I game on a 270 dollar gaming PC and Fortnite with low graphics get me a comfortable amount of FPS. I don’t mind the PC because it plays most games above 75 FPS, although I am thinking of upgrading to AM5 motherboard with a better CPU and better GPU.
I would advise not too. It seems very nice that you can game where ever you want, but in reality, you need a charging point. When you play games the battery goes down insanely fast. I suggest just buying a pc since they are cheaper and you just don't have to worry about charging.

Was the second monitor running off the pc? Wallpaper engine severely hurts performance if you have an intensive wallpaper or multiple monitors. If you disable wallpaper engine you should get much higher framerates.
I know this is old. But for that price point buy used. I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 i5 1650 for $250. It runs everything on at least medium settings over 60 FPS. Most games I'm maxed out though, nothing wrong with used hardware, just gotta check it out.

Turn off vsync for higher fps it helps a lot previously my laptop was running 38 fps with a 3050 and after turning vsync off I got 120 fps smooth

My GTX 1650 with the i5 runs 130 to 135or140 fps and in creative above 200 by the way the laptop is 500-600 dollars
