@@followtheboat I was about to say the same thing. The trip you are doing causes me to pull up the places on Google Maps every time you mention a new place. What a trip!
Liz, perhaps put out some teasers/flashers/chum to attract fish? When I see big weather in front of my path, I get to safety and cover ASAP. Better safe than sorry. Been sorry, don't want that again. 😃👍👏👏👏🐻
I do use teasers when the sea is good, but my heart wasn't in it that day. The biggest problem here is the amount of crap in the water. Even two lines get tangled in plastic bags. Sigh. 😑 Liz
Yep, all over southeast Asia, wherever there's a bird house (where they collect the nests for that famous soup) the noise is incessant and at 189 decibels! Liz 😑
Oooh, matron, I love it up the Dart. Haha! Did you ever go to the Ferryboat Inn during its heyday? I did my Competent Crew course out of Dartmouth. 🙂 Liz
I've heard about it in the news, sounds bloody awful. But on the positive side, I hear it was the hottest year on record and the last 4 coldest years were over 60 years ago! I've even been listening to World Service programmes about tropical creatures who are now making their way to the UK's shores! 😮 Liz
Our local meteorologist, Ruldolph, was a fellow from one of the Scandinavian countries. A big imposing fellow, with a full head of red hair. We called him 'Rudolph the Red' He was very good at predicting the weather especially rain. When one of our lady cruisers asked why he was so good, he replied "Rudolph the Red Knows Rain Dear" - I'll let myself out, thanks!
Been a little wet and windy here too and I don't mean the women, today's low was 981.3mb and 10.5mm of rain according to my wx station, still not tried getting wx satellite data using the vhf radio sending emails via hf radio, just been too bloody lazy, maybe later this year I will faff about with it, keeping my fingers crossed your engine keeps itself together and you make your deadline to haulout.
It's been bloody wet and windy here in real time too (dunno about the women...)! That engine finished off the full hair-greying process for Jamie. Nightmare. Liz
@@followtheboat Ah don't mention the hair lol I've gone grey ( white in places ) and losing it on top ( friar tuck style ) so been cutting it with a trimmer ( 0 ) maybe a little colour in his hair will brighten his day ( punk rocker ) could be a sex pistols theme video :0
What do you do when you see a big weather front in your path?
11:51 - "It's a very gray day..." Locally, when it's like this, we say "Looks like the Navy painted the sky."
Ooh, interesting, I've not heard that expression before! Liz 🙏
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching! 😄 Liz
Thanks again for a great chill video. I wish you both continued peace and good health!
Aww, such a nice thing to write. You too. 🙏♥️ Liz
My geographical knowledge grows with each episode. Thanks for taking us to faraway places.
Just like us! We don't know nuffin' about nowhere until we get there! Glad you're along for the ride. Liz 🙏

That last bit on bird houses playing the same recording incessantly is interesting. Thanks.

Rainy Sunday 🌧 ☔️ Great for YT sailing.
You got that right! Thanks for watching. 🙏 Liz
Love it up the Dart, spent a few days on the hook up at the anchor stone a few months back.

You talk about gray wether......the last days had been like a gray woolsock over the skay, as it use some times in the winter! Nice video as usual!🕊🇸🇪
It's been grey again here in real time. Sun's shining today, though. And it's always hot. 😄 Liz
Liz and Jamie your not missing much in the UK we have had crap weather here for the last 3 weeks 🙄 wind and rain 😀 😳

Hoping ya can do some “Sailing” Soon & yer Engine holds up👍 Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy 😎
That's the plan! You stay safe too. Liz xx
Excellent. Looks nothing like the Dart I sail in 😁 What are you using to get your weather?
Haha, yes not really the Dart, but there was just something that took me back there! Windy and Predictwind... 👍 Liz
@@followtheboat I meant how do you pick up the data. Do you have iridium go?
oowee - We use our phones 99% of the time. We have Iridium Go for off-grid places. Liz
