It's interesting that the dragons, giants, elves, orcs, and dwarves all had a great deal of influence over the sword coast. The area most official adventures are located in. It is a shame that historical maps of the extent of their full influence do not seem to exist.
Second: A very interesting time. Bahamut is one of my favorite Dungeons and Dragons characters, so a time of dragons would probably feature him prominently.
Another fantastic lore video. Keep up the amazing work. Because Bahamut's Dragonborn were never introduced into 5e (even in Fizban's), I had converted my own for a campaign a while back as NPCs aiding the party against the Cult of the Dragon. I love that you mentioned them.
personaly my fav age..iv been watching waiting..the light of a lantern..will now elumanate upon riches age of dragons.. THE MAN DID NOT DISAPOINT..from art too how he lays out the lore..pulls u in and above all..gives it a feeling of life in the imagantion..keeping to the subjecr is hard..yet he gives you all other points..of lore..which is rare and amazing..great great job..
Super kind words... thank you for watching and commenting! The perfect video still alludes me, but it is fun trying with each iteration. I will keep making them if you keep watching! :)
@@anthonygorman94 I first started playing D&D 10 years ago with Rise of Tiamat. Not only did I not know about D&D, but even that TTRPG's existed. I wish I had known about them in school.
Hey! I'm newish here and I love your kids so far! I was wondering if you were planning, or if anyone knows creators that have videos on current day setting and lore? All I can seem to find is ancient history and monsters, but what I'd like is people's and cities and the big events from 3.5 to 5th ed. Thoughts?
I have done a few videos on Baldur's Gate and want to do more city profiles. Right now I have Waterdeep and Neverwinter on a short list, but there are dozens of worthy subjects... did you have any cities in mind?
@RichesandLiches Well, I've played for a long time, but all my world knowledge is in Dark Sun and Dragonlance. My people never played Forgotten Realms. Closest we got was Sigil. We mostly did homebrews. So I don't know anything about the various nations, or gods and customs and the greater inter-world politics, and apparently the lore transition from 3.5 to 4 to 5 was WILD? My learning style fits best in video format or I'd just read the books. Unfortunately, they'd just fall out of my head. I can find more things on Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and those don't have decades of books dedicated to them. I was hoping maybe I'm just not good at searching for them, but if not, there's a HUGE gap in lore videos. It's all monsters, the Nine Hells, and the same three cities in a single region. I think I found a less than ten minute video on the Spellplague but done by a guy that sounds like he skimmed the book the day before writing the script in every video I've watched of his, so I didn't even touch it I'm so frustrated. Thank you so much for your time! I appreciate your reply.
Listening to this, i like the idea that asgorath had multiple things happen as the deity was split in 2 by erek hus in the dawn war. 1) split and birthed the two halves of itself and became bahamut and tiamat. Next upon the the defeat of erek hus the blood of the dragon deity and the blood of the primordial titan blend together to birth the nee primordial dragon IO to which later in the thunder age launched the frozen moon at the teardrop event. ...
I totally disagree! I thought I made it clear that ALL the other humanoid races owe a debt of gratitude to the Elves! If they had not created the Dracorage Mythal, humans might have never emerged from their own dark age.
iv done lots of looking ..lore theres some..but some of you guys seem to find things..i dont have or cant ..perhaps dont know is out there.. SO LETS VOUTE ON A look into chult..how big it really is..how many ruins and plaçes hidden with in the jungle..and what is as i may or maynot have peaced together..dendars the night serpents prision??? lantern..most humbal request of our new and masterfull loreman..rich....everybody get behind it..come on you all like killing big monstets right..lol❤
I’m sorry, I love everything being said, and the lore you bring is amazing, but I need to address something or I’m gonna go nuts: circa is pronounced Sirka 🙃🙃🙃
You are 100% right... and as I read your comment it dawned on me how I was pronouncing it... strange, I have heard the word a million times and yet pronounced it wrong every time... apologies.
Definitely a fair question. While FR lore suggests that a 100% "Pure Blood" elf cannot grow a beard, that is disputed by Tolkien's work says they can. So if we are to assume that a particular elf has the blood of another of the races, then - while certainly rare - it is possible for an elf to sport some chin hairs. :) Great comment, thank you for asking!

Great video. The second c in circa is pronounced the same as the second c in circle. The same root word, hence is mean around the time of.
Sir - kah
But I can see how you'd read it sir sa if you hadn't heard it before spoken
No one ever mentions the 3E Dragonborn. Thanks for that.
I always thought they were a cool way to bring a new race.
They were the first Dragonborn I remembered, then I skipped 4th, right on to 5e. I hadn’t known about the 4e version.

Beautifully done my guy 👏 please do Orcs next!
We need more Tharizdun. Great video, you do amazing work.
Thank you for the awesome content. The sound of The Lore is so peaceful haha. Keep up the amazing work!
Another one I'm hyped great work as all ways
Love this video. Well done

Another great one❤, keep it up.

As if there weren’t enough reasons already to hate elves.

a comment for the numbers brother

so cool
Why has he left out “The Elegy of The First World”? It is extremely important Draconic Lore.
Keep on keeping on 😎🍻🤘
Love your videos, can't understand why elves have beards though :)

Great comment, thank you for asking!
👍
Can't really be the rage of dragons... The rage is an elven mythal attached to a comet. Elves weren't really high magic capable when dragons appeared.
So, it was the equivalent of "that time of the month" for Tiamat's brood?
Meh. I've seen worse...
First?
He knows its cir-KA, not cir-SA right?
I do, thanks for the feedback. The pefect video ever eludes me.
