This lake happened the year I was born and I grew up going here every summer from LA. It is and always has been the most awe inspiring and connective place for my soul on this planet...HUGE shout out for those that captured my memories and incredible love for this place I call home to my soul....THANK YOU!
Back in the 1980s I brought my small boat to Lake Powell from Montrose Colorado near Telluride and spent eight days contemplating life right here in the most beautiful place for peace and tranquility. I’ve been hoping for a long time that you would do a video on this amazing place so thank you.
You should have seen it before it was flooded, that was real beauty, not a lifeless, stark place. It was built to enable Vegas and Phoenix to water their many golf courses !!

When I watch this beautiful video I see how low the water level has fallen. It makes me sad to see this lake fading away. Hope for lots of snow this winter. Gods creations are so amazing.
I went to Lake Powell when I was 12, it would have been 2004 or so. We spent a week on the lake in a houseboat. It was very surreal. Super fun. I still vividly remember it.

Absolutely breathtaking. I've never been to Lake Powell, but definitely want to go. I find the rich redness of the rocks so attractive and captivating. Two weeks ago, when driving from Arizona to Washington through Mesquite and St. George, we saw all that red richness in that canyon. Thank you for sharing this video of our beautiful beloved Earth. 10:08 The boat ride into the canyon of Rainbow Bridge is so amazing it will take your breath away, the sheer walls, the super deep water and then you see Rainbow Bridge, we were there one year 11:44 there was water all the way up to it. There is, or at least used to be a large tour boat that would go there.

Nicely done. The music totally fits the theme and atmosphere of the video. Interesting how much the water levels have dropped. The camera shows the grandeur and color nicely. Such high resolution picture quality. Overall great video. Also the amazing quality of the reflections of the mountains into the water was astounding, the water was so still and clear.
Took 12 years to fill the lake after they damned it. It’s like filling the Grand Canyon half way up and taking a boat on it, but better. Nooks and crannies to explore. Most fantastic tranquil place I have been. And I travel a lot.

Just so everyone knows, in July, the water level was approximately 50 feet higher than it is in this video. Utah had really heavy snowfall 2018-2019 (about double the normal average).

Nice, I live in Utah. I love when you go to places here. It's an amazing place. My personal favorite place is Arches National Park.
