I've been using this technique for a couple of years to attach lanyards to my flashlights for work. I prefer paracord lanyards with a Celtic Button Knot slider for adjustment over the commercial lanyards that come with the lights. Those have plastic, sliding tensioners that make a distinct noise when hitting Kydex or similar and that noise travels. One thing I found is, you don't need the stopper knot. Leave a long static-end pair, tie an overhand knot in the pair so you can anchor the lanyards and put a Marlin Spike or just anything jn the temporary loop where this jas a stopper knot. Pull very hard, trim the excess, melt, and it's secure - no stopper required.
This will be perfect for our flogging paddle to keep it from slipping out of my wife’s hand when she’s paddling me for being a bad boy. I might even add a paracord handle wrap to counteract the Astroglide a little bit as well
In college I had a knot tying class for theater so I enjoy these videos so much. Brings back memories ♡ and tying knots is fun and very useful tfs
