I love that despite Lilith cursing her, Eda enjoys poking fun at the whole situation. Although, I'm not sure she intended to make Lilith feel that bad about it. I mean, I feel like she made up for it by sharing the curse with her.

I can't decide which part I like more; seeing Lilith get spooked by Hooty, seeing her act giddy while Hooty's kicking those Fire Bees around or seeing Eda act motherly towards Luz again. The fact she goes completely out of her way to find foods that Luz is comfortable about eating speaks volumes of how great a mother she's become. Meanwhile, I'm still bitter about Camilla sending her to Conformist Camp (which is the Humans version of the Conformatorium)
She can't send texts without the portal, but that also begs the question: how is she charging her phone? In episode 16 you can actually see she used to run a charging cable though the portal.
The portal is busted so no WiFi. Lol. He will still need a key to open it so until that happens or Luz finds a way home, no connection. Also, this may be why her mom is looking for her. No portal means no messages or letters. Loss of contact may be why her mom starts questioning her whereabouts…

When Eda says there's not a lot of things that Luz can digest on the Boiling Isles. Well, we've already established that witches don't really get how humans work, so I have a headcanon that the only way Eda and Luz found out what she can and can't eat is the hard way. So, I kind of imagine the first few days of Luz being here being a very uncomfortable game of trial and error with Luz's face stuck in a bucket.

I don't know what to think about Luz's action in this episode: she's worried about Eda's life and she's willing to do everything to keep her safe. In a way, this episode helped us further developing Luz and Lillith characters. When she first arrived to the Boiling Islands, all Luz wanted was to become a witch, but as time passed, she discovered friends and a strange but loving family in Eda, King and Hooty; since Luz didn't have any friends in the Human Realm, she was willing to do anything and everything to be sure that she could have her friends and family. I kinda wish we could have an episode in the future where she suffers from a disease, mostly caused by the dark and sadness in her heart, and Eda and everyone else is willing to offer their "light" to help Luz. In Lillith's case, I think she wants to do everything to receive redemption and forgiveness, by doing everything by herself. I think the connection of her and Hooty can be a healthy one, to her, because Hooty, although he's annoying sometimes, knows the meaning of friends. What do you think?
