Ive never played a fighting game before and this game was my first. Landing combos you practice is so satisfying and close matches are super intense. Its very very fun so far
That's the true meaning of competitive fighting games. Less about winning and more about pushing yourself to places you never thought you could be and pulling off satisfying combos you spent time practicing and pull off in matches.💯
Enjoy it man, I’m at a point in my life where I’m too ass to beat the really good players but just good enough to stomp the bad/decent ones, there’s a lot more of the good ones nowadays it seems 😭😭
I'm glad Max is enjoying this game, took me awhile to finally fall in love with it. When I first started I win some matches but others were so frustrating. Took me some time but now I'm getting more wins and very close to getting my first character, the amazing to play Katalina to A rank.
Really love seeing more GBVSR. Game is so much fun. What was going on with that Soriz though? He got the jitters? Spend all of his resources as if he had to pay maintenance fees, for pretty much no return and didn't employ some of Soriz' strongest tools for most of the match?
0:43 100%. I started the game playing Soriz and doing everything manual. I decided to branch out and pick up Charlotta as a secondary using only the special button and it's so much easier, so much more rewarding that way. Different games, different plays, that's all, but the muscle memory is hard to break. Every time I play Soriz I keep going manual even though I know I could be so much faster/efficient on the special button.
1:08 Didn't noticed it live, he literally tried to parry Gran's fireball. Not gonna lie, sometimes I panic and try to parry stuff as well. That's what SF6 does to you.
I must say I looked for a character to play and I went toward Sieg! Hes perfect and this game is ALOT of fun 😊 btw that opening match you KILLED it with those corner carry combos then corner combo into unblockable... that was OD!!!
It's really fun to learn in this game. I'm playing Yuel and finally doing some shit with her stance that I lost track of time today and here is already night lol
Cagliostro's 66H is not an overhead. It does swap sides and displaces you even on block, though. Cagliostro's 66M is the overhead. Is fast but doesn't lead to anything, mostly worthless and risky.
So yes and no, you can do the special button input that can lead to more consistent and some time damn near insane combos/moves but the only down side is that you do little bit less damage.
The game's Special button works just as good as the manual inputs. The only real benefit is a 10% damage increase on your special *if you're not cancelling into it* (basically only in neutral or in a reversal situation). The benefit to manual inputs is practically non-existent, so do whatever is easier to do consistently.
GBVS do have another input for their special which they dubbed the 'technical input' (AKA the quarter circle, half circle, charge motion, DP motion, etc). You can see them in the Character Guide by pressing "Show Technical Input". They have higher damage and faster cooldown in the original, but in Rising it's only +10% damage on neutral (no penalty for simple input for combos)
He kinda does that in most games, right? Meanwhile, my mains: SF: Blanka Tekken: Lei Wulong Granblue: Cagliostro I must be a green savage drunk little girl.
So many DPs in this game are hard to punish unless you know The Thing. Didn't sidestep second hit of install Vira medium DP? Well screw you then. Same with Charlotta DP. Belial too maybe? Some of the SBAs also have this, like Beelze's one that does the fence across the screen. Vira's install super too has very little recovery. You don't need to react to SBAs though, if you're in neutral state during the cutscene you can mash dodge.
The reason i dont use simple imputs is cause it just adds anotehr button. Im too used to LMH + Dust. Already have to add in dodge so i really cant fight the muscle memory of adding skill
I feel that, but in the case of this game I put the skill button next to the button I press with my thumb which is L, (I use arcade stick) since by default the skill button does light versions of special moves. For M and H versions I press thumb + index and middle finger. I've gotten used to it and it's been really nice.
I know it shouldn’t be shocking but hearing him doing manual inputs was wild to me. This is my first fighting game in forever and I tried using manual inputs for 3 days before deciding it wasn’t worth learning lmao
If this is your first fighting game then yeah manual input is super tough. For veterans like Max though the muscle memory from playing FG a long time is hard to give up
I really want to see Max fight a good Nier that will juggle him and really forces him to think or just agree with the audience on how cheap she is, or overly tuned. I do want to him get bodied but Mas has that dog in him to be like, "I see your game. I have something for you." Has he fought a good Nier for anyone that watches his streams?
Wow... some of those S players are totally worse than the B players I'm fighting now. That Soriz wasting brave points like they were flies, that Nier not connecting the supers and just waiting all the time... WTF...
I’ve seen everyone and their mom jump back on this. Did something happen? I’m not enjoying mk1 and like sf6 but sf just isn’t my thing. I need a fighting game in my life and it might be this again lol
I wouldn't use the easy inputs at all because I don't want to train myself to lose me technical savy in other fighting games. Also, using easy inputs for specials take longer cooldown time in Granblue. I only use easy inputs to do Cagliostro's traps.
special moves no longer have cooldown penalties or damage penalties for using the shortcut input in Rising- all that remains of the system is a small 10% damage bonus to doing manual input on raw (NOT in combo) specials. I think it's best to find what works for you, but you are basically not punished at all for using the special button. I mix at roughly 80% special button, 20% motions.
Because the perso is broken. Don't need to play good to win with. I known because I tried her now she is free during this week... My god never I player a character with so much option. Even when you do bad input... You can still win.
If you faceroll with her, you get the same results as this Nier in the video and it is a guaranteed loss. You want some easy, overpower, free win characters ? Release Leroy Smith, Arakune, ramlethal (GGStrive) and of course a legendary one... Petshop from the 90's jojo fighter.
Biggest issue for me right now on this game is 1. Characters are way too safe and its hard to punish so it just leads to one person playing single player the entire time while the other player has to block 24/7 and 2. Ranked needs to be set locked so people cant one and done
Nier S player is not very good like me who tried also nier. ... Still it's an S because you can see nier carry the player. I have 30 fight and I can still compete with player who have 500 and more... Even when I lose it's hard and tide for them. Oki I played beelze at the release of the vanilla game and I have so kwoledge and experienced... But still... I never see a character so much broken like that. The worst part is, she is fun to play maybe I will be back when she will be an true playable character.
This game is based on Granblue Fantasy; a browser game from cygames that put a lot of japanese people in misery because of gacha addiction. That is the company we support by buying these games.
That's like saying Dragon Quest is the evil RPG that forces local businesses to shut down and sends salarymen into poverty when a new game releases. Lmao, Granblue is adored in Japan.
Such L take has to bee satire. Also GBF in Japan is actually considered one of the most F2P gachas all around, and the pioneer of the pity system (spark) back in 2015 so people wouldn't go broke, so no.
This game is too much of a "Corner Fighter". At least with SF2 the attacks had less "epic" animations and you could actually see what is a low and what is a mid. In this game where most attacks visually looks like huge swings it is much harder to tell what the attack actually is, making sitting in the corner really annoying. But also just the fact that it 70% of the round someone is in the corner is really annoying to me.
Ive never played a fighting game before and this game was my first. Landing combos you practice is so satisfying and close matches are super intense. Its very very fun so far

That’s great ! Don’t get discouraged. Getting washed a few times is part of the experience and makes victories all the more sweeter.
@@Neon29651 but get washed is a mark of weakness isn't it?

Your games with that Gran player were really fun to watch. Both of you executed combos really well and did well applying pressure to one another.

Didn't noticed it live, he literally tried to parry Gran's fireball.
Not gonna lie, sometimes I panic and try to parry stuff as well. That's what SF6 does to you.
I mapped the block button to the same button I use to Parry in SF, so most of the time I evade instead.
I always love how every fighting game max plays just happens to have a red guy with blonde hair for him to play
Generic edgy character
Im pretty sure Max said it's a mod and someone made it for him
@@mariefmsr yeah Siegfried doesn't have that color scheme in the actual game, that's a mod lol
5:35 Yo, the timing of the super with the OST was pretty sick.

F2P moments right there, I can't wait to play this game later!

Hey Max how about giving Granblue Relink a shot? It's really fun man
How did you got to S without knowing the second hit in Gran's DP? That was literally the first thing I had to learn just to survive one round!
What? How would you loose because of the ex version of his DP it's not even one of his best moves
Hi max would love to see you try tormented souls playthrough this year. Keep up good work
There is so much dodge baiting in S Rank. Can't tell you how many times I've made one mistake and got combo'd to death by sieg or lancel
Wait what do max mean by manually inputing is wrong ? Is there another way of using specials ? AND with no downside to it ?
So yes and no, you can do the special button input that can lead to more consistent and some time damn near insane combos/moves but the only down side is that you do little bit less damage.

The Gran matches were so entertaining. What music track was playing during those fights? It made it so epic.
Yeaah that tech at the start of the vid, they'll have to eat that or dodge on the spot and eat a grab anyway. Really good setup for Sieg
Max out here playing as max. You love to see it. 😂

I never see Max use Siegfried's power-up move, does he forget he has it or is there a reason he doesn't use it?
Gives more power but you lose health
It's too costly (half of your remaining hp as cost) for less reward than either normal super
with all these weird characters everyone is a knowledge check really...

No longer true in Rising. Simple inputs don’t cause longer cooldowns anymore.
The only thing still discouraging simple inputs is a mild damage penalty, but cancelling into a move will apply that either way

Yeah, I'm having a tough time adjusting to the game, it feels difficult to get out of the corner once you're in it
So its every fighting games.
You're frankly not even seeing a single tournament of SF2 if you think corner play is MORE oppressive here.
