    I have the exact model it doesn't hold air but the lever does opperate. The trigger has spring, and I unscrewed the barrel all good there It's been fun family all my life. 👍

    Thank you for making this video. You don't see many of these. This might have been the same one I had on my ebay watch list, and forgot to bid on. Looking forward to what is inside it and what you have in store for it. Please keep the videos coming.

      Charles, As a matter of fact we'll be doing a tear down video in a couple of days on that little puppy to see just what kind of goo is keeping the spring from working. Thanks for watching and drop back by!

    I recently acquired a Red Rider Carbine No111 model 40 built 1953-54. Plastic stocks and large Red Rider on horseback with logo on the butt stock. Aluminum lever. Needs a couple screws to be operational again.

      Great! You can get phillips head screw sets direct form Daisy or from Mark Ritter over at the Cobalt 327 store on the 'Bay. If you're looking for the original standard slots you'll have to dig around for a bit.

    I just found one in the attic of my home. What is the worth please?

      Best bet would be to check similar models on Ebay. Use the sold search to see what the guns actually went for. It's all about condition.

    I know you are an expert on these older Daisys and have a question. I just recently acquired a Model 95 that needs 3 stock to receiver wood screws. Do you know where I could find these screws? Thanks.

      Malibu Guy,
      Depends on what you want. The Model 95 is a wide frame Daisy so you don't have to worry about the stock to receiver bolt like a Model 94. When I rework one I normally replace all three factory screws as part of the restocking process with #8 1/2" pan head tapping screws and I like to pre-drill them to avoid splits and cracks. If you're looking for Daisy factory screws that could get a little tough as you'll have to hunt them down on the 'Bay or else where on the internets. I'm not sure Daisy offers a screw set replacement for the wide frames as they've reduced their spare parts support effort and I've not had a reason to look. Considering just how wide the wide bodies are you could go as long as 3/4" but you might run into issues with screw bind if you're using the original factory wood.

      @@RestOModDaisy Thank you so much for the reply. The original screws on my Model 95 appear to be a 5/8" blued pan head #2 phillips. I have seen similar screws that were a black oxide finish but would really like to find the original blued screws. I called Daisy and they said sorry we know longer stock these parts. One thing I have noticed about the Mod 95 is the extremely short stock, almost unusable for an adult. Have you noticed this too with the Mod 95s?

    Is there any way to fix a bent stock/forearm

    • @RestOModDaisy
      @RestOModDaisy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's an older Daisy plastic stock I have heard that the super careful use of a heat gun over an undetermined period of time might be able to reduce the amount of droop in a fore arm or warp in a butt stock but I've never tried it.

      @@RestOModDaisy do you sell the tools to work on these things? Mine is the same as the video

    • @RestOModDaisy
      @RestOModDaisy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasoncole4089 I make a mainspring compressor to aid in the removal of the spring block but it's a real simple tool to build yourself. Just two 11" long stiff steel rods, I use welding rod that has had the coating knocked off stuck in a wooden handle. The ones I fab up go for $5 and shipping but like I said, super easy to make.

      @@RestOModDaisy Do you also sell the wooden dowel and line up tool? How about the newer model shaved down piece as well as receiver bolts?

    • @RestOModDaisy
      @RestOModDaisy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasoncole4089 The 3/4" wooden dowel for placing an abutment washer is an off the rack item at your local big box store. As far as the slender wire used to thread the airtube through the abutment washer aperture you can get that there as well in the hardware section. There's no reason to pay freight on those items. While you're there you might as well get a caulk gun and a couple of 1/2" hole fender washers to make your compressor tool for disassembling the plunger. That combined with a phillps screwdriver and a nut driver gives you pretty much all the tools you will need to disassemble/reassemble your Daisy Red Ryder.
