It was really cool! So, two of the band members were born under the Zodiac sign, Pisces (represented by two fish, swimming in opposite directions). That's what it is about and how the song has two sides.

I would recommend that both of you watch Arch Enemy (a Swedish band from the west coast) and two good songs are Nemesis both in 2008 and 2016 (with two different singers and both are vegans) and one of their calmer songs "reason to believe" I like also (all their songs have well thought out lyrics)

One of the best analysis of Pisces from an artistic and philosophical level. Kudos. To see some great technical analysis, check out the reaction by The Fairy Voice Mother - after she spits up her tea in shock she does a great breakdown of the what is going on at both a performance and physiological level. Most anyone can do do that, it "just" takes years of practice like any skill. Btw, I hope you check out Marching On Versailles by Ad Infinitum - European band, singer is Swiss and Hatian. Cheers!
Yeah, it's so refreshing to see someone really getting the song. The percentage of reactors who connect the two vocal styles with the song structure is close to zero. And regarding the lyrics, I've yet to see someone "beating" Vin's analysis. : )

The best but of the song is when she is in her third growl part, and mid growl she switches to an amazing high note! It's fucking awesome!

I always thought that the fact that the symbol of the astrological sign Pisces is 2 fish swimming in opposite directions, representing a personality with 2 aspects was a big clue to the song's meaning. Early on she says not to rely on her, and says that she is "skittish". I think that using the fish metaphor, part of her wants to be hooked, or commit to an intimate relationship, but the other opposing part is afraid due to past negative experiences or abuse at the hands of "callous men" or "handsome butchers". Emeralds being ripped away would be the iridescent " scale armour" she would have to sacrifice, (or letting her guard down) in order to achieve intimacy. That's my impression of the song anyway.

So many songs to enjoy by Jinjer and Pernial is usualy suggested but i think the song On The Top Live in Kiev is a perfect showcase for the band and Tatianas vocal range
This is always the best one to start with. It's live, it's well sung and it starts out chill and quiet.

She practiced four years before she brought her growl to the stage setting.... I also have seen people comment that the video was initially intended on showcasing their new drummer, Vlad...but due to Tatiana's kick ass vocals, well.... we all know how that went.
But I love this kind of stuff. Most of the music i listen to is 100% growls. So yeah, this is a pleasant surprise.
Oh, and there are women who do 100% growls.... Arch Enemy's 2nd vocalist/current band manager Angela Gassow and her replacement Alissa White-Gluz. Both equally awesome growlers!

a big influence on Jinjer, and especially for Tatiana is Opeth, and Mikael Åkerfield, who is the singer/guitarist song writer. For mixed cleans and growls check out their older catalog, for example "Deliverance"
Henri actually nailed it on the two-sides duality, as that's exactly what this song is all about ! :)
Being able to get that while being obviously in shock is quite remarkable. So kudos for that !

Oh, btw, unless i've missed it, it seems you've never reacted to Devin Townsend yet.
Since you love Dimash's vocal range and apparently enjoy Tatiana's switches, i think you could really enjoy Devin's work. He's got a big vocal range and can make big switches, so heh : best of both worlds ! :p Plus is also a very good composer, guitarist, lyricist, and sound engineer (yeah, some people have too much talent ! ^^).
If you're interested in listening to him, the classical song to start with is "Kingdom (on EMG TV)". Another very popular one is "Deadhead (Live at Royal Albert Hall)".
Or if you want to go completely off charts, you can go for the absolute musical madness that is "The Mighty Masturbator (live in London 2011)", for which there are way less reaction videos (beware that it is a 16 minutes long song, though...)

The more I listen to this Yes and mainly it's to get to see the shock reactions, I'm hearing more and more the beautiful nuances in the music, the musicians are extremely good. They know their trade They are artists in their own respect... So yes I will continue to watch these videos for the shock effect but also to listen and enjoy the music itself more and more with each reaction

I have the same problem quite often, only the other way around. I use english so often that it has become my first language(oh, and I think the word you were looking for was "moods" or "atmospheres" if "stemninger" was the danish word that describes what you were going for, alternatively "feels" would also be accurate). But I know the exact feeling there :)
That said, great video, it's always hilariously awesome to watch someone getting exposed to Jinjer for the first time.
If you haven't already done so, I would recommend checking out Devin Townsend - Kingdom(his performance at EMGtv), or his quarantine performance of "Why".

Henri, we ALL go through that at the beginning. I am an evangelical minister, and I thought 'DEMON!' when I first heard it. I have watched Tatiana in several videos, this one in reaction and by itself many times. She is extremely talented and I pray for her to have an amazing future. Sabina, that was on of the best set-ups I have seen (and I spent 8 years in military service, before I found Christ ) I love you both, keep the reactions coming.

Your comments helped me to realize one interpretation of the song has to do with the astrological Pisces, which is a bit like Yin and Yang, opposing aspects of our existence. (Btw, the thumbnail is priceless.)
I think its interesting that she isn't using her vocal chords during the scream....she just leaves them open and pushes air in the spaces. She changes tone with the position of her mouth and the vowels that she uses. She doesn't damage her voice or vocal chords at all. Really cool!! Great reaction Henri as always.
She isn't only using false vocals. She growls at times. But shoes the notes with her false vocals(mouth).
Go watch her live version of this song. She is growling though out most of the song ;)
That said it's pretty common to use false vocals in metal to achieve different notes. It can stress the throat a lot trying to hold a not at your voice box while growling.

Actually this live video was made to promote their new drummer - to show his more Jazz like style of influence in Jinjers music. But it´s gone wild worldwide cause of her growls...as Titiana say...if we knew of how the video was distributed - we would'nt have done it - because Pisces it not the one of their favorite songs. :-) Show Henri some of their live performances - they kick ass live": "Perennial", Wacken 2019, "pit of consciousness" - live in Kiev (Tatiana´s favorite as the lyric is very personal), And offcause "Teacher, teacher" - the official video (not a real live shot)

The different voices of Tatiana are a great tool of expression and Tatiana is the master of using it. The song "Teacher, Teacher" demonstrates this well.
For mixing different genres of music with metal "Judgement (and Punishment)" and "Home Back" are great examples. Somehow Jinjer makes the seemingly impossible work.
For me, the genre mashup and the contrast between soft and mellow and hard and aggressive, with an always present groove, is exactly why i love Jinjer.
