you heard what I said about the info since Godzilla evolved they had to redesign everything from 0. I doubt they would’ve stuck with that turtleneck design, the neck design is very different also looking more thicker. When we review both we can see who actually made the better figure.
In their defense, it used resin that are less tolerant than abs or pvc. The latter being the material used in the production one. But not saying joints won't crack or easily popped off tho. We've seen it before, we might see it again. We'll see
Average Hiya Dickrider comment. TAS stated that the body was resin, so it can show a lot more detail in the prototypes. Don't act like Hiya doesn't do the same.
Its not hiya's sculpt, it is just that hiya was movie accurate but shma's pre evolved was the same as g19 which was inaccurate to give more articulation. But this figure proves that you can make a movie accurate figure and make it still more posible than hiya

You can‘t really have low expectations if you are getting this figure just because of how expensive it is. They should make this the best SHMA Godzilla figure to justify the price
There’s no denying those are expensive Figures right, unfortunately The Name & Figures Monsterarts comes with a lot quality control issues it’s like a mystery box, you may never know if you’re getting a good or bad figure. That’s why I tell people keep your expectations low, most of them keep them high thinking what they see here is what they’ll get, the final product turns out to be worse & they feel disappointed. I don’t support Monsterarts anymore years back now, if anything I might give this figure one last chance, I’m thinking of preordering it.
@@RubiGamingx yeah, I‘d be more fine with keeping my expectations low if Godzilla cost around 50-60 bucks like in 2019 but with the figure costing more than double the price I can‘t say that I‘ll just keep it low would I get it. I get what you are saying and SHMA should really watch it
I really hope they could also fix the same thing with shimo cause her body is a little to skinny and her tail needs to be smaller especially the paint job not just pure white the transparent crystals is what I love and to much articulation especially in the shoulders where those flaps are shown ;-;
I don’t think we’ll see much of a chance with the other figures, Shimo has been said to be on early concept or at least taking inspiration. If they do get any updates that would be surprising & good.
Still needs to go through the mass production phase. I’ll never forgive Bandi for giving Minus one stupid smudgy angry bird eye brows and shitty eye/teeth paint. Body QC can also be questioned that’s more of a case by case basis.

Thankfully I canceled my pre-order for that figure I was not happy How it looked, on my instagram page I got so much hate with people saying I was wrong, that the final product would look amazing! The one that ppl will get will use a different material, abs and pvc, the standard for figures, which are more durable than resin
I’ve explained this already multiple times, monster arts isn’t following accuracy within this line, they’re doing their own thing in terms of height and length. Yes Kong was taller in the movie while in figure form Kong isn’t.
To quote mike from mike's monsters, with photography you could even use playmates figure and make it look like shma. Probably photography magic. The detail looks more popped thanks to shadows and stuff

I don’t know from what I’ve heard. This is only an exclusive figure which means selected stores only have it. Kowkis has it and it has free shipping to the USA.
It does not look anywhere better than hiyas , just the head, body, claws, and dorsal plates is ok. The arms sculpt looks so weird. I *figure* that it’s gonna be like the mv g19 figure where the body, the dorsal plates, the spikes, everything is gonna be the same color and shade. It may be articulated but all the ball joints will fall off like every sh monster arts figure.
