@litam tondy here we are speaking about being enthusiastic about music, something south America is known for, of course you can make an argument of Europe having a better quality of life... so what. A lot of Europeans come to live here, there has to be something good in here for them to feel attracted to
While in Dresden, Germany, I attended a concert of Mahler's 2nd Symphony. In contrast to huge excitement like in this video, the audience was calm even after the last sound of the Symphony, which made me surprised and weep as well. I was very moved by the performance and also the audience who observed silence.... Of course, after a while, a flood of applause followed. 😃
This is legit how i wish classical music was conducted, people don't need to just sit quiet, make some noise, show your enthusiasm and that just makes the music even better
I won't lie, that's lowkey what happened in my heart when I had the chance to experience it live 😅 Original video is about Man Cith winning the PL after Agüero's goal right ?
I will never forgive the bourgeoisie for establishing the most boring cultural norms for attending classical music concerts. I don´t want everyone to be dressed up in a suit and sitting quietly for one and a half hours, I need people to scream encore and rush the stage whenever some good ass music is played, like in the olden days.
To be fair, baroque and classical opera and romantic-and-beyond are two different beasts. Opera has included a lot of stage things and interaction from theatre (purposefully and intentionally, opera was thought that way from the beginning), whereas romantic-and-further music has more in common with watching a movie at a theater. You want to enjoy the whole thing because the whole thing has been thought out and following the musical story is much more arduous when there's explicit enjoyment from the crowd. It does raise a lot of problems I probably agree with you on as to what the fk orchestras are doing, but, if that can help you, try to approach the silence as another way of being in communion, as much as screaming your lungs out is. It's really a whole new experience when you see it that way.

This is the original video, later edited and adapted to fit the sports narrative.
Convince me otherwise.
This is how my inner self genuinely reacts to the last bars of Mahler 2nd symphony.

Why would you want that? That'd ruin the music
