I wore a G Shock my entire enlistment in the Navy. I was an F18 Technician. On a flight deck more hours than I can count. Never had a single issue. Never needed a battery, or winding. Gathered it's time automatically. All for $100 or less. Still have that watch. The band is long gone, but the watch still works like the day I bought it.
@@Inferno45 the watch I speak of I wore in 2006 or so. And purchased on base. In that economy it happened lol. Nice SS. I have one just like it. Same color even. Cheers.
Love the design, there’s a symmetry that kind of works, but possibly makes the dial less legible. The strap options are a great feature. Love the videos.
I've been running lug adapters on all my gshocks for years now. Having multiple bands allows me to get home and easily swap my muddy working nato for something more clean and casual without having to fight the springbars back into place after a long day.
I almost thought those lugs were flexible. I still think positive displays are the way to go, and I'm betting a solar / Bluetooth model will follow next year.
Recently ordered the white version with positive display. The nato does look good on it. I’ll consider getting one once it arrives. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the mini-review! I like that they've incorporated standard lugs into the watch, but I agree, they should have gone with 20mm or 22mm lugs so they could make them a little narrower so the lugs wouldn't flare out that far (in addition to being able to use straps in our current collecttions). Looks a little weird to me. My eyesight sucks, and these are unreadable for me. And I'm not a fan of that giant X on the dial. Nice watch, but I'll probably stick with my GA-2100.
I’m hoping for a GM 2300. 🤞🏼 🤞🏼🤞🏼But 24mm? Why Casio why?! And yes, my OCD is unfortunately that strong. Looking forward to the full review! Dark brown for the win for me. 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing Dave. In my opinion tiny negative display is a no go for me , the indices color should match with the hands as it's increase the legibility. So i still stick to my old rangeman👌
Thank you for this great review, all the strap colors look good on this casio, but in my personal opinion, all the straps should've come with black hardware, but that's just my personal opinion. Specially that last one, that mustard "nato" with black hardware would've knocked over the park. Love your channel. Keep up the good work .
I really like this but I wish it was slightly bigger. I have fairly big wrists and hands so the existing Casioak already looks a little small but just about works. As this is smaller, I'm not sure it's for me but it looks awesome and I'm very happy Casio are waking up to the strap compatibility.
I’m not sure about this watch, love the size, two minds about the lug bits and the X but I do like it overall, I’d definitely leave it on the strap it was born with but if I did swap then it would be the first black one you put it on, great vid 👍🏻
FWIW the CNS ribbed straps can be "broken in" quickly, or rather made to conform to the watch case geometry and wrist very easily and quickly : wearing the watch, soak the band with cold or lukewarm water under the tap, and leave it to dry out completely on your wrist. Et voilà.
What I always complaint about Casio lineup is the color of the dial and numbers/points.... they are always low contrast, so its very difficult to see in the too bright or too dark locations, or if I ride a motorcycle,,,,,, I can't see what hours is it
Hi Dave! I went for the pink one. (God have mercy on me when it arrives) I'm looking to get a black nato strap to make it mor sutle...if it is possible at all. :)
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I much prefer the dial design of the 2100 series. I'm not a fan of that chunky 'X' shape in the center, and the two digital displays at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock look even less legible in this all-black colour variant than those in the all-black GA- and GAB2100 series. But those NATO straps are really cool! Cheers, //Rick
The GA-2300 in grey is back in stock and I have just ordered it! I have loads of 22mm straps for my 2100. So I don't need a strap adaptor, are the metal strap bars already included with the watch? Or do I need to buy some separately?
Bummer love this way more than the 2100, wish it didn’t have a black screen though. And kinda wish it was 22mm lug so I could buy marathon bars (which I’ve found to be much better and stronger than the cheap bars you can find) but sadly they don’t make 24mm bars
I am in the US, and I am wondering if there was a good way/place to import watches from Japan, just looking to save a bit and maybe find something that’s a JDM product. Any suggestions?
Hi, how was the CNS delivery, did it take a long time? I ordered wristbands two weeks ago and they still haven't arrived.🤷🏼 I stay in finland and I think the CNS operates in sweden, makes me wondering. Should have paid more to get a tracking.... 😞
I like what they did with the lugs and LCD, but the watch appearance I fo not find exciting. Still, the lugs are great. Mostly moving in a great direction Casio. Bring back Multiband 6 and use MIP displays rather than LCDs if you are listening.
I'm a bit sceptical about drilled lugs in a plastic/resin case. Probably the weakest part of the construction. Ofc it makes swapping the straps easier but after some years you probably have to buy a new case. Or a new watch. Still it's only around £100 so why not. 😃
I love the mix of simple yet complex design language. The X is really memorable. Right up my alley.

Aint no way you got a g-shock for only $100. Not in this economy atleast 😂
@@Inferno45 the watch I speak of I wore in 2006 or so. And purchased on base. In that economy it happened lol. Nice SS. I have one just like it. Same color even. Cheers.
So you haven’t replaced the battery since 2006?
@@J.Wick.which watch is it? Have you changed the band?
I love that Casio is trying new things! I like it!
I have the 2100, now I want the 2300 after seeing all these great straps! nice video, thank you.
Wtf, same :/
same
Love the mustard color pairing you did, looking forward to your review
Love the look of the 2300 band. That cement gray one is 🔥
The GA2000 had 24mm standard lugs about 5 years ago. It was followed by the 2100 which completely overshadowed it and relegated it to obscurity.
Just the Watch, Subscribed because your videos always make me smile!
Love the design, there’s a symmetry that kind of works, but possibly makes the dial
less legible. The strap options are a great feature. Love the videos.
Just received a black Casio Royale. Really great thing 🥰
24mm lug width looks too wide for a 41mm case... When you had the 22mm strap on it looked much better proportioned.
I've been running lug adapters on all my gshocks for years now. Having multiple bands allows me to get home and easily swap my muddy working nato for something more clean and casual without having to fight the springbars back into place after a long day.
I’m looking forward to seeing this model with a positive LCD display.
The white version has a positive display.
I bought this lovely piece today and I love it. It’s amazing 🤩
Watch is gorgeous. Changing straps is awesome. Heres hoping to more models!
Gonna end up being an iconic design I reckon!

Looks like a wolverine watch with the mustard. I like it
The black strap looks best. Got overall unifying black/shiny steel look!
Thanks for the upload. Didn’t know this was on the market.❤
So glad they did this! Now Casio just needs to launch a solar version of the 2300.
Great vid! The new straps add a lot of fun to this Casio. Wish they were 42mm.

khaki brown strap is *chef's kiss*
The khaki brown strap fits the look the best.
I love the look of this watch, its very sci fi, cyberpunk "mooncore" in the grey color.
Futuristic and bold - refreshing new design
Where did you get the mustard nato strap please ?
I think it looks good but I am a little annoyed with the Sunday to Saturday week.
I’m hoping for a GM 2300. 🤞🏼 🤞🏼🤞🏼But 24mm? Why Casio why?! And yes, my OCD is unfortunately that strong. Looking forward to the full review! Dark brown for the win for me. 👍🏼
This looks way better than the original one
Nice looking watch,nice change.
I hope a future variant of this black color one will have the regular LCD display and Tough Solar.
Appreciate the option to change straps, but I believe the 24mm lug width doesn’t compliment the design of the smaller dial.
Cool video. Thanks. I think the yellow was the winner

Nice to see larger easier to use buttons
This is super cool, I would buy a dw5600 with these lugs in 22mm. Nato on a g-shock without having to cut them to a custom fit is pretty cool
CND straps is the best! Great video 👏🏾
I really like this one. Wishing they expand on it, with metal editions, colors and technology like solar.
That's cool, nice compact watch and plenty of options to play with
Standard lug width and drilled lugs... definately moving in the right direction!!
Love the grey one with the orange accents
Negative, that gap and exposed spring bar would drive me crazy
yeah.. I kinda like that shape but I don't think it's gonna fit my slim wrist. (I usually wear 37-39mm dial size watches)
Great review/video and the straps! Where may we purchase this black GA2300?
Was waiting for the olive strap ... 😢
I’m not sure about this watch, love the size, two minds about the lug bits and the X but I do like it overall, I’d definitely leave it on the strap it was born with but if I did swap then it would be the first black one you put it on, great vid 👍🏻
As someone who hates large watches, this G Shock is great news.
Great video! What color brown is that @ the 4:30 mark?
The pumpkin color strap is beautiful
What’s the Brand of the Yellow nato?
I thought this Ish was gonna fly with the big heli there😂
That new model with a fully lumed dials would be the best watch also im users there will be adaptors to reduced the width to 20
why cant i get this watch in usa?
Good review Dave

Nice but why didn't use quick release straps?

Just bought this idc if some of you don’t like it i
Btw where do you go to get a wide selection of cheap Casio's in Tokyo ?
You don't need to shorten the parachute strap, just adjust it.
Love the grey model
Nice watch, I'll wait this one release in my country
The concept CasiOak!
Nice watch liking the bigX i like the mustard colour strap looking good bro
i like it ❤ it s small and has lugs and thin to have nato straps suiting it

That’s a cool watch ..never owned a g shock ..I own bucherer Royal Oak. Looks mega cool 👌

What exactly the color of X in the middle?, sometimes i saw black, but some other angle i saw grey on one line of the X😅
My casioak pulls on my hair, I just can’t use it. The rubber padding at the quick release is a culprit I think. Hope this one is more wearable for me
Not a fan of this model at all. I just can't unsee that giant X on the dial.
Same also the protruding lugs look awkward
I thought I was the only one not loving this
X-men watch
The x literally why I like this lol
There’s so much real estate. Make screen bigger!
This is the Xmen casoak...Professor Xavier approves 😂
What do I type in to find the straps and where can I purchase from?
Beautiful design, casio for me is the best durable watch in the world
I am in the US, and I am wondering if there was a good way/place to import watches from Japan, just looking to save a bit and maybe find something that’s a JDM product. Any suggestions?

my wrist can support max 38mm dials beyond that looks like a wall clock in my wrist. will this fit in mine?
I'm on my second G-Shock G2900...10 year battery life,data-bank etc...Quality watch...Ha!!
Amazing watch, the mustard strap is stunning.. where to get it from please?
He literally tells you in the video
It's just a terrible oak followup and straps don't help it , nice to see you can change them tho
Come here for a watch review.. but the d20 keep steel my attention..
Really Miss my friends and playing DnD together 🥲

This watch is polarizing😅 not sure to love or hate

Is this watch not for sale yet? I can't find in on Casio's website.
X looks amazing
I don't like the wider strap at the lugs
Where can I buy these straps ?
Where do you even buy the new CasiOak
It’s good but the OG casioak is the best one yet
Where can you buy this watch?
Finally, more Gshocks for men with thinner wrists.
awesome straps featured here
Where did you bought it from.. Can you include it in the description or in comment reply bro ? Requesting
