Same here. It's hard enough to find great deduction games (my preference), not to mention people who love to play them. The market is glutted with far too many civilization building / area control / resource management games and board games pretending to be video games with aspects like "life force" and so on. I think the lack of great deduction games is largely because they require more complex mechanics as opposed to complicated rules or game play, as well as a higher degree of creativity and cleverness that other games don't demand.
they also require lots of attention from players. We play Perfect Alibi and love it. But one little mistake from any jf the players and the game is done.
Thanks for another great review! I do have a rules question though. When we play this, we trigger the characters special abilities at any time during their turn. This makes for a much easier path to sealing the gate. Did I miss a rule that says you must use their special ability as soon as you activate them? Thanks! Keep up the great work!
Ryan Boylan yes the rule days you can activate the characters social ability before any of the normal actions. Doing any time makes the game a lot easier.
Thanks for the review. We couldn't find in the rules if your supposed to play closed hand or open handed / if you can share information between players. Do you know the answer to this?

Excellent review as always, Dan. My wife and I played our third and fourth games last night. It's about a 7.75 for me so far.
Cool Peter!
