Louise, it's so much fun! Please do expect that your palette and pans can easily get damaged, so for me it worked best to use products I had already "left behind". It's truly so fun to put something together just for yourself. Enjoy your week!
I love putting together custom palettes, I haven’t actually sat down to do it in years though! I own so much more makeup now so would probably serve me well to go back to doing this fairly regularly to rotate through my makeup and make sure it’s getting used.
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK 💯 I love how she started doing custom palettes as a way to “appreciate what she had”, rather than how I used to use them - which was just out of pure convenience for travelling etc. I think it’s a wonderful idea to use them as a way to better appreciate and use what we have! (And now I have a reason to dust off my empty z-palettes that have been sitting around unused since I stopped travelling!) 💗
Hi Beth. What an ingenious idea. Great way to ensure that you use the makeup colors that you truly love. We are kindred spirits. Shoes are my obsession. I have more pairs than I'll admit to. And anything from Anthropologie tugs at my heart strings. The Dandelion blush is such a beautiful color. I tend to lean towards lighter colors. Your eyes look phenomenal. A beautiful, finished look. I've never thought of depotting my favorite shadows and or blush, highlighter, nor bronzer. Something I should definitely think about. As usual, I so enjoyed your video. She got 30%, off the retail price and twice a year, they could fill up a paper bag with as much stuff as they could cram in, and it was a $25 flat fee. I reaped the benefits, because most of the clothes were an xs or s. Such fun days. I've always been obsessed with shoes. It started with my mom. She had beautiful heels to match every outfit. I loved playing dress up in them. I did see the daffodils in the snow. I think our snow days are in the past. I can't wait to make the final transition into springtime! Love the look 😍 I have one translucent powder in its original container, everything else is in MAC's customizable palettes (without the inserts). I only keep my favorites and chuck the shadows/powders I don't really reach for in a palette. All neat and mentally accessable 👏😀

@@InfinitegardenbyBethK They are great; sturdy and I appreciate the sleek design. They don't have the magnetic buttom, so you need to get a sheet of thin stick-on magnets for the shadows. Also, the lids tend to scratch if you stack them, so I put little silicone pads under the corners. Somewhat 'high maintenance', but so worth it 😅💯 During Easter I did a "mentally accessable" on my wardrobe - sooo nice 👍 Thank you, I'm doing well, and I'm looking forward to next weekend when the annual Copenhagen Salsa Festival takes place💃🎉 Hope you are also well and back dancing after lock-down 😘
Interesting about the little pads on the palette. That kind of thing would t bother me at all-I kind of like working on those little detailed things. Have so much fun at the Salsa event! Did it al red ash happen? We haven’t been out dancing since last summer. It’s time. 💃🏻

I wanted to "warm up" before the festival, but ended up catching a bug resulting in a sore throat + super annoying cough🤦 My immune system is totally out of shape because I've basically been at home for the past two years during the pandemic. I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend 😭 👿 Keep your mouth closed and use tons of sanitizer if you venture out 🙊😷
I've recently been wondering about brows with gray hair. You mentioned in this vlog that you use a gray brow pencil? I've been looking at brow dyes, brow powders and pencils. I'm curious about how people decide the shade of their brows. I guess gray hair = gray brows
Hi, Jenise! I’m honestly still finding my groove. I’ve been experimenting with different brands and different tones. So far I have a couple I like (ABH Brow Wiz in Medium Brow) and some that I’m not 100% on (Benefit precisely my brown in Grey). There are others that are a flat out no (anything warm is out). I hope to figure this out soon. My brow hairs are dark but sparse so personally I’m not sure dye would change much, but maybe later? I did try some powders for a while and liked the formula but I didn’t find my right color. So sorry for the non-answer but I’m in the midst of my field research 🔬 🧐
