Hey guys, Lift Mech here. I just saw this vid and wanted to say thanks for enjoying my skits. I havent been doing the long bit lately (when we go into the academy and fix the big lift) because of the 2min disconnects. I have tried making a mini boss fight against me as the lift goes up and down after a repair which seems to be ok. I also saw a comment about using oil pots to grease the chains, I'll definitely be doing that next time. Also im trying to make an actual build out of this. If yall ever wanna duel either find Lift Mechanic or Spellblade Lena! (my main pvp build atm) Edit: i dont die when i jump in the pit (its actually the secret control room, dont let the R.L.F.M know i told you guys) i got the silvercat ring, my boots are lined with soft cotton so im fine. The blood curdling scream is to let the other mechs know im coming down so i dont land on them :)
Hi sir, I'd like to commission an inspection on the volcano manor bridge, people have been recklessly jumping on the gears that are made to lift the bridge in order to bypass long travel, if this continues it could cause wear on the gears, and seriously malfunction and people could fall to their deaths trying to jump on and off this thing. You have clearly laid out a highly qualified resume of your mechanical know how, and what to look for when inspecting even the smallest mishap in metal work and mechanisms. I trust you'll get the job done, that is if this even worth your valuable time. I know you are a very busy man. Sincerely a fan of unique builds.
its the small things that are killing me here, the Warning lights he places, then him warning not to get close, the CROUCH so he can see the chains better. all attention to detail. this man is very qualified
That's why I love this game. I fought an invader 1 on 1 with taunter tongue on and he invaded while killing a tree sentinel boss and waited till I was done to attack and then when I had almost beat him he ran back some dropped a bunch of runes and bowed before jumping to his death. Its the little interactions like that that makes the game amazing.
@@SlickDangler10DS1 was like this. Had the absolute best community in its heyday. My first playthrough, my first invader just dropped me souls and killed himself. I was very confused.
Midir, Melania and the Orphan of Kos don't got shit on the almighty Elevator Boss™. Not even Radahn could master gravity magic to the degree of the elusive elevators.
Tesla cars don't make the engine noises people like, so the car pumps them in via a soundtrack through the car's speakers to make drivers feel cool. The lifts in The Lands Between are similar. They're driven by magic. The nostalgic squeaky chains sounds are actually illusion magic that's used to make the lift sound more like a genuine, mundane lift.
Sometimes... I forget that some of the creative side of the Soulsborne community still exists to brighten your days in Elden Ring and make you forget the bad things that exist... I love this guy, be like him, cheer people up, but most importantly, you'll need self love and confidence to do anything like this😂❤
I got summoned to a hosts world who’s name was “your ex” and strictly used poison, frost, beast roar and a whip. I let him kill me because i almost pissed myself seeing the roaring and proc buildup.
This is rp at its finest. The amount of detail that went into this man’s work. Working in an underpaid job out here doing the dirty work so we can continue on our journey unharmed. What a kind soul. 😁
Oh my god, is this a recent trend? A guy did this to me on xbox too! I kinda messed up his act tho. once he pulled the lift down i assumed he wanted me to step on it too. I did, we rode it up. he jumped off and killed himself. presumably in anger
I always wondered how lifts keep working in souls games even after a big apocalypse and now I finally know! Thank you for your hard work, all lift mechanics!! 💖
Look buddy. I'm a lift engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like "Who is the next Elden Lord?" because would fall within the purviews of your conundrums of prophecy. I solve lift problems.
This kind of thing is, by far, my favorite thing about Fromsoft enjoyers. The Dark Souls hackers who did cool magic tricks without ruining your day were awesome, the builds that look and behave like super similar to pop culture icons are great, but mundane workers like Lift Inspector, here, complete with warning flares, is now my favorite thing of all of them. It's the exact opposite end of the spectrum from big, crazy magic tricks, but still just as good in a way. It's mundanity to the point of hilarity. The nuances really make the character. I wish I had been smart and creative enough to come up with this lmao. I can't wait to see what other iconic characters will emerge.

This community can be very toxic at times but I love it when I see people just fucking around like this. Makes for a good laugh and now I know I'll be safe whenever i need to use these lifts.
Had an invader called "hide and seek" or something that used the item that transform you into an object and when i found him he waved goodbye and left 😂

Bro, this skit literally changed my life. I was laughing in my office the. entire. time. Thank you for what you do
Just discovered what you were doing and I gotta say you really made me laugh (No easy task). Thank you so much for doing this :D
Can you make the Siofra well lift a bit faster? :/

that's how it looks when someone has passion for his job. loveable sort.
What i find hilarious is that banging that giant ass hammer against those chains would be incredibly dangerous xD

I had my fair share of weird acting lifts in souls games so this is appreciated.
"Contraption does not move"

The lift was still creaking, I’m disappointed that the mechanic didn’t oil the chains 😂
Omg if he used an oil pot thatd be amazing
I'd like this comment, but I can not, I am sorry. That would put you out of *69, nice* range.

The chaotic side of me wonders what he would've done of you just ran up and triggered the lift
Black Knives = O.S.H.A
Same thing that happens when you swing at Whiteface
when he started hitting the chains with comically large hammer i lost it
Soon, Tarnished, wilt thou be taken in the jaws..of the Abyssal Serpent, shorn of light.
He wasn't wearing all of his PPE, but I suppose OSHA has no power in the Lands Between.
I love guys who do stuff like this. Just brightens my day.
This is extremely funny to me. It's so mundane and simple yet so beautiful and elegant.
10/10 a Dumké mastahpeece, instant classic.
He checked my lift too, bless this guy
He is doing his part to help raise our spirits
"the elden ring was shattered, and the tarnished called back to the lands between to restore the infrastructure. Rold was an engineer!"
I REALLY wanted him to use nod in thought after inspecting the last chain
It’s weirdly adorable lol idk why
I always suspected that lift was troublesome. Thank goodness this guy is looking out for us lowly Tarnished.
This feels like a Wild Wasteland encounter, I love it.

Hahhah, poor guy.
No, he left because your lift was working
I heard about this guy in the comments section, wanting so badly to see it in action, and then I wake up to this, God bless you
Also checked my lift a while ago. Seemed a little more motivated back than. Was a little annoyed at first by not getting a duel but still enjoyed it.
That's amazing, it's little moments like this that make the game truly special
You dint pay your mechanic?

So that is who’s maintaining the lifts!!! And here I thought it was all magic. Sometimes it’s just elbow grease…or magic grease 🤷♂️
I would have lost it if the punch line was the inspector turning around and falling into the pit after snapping and sending the lift back up
we appreciate your work, that lift never fails
I can’t explain why but moments like this are absolute peak in fromsoft games.
Ever since the shattering trade jobs have become in very high demand, this tarnished can make upwards of 607000 runes per year doing this
I too appreciate a good funny invasion. If you ever see a Drip Inspector or Tour Guide, that's me!

This guy just won life, the universe, and everything.
This really reminded me of the elevator inspection video from Dark Souls 1
Some people are so weird in the best way.
