@@aaronshortmusic Nope! I'm into some quirkier pedals, so I wanted to wait until they did a few updates (like the looper, among other things) before purchasing. I LOVE their products, though, esp the Tim Henson Archetype VST
I want to make sure this does what I am looking for. I have a boss RC3 with a 60's Vox and a Fender tweed. I can send one guitar on one amp, and the other on the other amps. Sounds great. But now I want a bass sent to the bass amp and electronic drums sent to its own amp. Would that machine do that? Basically my issue is to be sure there are separate outputs to amps.
Hi, I need help understanding how to use the quantize without an external midi clock but with QC tempo. I understand that setting the quantize (e.g., 4 beats) and changing the tempo will match your recorded loop. I tried, and it did not happen. I would like to know what I am doing wrong.
Found this super useful. Have the quad and beat buddy. Any thoughts on a follow up mini vids.Further thoughts on looping beat buddy and guitars. I would tune in
Hi can we have 3 seperates tracks. For example, A and E button its a Play and stop button for track 1. B and F button for track 2, etc. Like the Loopstation Boss RC300.
Thanks for this great video so if i understood correctly you can't solo over a recorded loop without recording/overdubbing the solo? Unless you use the undo twice then hit play...?
Sorry it’s been so long that I don’t remember. I’m sure the app has changed since then as well. Also the QC has a looper now. It’s not as advanced but it’s built in.
So I want to be set up in stomp mode where 3 pedals are assigned to the looper. Pedal E would be record Pedal F would be stop (in this case I guess it’s called undo/redo. And pedal G would be my one shot. Leaving me all the other pedals for different fx. Is that possible??
Thank you for the video.... Is there a way to set playback level louder than what the output knob allows perhaps globally?. I find the playback is very low in the mix.
Is there possibility to divide sends from one looped track? If I loop guitar and vocal on the one loop - do this gear sends each signal to the mix or to the different outs?
Using QC as midi controller / effect unit for Loopy Pro (iOS) would be really interesting - any chance you would be up for exploring? The mic input (with phantom) is one reason QC is tempting. I’d also be interested on your thoughts about the quality of QC as an audio interface, including quality of pre-amps, vs your Apollo. Thanks for all your interesting content.
I was just using it today. Latency is not the best but I don’t notice it and audio quality is great. Also it now has its own looper as well. I love the QC and highly recommend it over the other modelers.
Hey, can you have two loopers? This is to be able to record, start and stop two tracks independently, kind of like a boss RC 600. I know you can’t be on the same screen for both at the same time, but perhaps maybe you can assign some basic functionality to and external controller or one of the buttons
I agree that this would be incredible. Right now you can only have one instance of the looper but if they allowed us to add 2-3 more and have them sync together then we could. Have an awesome looper in this pedal as well. I hope that they allow this eventually.
@@aaronshortmusic ill give that a try if i move the looper closer to the amp block its fine but if i put it at the end like i want on some presets it records quiet like i mentioned and wierd ihope my qc nots defected coz loopers r meant on the end of chain or begining
Can you connect air step to the QC via Wi-Fi? Sometimes wish the QC had Bluetooth ( to be announced in my imagination) There are some great Bluetooth midi controllers
Thanks for the great video. I now understand how to sync the beatbuddy via midi to the QC but what if your already using a midi controller (in my case the MeloAudio Midi Commander) to control other things on the QC. How can you then sync the beatbuddy to the QC when you’ve already used the QC Midi din port? Is it possible?
You’re welcome Phil. Yes you can do it as MIDI can be daisy-chained. Some pedals have a ‘MIDI through’. You can also do something like - Midi commander out to Beat Buddy in and then beat buddy out to QC. You just have to set each device up with their own channel and make sure that they are talking to each other.
@@aaronshortmusic Thanks a lot for your replies Aaron. I’m still pretty much a beginner when it comes to midi stuff. If I run a cable from midi commander to the beat buddy, how can I run a cable from beat buddy to the QC when there is no midi through on the bb. I suspect that I’m missing something obvious. Do I need a different kind of midi cable? Right now, all I have are single male to male cables.
@@Bigjuergo I agree that it would be nice but the Quad Cortex is primarily an amp and effects modeler. The looper is an add on. If you need a looper that does file import/export then it’s best to get a dedicated looper.
@@aaronshortmusic you are right, but technically it would be very easy to implement a decent looper in such high priced device that outsmarts all existing loopers! would gain a lot of additonal customers ;-)
I haven't bought own yet so idk, does anyone know if I make a loop in the cortex and feed it into Cubase and I hit record in Cubase while thr loop is playing&connected to computer/daw? Cuz that would save so much time sometimes depending on the part you're trying to create, and this also means I'd be able to record with freeze? What a time to be alive.
Thank you SO (!!!) much for the midi info for the looper, that was critical for me as I was using a digitech jamman but this is so much better!
Aaron, Really valuable video explained very simply & clearly! I’ll be looking at more of your videos going forward …. Thankyou very much, Neil 😊
