      He was literally one of the worst managers Seattle has ever had. I mean I appreciate the fire more than Servais who let's everyone walk over him but still Lloyd was an awful manager

      @@SoggyMs Honestly Servais has been way worse. Considering he even had way more talent than Lloyd ever did and still didn’t have the team produce.

    In the Pirates ejection starting at 11:48 (where Lloyd "stole" 1st base), was that a simulcast? (same audio for radio and TV broadcast). Definitely sounded like a radio-type call by the announcer. Also, poor member of the Pirates ground crew, booed for doing his job LOL

      He’d had a running beef with the umpire in question, Tony Randazzo, for several years dating back to previous confrontations when he was on Detroit’s coaching staff; reportedly, McClendon had shaken his head in disgust at the check-swing call, prompting Randazzo to blow a fuse and toss him, shouting “I know what you’re about!” to him while doing so. By far the pettiest and stupidest ejection I’ve ever seen to date. :P

    • @DT24K
      @DT24K 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      More than likely I’d guess/say that he said a ‘certain’ something loud enough for an ump to hear that is one of those words that pretty much any/all umps have in their ‘personal’ book that give out the automatic ejects. All umps have ‘em... espcly MLB umpires! There’s certain words (or perhaps, names per’se...) they’ll get called that they just refuse to put up with. One of those that are usually a #1 flat out ‘ejector’ is c**ksucker. Defntly 1 of the top 2-3 in just about any/all umps’ books that they’ll just refuse to put up with no matter what! Almost as if they have an antenna & just go to even barely hear it somewhat maybe mentioned within whatever remarks, sentences etc etc. Crazy as hell within some stories you’ll hear from MLB players who’ll tell ya about how sharp the ears are on some of em with all the noise carrying on within a stadium etc yet can still hear a word such as that get said even in passing among others in a dugout 30-40 ft away & ump still go to hear it, immediately just assume whatever player and/or coach they just got into it with over whatever and boom! They’re outta here!!! Hahaha.... yeah, anyone on here ever get a chance to talk/bulls**t with whatever former MLB player... you’ll hear some all-time great friggjn’ stories over crap like that!!!

    You know, I remember Lloyd McClendon being the manager of the Pirates. Most of his ejections on here, though, we're while he was with the Mariners. Makes me wonder: if he was this passionate as a Pittsburgh Pirate as he was a Seattle Mariner, would the Pirates have done better? I mean, the Bucs had freaking Jason Kendall and Brian Giles, and they still couldn't contend.

    • @SmoothCriminal12

      They didn't win because their best pitcher was fucking Kris Benson. Even the best manager couldn't win with those squads.

    • @nascarfanatic2425
      @nascarfanatic2425 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SmoothCriminal12 Yeah, the team's owner, Bob Nutting is a real clown. Anytime a player gets good, they go elsewhere. Andrew McCutchen, Brian Giles, Jason Kendall, Adam Hyzdu, Jason Bay, Kris Benson, the list goes on of how many good players they had that they traded away. Give it another year, and Josh Bell will be next if he hasn't been already.
