Thanks for watching as always. I’ve always had this idea for a GBVS is broken a while now and I’m pretty satisfied with the result. This is most likely going to be my last GBVS video until rising but I would like to think I left a good tribute to the community with all the content I made about the game. I haven’t played this game since Zooey came out, but it’s cool as hell seeing all the wacky stuff they added, makes me wish I played more. But this game does have a special place in my heart and I’m very excited for rising

This is pretty well balanced for an arcsys fighter. If the game is based on footsies there has to be kusoge in the mix and knowledge checks to keep the game interesting.
Ferry is a completely honest character

but yeah, Belial and Ferry were the sf4 Yun and Yang of this game. if you ever thought about fighting someone in tournament and you saw they had either of these characters, make sure you packed some Tylenol, their a headache
I played Ferry in the latest patch of GBVS. I had no idea she had committed war crimes in the past and was wondering why her anti airs felt like shit now. Now I know. Feels like she's still paying for her past sins in Rising, but I'm still going to play her.
Good stuff Merp, fun video, and peak usage of character themes, this game went through some goddamn nonsense, though I didn't recall Soriz having such combo issues at launch, I remember seeing tons of nonsense combos with him
Ferry and Ladiva were.... Ladiva rules and something you didn't mention is that she has a strike-throw mix in her Super, so you can't even win against the threat of her grabs and super by jumping, she could just hit you with the strike version of the super if she caught you trying to jump her command grabs
Ferry was "What if Axl was stupidly good" and just disgusting
I was a ladiva main at launch her damage was insane
Actually really interesting, I remember early on people were largely memeing with boot but actually seeing everything is fascinating.

Damn, u really talked about release gran without saying anything about boot. The top 4 in s1 (gran, kat, ferry and lance) were fkin wild. Mostly on the same level as each other, but totally separate from everyone else

Some of these design decisions baffle me but it's great to see they cared enough to change, fix, tweak and balance the game to a more balanced state.
Gotta admire the dedication.
Its wild looking back at Tactical Rush being this weird alpha counter/extender and then seeing SF6 just go "Actually that was kinda cool" and give us Drive Rush
love this video already, but is there any way you can add a small icon or something to indicate what is still in the final version of the game and what was patched out?
Love how the video states that the game is and was always busted, and then spends like 90% of the video going, "This was so bad on release until it got patched.".
Fun to watch this after mostly playing the game on release but being really excited for rising to come out after playing the open beta

Just a little pointer from a vaseraga main on release vaseraga would 180 if you jumped past him while he was marching when he did an attack, and I think it's safe to say that even to this day vaseraga's only real down side is his shit frame data so many characters can punish things normally that vaseraga can't so I'd say when he's armored he's amazing but when he's not he's pretty shit. But I still love the dude even if he can't 180 no scope people out of the air anymore.
Seeing that tier list from the Djeeta section made me really sad. I haven't touched this game since Zooey's release but when I did play it Ladiva and Soriz were the two I enjoyed the most.

Season 1 GBVS was so fun I miss the thrill of beating Ferry or Lancelot with Ladiva. I hope they buff her in the new game!
This video bot excited me and scared me for the release of Rising, I really hope things are balanced properly when it comes out as I would like the game to have a long life and a large playerbase.
Either way, it's going to be my second ever fighting game and I'm ready to get destroyed!

Someone who highlights why this game is actually broken. Especially that percival section. Ive talked to ppl who said he's honest. Like wtf no. A char that literally does anything and gets anything isnt honest. Djeeta was my only saving grace for this game but slowly dropped it that Im casual in it now. Hopefully rising puts Ilsa Monika and Sandalphon so I have chars I like outside of Djeeta to play. Never really liked the current cast of chars.
If a fighting game doesn't have broken stuff, im not playing. This is an indicator that i should get this game

I know I'm late but, you forgot to mention Ladiva's lariat or anti air throw used to be able to combo into far M xx ex lariet or something along those lines. (i forgot which one, i just remember they nerfed it soon after though)

Nah~ To be honest he really reminds me a lot of Lambda from Blazblue. The dash and gameplan is weirdly similar despite one being a zoner and the other being Lamb

None of this stuff is really "broken". Just strong options for each character. "Broken" is reserved for shit like basketball combos in Fist of the North Star, Adachi's B Ziodyne in BBTAG, Bayonetta in Smash 4, Phoenix in UMvC3 and stuff like that. Not just strong but game breaking moves, mechanics or characters. Granblue doesn't have any of that really.
What I learned from this video is that narmaya needs a buff ❤

You put to install the game and start without update, the online services will not work but you cam use the training mode to see all the caracters before nerfs

It was pretty fucked up to give a zoner a faster EX DP than a charge character. Like, the whole point of a charge character is that they have to spend time prepping their moves so they are supposed to come out and recover faster to make up for it. And that's why I say charge characters are bad design.

Nope, in fact i don't think it wall bounces in the current patch too, just launches them high enough for you to combo into standing light

Broken fighting games are the best fighting games. Best to play, best to spectate.
As a Yuel main, I know fully well how broken (in a bad way) her moveset is. her 214 is very trash. Her JH and JM can be crushed with lights. Her Ju doesn't do shit against dp and when it does get hit/blocked, it's always to Yuel's disadvantage.
