I watch allot of woodworking videos and for the past few days I’ve watched allot of kamiko builds but this right here left me speechless, the precision, the patience, the beauty. Well done man thats a sub and a like.
Bro I love your jigs. I'm constantly pausing just to see what you're doing. "Ahhh, that's so much easier!" Great work. When you were doing the internal triangles for the pinwheel pattern I swear my thumbs started to throb. Guess my thumbs have PTSD from smashing in kumiko pieces.
Amazing work! Having built a few Kumiko panels I can appreciate how complex and fine your work is (far beyond anything I've managed so far, but great for inspiration). Thanks for sharing.
Nicely done. I made my first Kumiko panel last month and was fairly happy with it until I saw what you have done. Back to the workbench to try again...
Excellent work as always from you. I really like your thickness jig for the Kanna. But I’m curious how you know when you’ve reached the desired 3.3mm thickness? Is it by eye, or do you measure each strip as you get closer to final thickness? Thanks for sharing your work.
For whatever reason my kanna doesn’t cut into the mdf, so it quits cutting when it gets flush with the top. So the groove is cut to exact thickness. This takes some trial and error and maybe a bit of luck to get right without going too far lol
@@SethsProject I bet those strips really shine after running your Kanna over them. I’ve been using a drum sander for thickness planing, but I sure miss the finish from a sharp blade. I will definitely be employing your jig in the near future. Thanks.
You're way better with wood than you are with a camera! 😉 At least turn off auto focus. That way your work won't swim on and out of focus so much when you put a hand in front of the camera. Another thing that would help Is to position the camera so it isn't constantly obstructed by your hands. Lovely panel though
@@hunglikeahamster Appreciate it lol. Yeah, I did manual focus for awhile, but manually focusing every shit is a huge pain without an external monitor. It's also really hard to get a shot without my hands in the way sometimes.
I probably wouldn’t use a push stick even if it was next to my right hand! And when I’m done I would look next to my hand and say, “i probably should use this some time!”
Amazing work. It's truly unbelievable how nice it turned out
Bravo, verry beautiful
You made it look very easy mate bravo
Kumiko panel looks amazing! Super job! I've done some kumiko myself and you appreciate it more once you've tried it. Nice job!!
Thanks man! It's taken me years to get to this level, and I still have a lot to learn.

Kumiko*
Appreciate that a lot man! I’d love to get into another kumiko build!
This is definitely a patient man’s game. My woodworking is a lot more fast and dirty.
Very nice work. Would definitely be interested to see an updated video on your process for making kumiko.
Joli travail !
Unglaublich, was für eine tolle Arbeit 👍
Bravo! Perfect job! Thanks
Your the best I've ever seen so far set that bar high-quality

Thank you for the kind words, and good luck!
Just wow.
Looks absolutely amazing man... Congrats!!!!

It's all apart of the process man! It took me years of studying and trial and error to get to this point!
Looks amazing. Wish I could give it 2 thumbs up 👍
Very nice and detailed work! Now I have to go back and watch the start of this build
Beautiful Kumiko with other worldly precision. What is the light colored wood species?
Thank you! It's Aspen! Basswood is a nice wood to use as well, and the best wood would be Alaskan yellow cedar. I can't source any of that though.

@@johnturk8622 It’s funny you say that lol. I would most certainly use a drum sander over my method. It’s way faster!
How have you managed to keep all your fingers
Well I respect the tools, but I'm not scared of them. Also maybe luck.
wow!
Очень круто.
