The Báez ejection is the worst. I ALSO hate it when the HP umpire makes the call on check swings. UNLESS it's indisputable ... check with a base umpire. PERIOD.
@@barry6290 The call is a joke when you look at how teams have used the shift up until this year. After all the decades of watching MLB, I have never seen that called before. That umpire gave the quick heave-ho to Maddon because he knew it was a horrible call.

If/when Madden continues to argue a ball, he is not gonna shout back and forth with him As to the validity of the call, it is not a call made often, because rarely does the 1st baseman vacate his position near the bay, then receive a throw. It just so happened that when he does, the pitcher decides to pick off, meaning he’s throwing to an unoccupied base, despite Rizzo’s attempts to make it look normal
that first ejection is a game ill never forget. I was 13 at the time and it's one of the earliest games I really remember

Maddon is such a laid back chill guy. I’m surprised he’s argued with the umpires this much during his tenure with the Cubs.
And there were some ejections that weren't even in the video (like 3-4 times he was ejected that weren't included in this video).
