Bad obsession did a similar thing with building a race car...similar to the k car but it was a race series... When's the Collab where you both build race cars and enter an event together lol
It's the local track organisers trying to fleece more money from the unknown foreigners and nothing to do with the license at all. That's how it normally works in Malaysia.
Likely because they had to process the licensee on the spot for you guys to race ASAP. Standard procedure for it usually takes 7 days, of which a bank transfer is accepted. But since it's the weekends, bank would only process any international transfer the next week.
In Thailand and Malaysia if you not paying cash for some extras that not entirely what would seem the the norm then you not having the experience of a lifetime lol . The finish parade lap was awesome, this sort of magic is lost in the first world thanks to overdose of safety/regulations . Think you guys want do an event in Thailand at some point in future ... Was great just watching this experience, glad it turned out a 1st place win in everyone's hearts ...
To be fair, it would be very difficult to have your living and your hobby come together. I wouldn't do my job for fun at home too. So if he actually maintains cars as a hobby, he actually really ❤ cars.
Anyone else struggle with superlatives to describe how much they love MCM? Simply perfect. Thank you for always sharing epic content with us, and for free!!
This MCM feature film is by far my favorite and I've been watching MCM since the beginning. The camaraderie and all round and unforgettable memories made as a group of friends will live on forever. What an amazing experience.
Moog: Who's the Boss?? 😡 Stacey: Me 🥰 Moog: That's right... Have fun Stacey ☺ 1:02:20 - That little interaction was the cutest thing I've seen, period. What a great environment to be in.
As Malaysian that has been following this channel since the mods is happening at the driveway, it gives me goosebumps knowing MCM has come and race at my country. What an honor. Thank you so much for such a high-quality content you guys have been providing us all these years. You guys a lagend.
fr dude. I was watching since I was 13, now I'm 25 with a Perodua Viva. They teached me that every car has its own potential, and it's up to the owners to find it. Loving my car, light (we figured out that's not a good thing lafter recent scandal lol), nimble, economical as hell, and they can take some pretty good beating!
I don't often leave comments as I feel it will just be lost in 1000's of others, but this was epic (along with the Christmas Day main film) You guys and girls really are truly inspiring. Well done from a UK 'old banger' GC8 owner. (think 'old banger' is a reasonable English term for 'nugget')
What a mission!!! You built your platform in Australia, took it apart, packed up, travelled to Malaysia then put it together in unfamiliar garages. It was a cool runnings moment at the end. where other tech crew came together to help. Great accomplishment!
I'm a sensitive bloke, that loves cars and quite a few beers. 30 minutes in and ive got double vision hearing the team talk about the Aussie anthem, and the start of the race. MCM is the best car geek content available on line. It caters to all. Thank you, Marty, Moog and everyone behind the scenes. You've allowed us all to be inspired, given confidence, and created relatable content for so many people. The joy and enthusiasm from you is typically Aussie, but youve brought the whole world along with you. Thank you so much for all of these specials, and the regular content you produce. Chopped
the vibe i get from this racing series is so similar to the 24 Hours of Lemons in the US. the most fun we have is when EVERYONE can get their car across the line at the end of the 24 hours. teams work together to patch things together, friendships are built, and fun is had. this is such an epic adventure, im glad you guys were able to participate in something that some of us in the other "crappy car" world feel all the time. nuggets racing is the best of the best.
This story still gets to me. It's still a story more than just about a race. So much love and comradary between everyone, total strangers. I still teared up watching this extra episode on the event. Seeing the kindness from total strangers in the shops you visited for local snacks, tools, to the total strangers you were in competition with willingly jumping in to keep you all going, it's all a massive victory. A victory not just for car enthusiasts but humanity itself. In a time when everyone makes a competition out of everything that's not one, fighting each other til bridges burn, this story showed humanity can still come together and give helping hands in something that legitimately was a competition. I hope this story gets out further than just the automotive community. There's so much to learn from this. And as you guys said, you can make dreams happen from starting with nothing, just go out and try. Work together, not against each other. Easily the highlight of your journey so far for me. And a personal highlight for 2023 for me. Thank you all, again.
I second that ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ exactly what I was gonna comment😂 you saved me the excruciating task of organizing the mumble jumble of my thoughts and emotions into a coherent long comment on Sunday night. Cheers
I don't know what gives you the idea you are cut out to do any of this - I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE. I was in tears for both the Christmas day special, and now again after seeing this. This is what friendship can be. I hope you never ever stop reaching for the next brass ring - with all your mates.
Why am I tearing up? What a beautiful show of love for a culture and a love for humanity. Thank you so much, MCM. You're all absolute units and 100% Rockstars. I wish I could be a part of something like this!
Isaac and Dave are legends could you do a feature episode on them and their cars and maybe tuning fork? I'd love to see their cars and gear about what they were into and how they got into cars.
Ten Thumbs-up gang. A shitshow of car, dragged kicking and screaming to the start line, beaten to submission around the track, with open heart surgery, a new nervous system. But it's the people that are in the team that are where it is. What a legendary vid. Watching this video gave us all chills of excitement. You keep setting the bar higher and higher - and keep smashing it.
7:10 finally learning what was previously censored here made me smile so big 😁 and you can tell Marty is immensely stoked to go on the adventure. Go Team Koala Lumpur!!
I wish I knew guys were in Malaysia I'm an Australian working here it's a great place to live. A job well dome in the race will be a life time memory hope you come back next year.
Having worked with Malaysians in my former job - they are really amazing! Some of the best people I have ever had around me to get stuff done. MCM have really inspired me with these 2 videos - affordable racing with a bunch of guys... I wanna do it! Thank you so much! More like this...
42:50 I can relate, I've done endurance racing and I lived for these moments where you have to get the car back up and running. So stressful, but so rewarding!
Stacy! Absolute legend! Been watching since the days of the Blue Turd and living vicariously through you guys this whole time. Seeing the team make it to the very end was emotional. I hope you guys keep joining this race series again in the future.
@ 1:02:24 Moog: Whose the boss? Stacey: Me Moog: That's right. Have fun Stacey. I teared right up at that interaction. So incredibly wholesome and sweet. Truly the content that you guys make is insanely uplifting. Thank you guys so damn much!
This was probably my favorite from all the feature lenght videos. I mean all of them I have enjoyed through, never once getting bored. But this? Gave me the biggest smiles I've had watching anything ever. The people were so nice. Absolutely beautiful. Cheers from Finland!
Can we take a moment to recognize the badass that is Julian? Man comes out of nowhere to quietly and humbly kill it on the track and in the garage. On top of that, you'd think he was a veteran on the channel with the confidence and charisma he spoke with. And if that wasn't enough, he was from Malaysia and could help out with the planning, advance team, and translation as needed. Total legend and hope to see some more of him around!
Absolutely legendary! Everything you guys have done for the car community is awesome but more than that just having fun with friends and making new friends shows this goes beyond the car community. Thank you guy for the positivity.
What an absolute bunch of legends you all are. You should all be so proud of yourselves memories like these will never fade. I have played for Australia at World Cup events for wheelchair rugby league and the friendships and adventure is something you will cherish for the rest of your life.
Might Car Mods have always been my Automotive Motivation!!! When life gets crazy and I'm looking for peace MCM and an afternoon in the garage makes everything better. Thanks Marty, Moog and the whole team for the positivity and motivation.
So impressed with what MCM has achieved over the years and to organise and participate in this race. Well done to the whole production team and the race team!
It's a challenging in all ways, mental, physical, emotional, teamwork, sportsmanship, integrity, leadership per individuals, technical, theoretical, experiences gained against the truth in reality, and much more. I'm excited if MCM goes for another enduro race. Been your biggest fan ever since marty & moog's videos of goofing around in their old garage.
My eyes were watery watching this video. I felt the team effort, the warmth of true friendship that everyone put together to make this journey come through, culminating in crossing the finish line at the end. You MCM has won everything before you even cross that finish line! I'm so proud of you all, and thank you for making Australians proud.
This is incredible. A very sincere thank you to everyone for all of the hard work. All the behind the scenes work sounds massive. Dave is a MCM Legend.
Dave, you are amazing. You stayed up because of your worry, and your specialty. You are a king. Take your time, get some rest. And Stacy! She basically set the whole thing up. You can't knock that. Glad she got to get her dream.
This end of year special really. made my year. I enjoyed watching this behind the scenes as much as i enjoyed watching the special itself, with all the entire team talking about their own experiences and coming together like this to do something so very awesome! Nothing netflix or hollywood has got me this excited about something on the screen in a very long time. This race had me on the edge of my seat at every turn. great job everyone of you!
I love the pure distilled MCM energy that these two videos have had. Not caring about winning or being the best and fastest, but caring about working on cars with friends and having fun. Stacy being a part of this is such a testament to it as well, being included as an equal team member and hyped up and supported by everyone, having never been on a track or even driven a manual before. Moog's lines of "who's the boss? That's right you are" when she would head out was just so wholesome. It's the exact energy I love to see in hobbies. Not gatekeeping, or shunning people who aren't super skilled or aren't "true fans," but welcoming everyone and encouraging them in a hobby you love and want to share.
What a legend. Came home from work and saw this i clicked it so fast almost broke my mouse button haha. Thank you for coming and experience Malaysia, honestly at end there i shed some tears of joy and proud to be Malaysian and see how MCM turned out after all these years diy wrecking and disrespect cars. Thank you so much for this. I didnt regret watching your early videos about how to make your car fast. You guys are the best!
Amazing video, honestly I didnt think I was going to watch more than 10mins but I ended up watching the entire thing. 57:21 Thats how it should be. Your fellow competitors and mechanics offering their skills and knowledge to help out like that, touches the heart
Nice to meet you, my name is SALTO Racing. The bib is 456 We were running the same race as you. Your team is also shown at the end of my TH-cam. I'm looking forward to racing together again.
My face muscles are hurting from smiling from start till finish, and at the finish line you chopped my smile with yours. Well done to all, your best yet
Can't hit the thumbs up enough for this. This video and the actual race video...top tier content. Being a subscriber since nearly the beginning, I've loved watching your journey from your driveway through this. You two are absolute legends and I love that you are able to do what you do. And...it's inspired me and given me the confidence to do stuff to my own cars. I've got your flag in my garage and chopped fingers on my lift. Thank you so much for all you do and for making content for us!
This is what I remember as motor racing in the early 1960's. The were club events, with all teams helping each other. This is what club motor sport is now. Well, it is with the MGCCQ and the hillclimb at Mt Cotton. Sure we have those in their purpose build open wheeler race cars with their $1000 a corner rubber. But they too are there for the spirit of the event. They are there when I had problems with my car that cost 8 times less than their engine. Take your road car, join a club and experience the fun of driving your road car. At 78, I still enjoy the meetings. It is getting harder to get out of the car, but the fun is still there. Thanks to all of you for two great videos. I would love to do that track in a 24 hour race.
Each and everyone of not only your team but everyone from the other teams deserve a huge round of applause. The amount of camaraderie and support is incredible. Such an amazing experience to be part of, thank you for sharing this with us.
This is probably the most wholesome story in MCM as far as I can tell. From the team friendship, the teamwork, the family in the country, the others teams helping and the drivers on the track. It was heartwarming and a continuous reminding that humanity is still not loosing its values.
There aren’t really retail hardware/tool shops like in Aus/US/Europe in south east Asia. Hardware shops are just the basics. You need to look for wholesalers/industrial suppliers who will stock proper tools, and most will do cash sales from their showrooms. Sometimes you need hunt for industry specific suppliers rather than just ‘tools’, so look for marine or electronic tool suppliers if you want a variety of quality hand tools. Ryobi will be thin on the ground as it is consumer focussed. Milwaukee is more common. Makita, of course. But the most common is Bosch Professional, which has factories in Malaysia, so there is a lot of product around. I got mine from a shophouse with no display shelving, but boxes of almost every tool they make stacked to the ceiling. Once you get an eye for what you are looking for, you will find clusters of shops in certain parts of the city, with everything you need. Where there are ships, there are tools.
definitely my favorite special you guys have made. pulling on the heart strings at times and it's super relatable because of how your story gets told. great work!
I cannot wait for MCM to go do more events. Endurance Racing is an addiction, you can stay away for only so long before you have to dip your toes back in for another one. Looking forward to the next crazy adventure, whatever and wherever it may be.
I would love to see them come by the USA again sometime and check out the Lemons events. I think they'd love the vibe - the slowest class gets the best prizes!
Just awesome! The first "movie" was suspenseful and great to watch, this behind the scene thing I was laughing, crying, laughing and yes crying a bit... just awesome!
To Ebony, I knew you as that little kid in Bendigo in Cliff's shed and you're right absolute nuts. Well done from Brenton. Oh n loved the mention of HPR those are great memory days.
Stacey grew up. She punched through so many tears and fears... While everyone took away an awesome time, i sense that SHE took away more than anyone else. May your life take of with wheelspin, Lady! Yes. You. Can!
love it. find a race series you can lock into and do a bunch more episodes of this crew (and any others who join in). so good. living your best life, and we love it. TBF NZ would be epic to do a grassroots kei series, we get them all here.
I’m not an experienced driver, but from what I’ve been told, the key to success in these types of small cars is their ability to hold speed through the corners of the race track whereas bigger, heavier cars slow down more than them, but usually the smaller cars get passed on to back straightaways until they overtake the same car that blew by them again in the corner.
All your features and the the entire channel is about matrs coming together over a common theme of cars, many of them being little nugs. This takes the idea to the next level. Big bunch of mates head overseas to wrench a car with no tools, and half a chance of making it over the line. That mateship and perseverance gets you through. Bloody love it. Keep it up legends!
The thumb up button supports independently made stories for people who love cars, so hit it like it's boost. Love the show? hit share and tell your mates why.
ok I will
Hit it like the page up button on a Haltec! 😂
Been watching since episode 2 mate used to rip videos to my blackberry and watch them over and over and over, thanks for the years of entertainment ❤
Bad obsession did a similar thing with building a race car...similar to the k car but it was a race series... When's the Collab where you both build race cars and enter an event together lol
Well done all.
To be clear, the extra license was for Motorsports Association Malaysia (MAM) not K Car Global. Why it had to be cash only we aren’t entirely sure.
It's motor racing in Asia... if there isn't a payoff or bribe at some point, is it really a race? 🤣

Dave's First response on if he actually likes cars is epic and so true
Yes right after his intro at 8:01. Sounds like he needs a “Cars are Pain ❤” shirt from Donut Media.
Spoken like a true auto electrician
@@firefueledI'm an auto elec and his response was the most relatable thing I have ever heard. Cars suck, but can't get enough of them somehow.
To be fair, it would be very difficult to have your living and your hobby come together. I wouldn't do my job for fun at home too. So if he actually maintains cars as a hobby, he actually really ❤ cars.

I agree this was the best I’ve watched and I have been here since day 1

Amazing video, honestly I didnt think I was going to watch more than 10mins but I ended up watching the entire thing. 57:21 Thats how it should be. Your fellow competitors and mechanics offering their skills and knowledge to help out like that, touches the heart
Nice to meet you, my name is SALTO Racing.
The bib is 456
We were running the same race as you.
God this should have like 12 million views, great work
Each and everyone of not only your team but everyone from the other teams deserve a huge round of applause. The amount of camaraderie and support is incredible. Such an amazing experience to be part of, thank you for sharing this with us.
You guys have to do this again. One of the best stories on the channel.
This is probably the most wholesome story in MCM as far as I can tell. From the team friendship, the teamwork, the family in the country, the others teams helping and the drivers on the track. It was heartwarming and a continuous reminding that humanity is still not loosing its values.
I love the thumbnail of everyone involved! Glad you guys used it!
Thank you guys! Loved the film and this behind the scenes is amazing, its so great to be able to hear all team members perspectives of the event.
Such an awesome experience and so glad you had a solid team that were keen to join in!
49:30 That was absolutely adorable!
Do a yearly race. We all love it. You know we do, you know you do. This is the absolute best thing. I am proud of y'all.
definitely my favorite special you guys have made. pulling on the heart strings at times and it's super relatable because of how your story gets told. great work!
This BTS video was as good as the main film. Love how everyone involved put their all into it.
Another beautiful, inspriing, well-spirited MCM doc and bless you all for giving it to us in true 2160 4K. You all are gorgeous--inside and out.
Netflix wouldn't make it better, what a great show and adventure!
Lady with the pink hair, freaking awesome hair!!! Piiink!! Really nice documentary yall made! Such an emotional ride 💯% ❤
Just awesome! The first "movie" was suspenseful and great to watch, this behind the scene thing I was laughing, crying, laughing and yes crying a bit... just awesome!
This was amazing. Thank you. You are all more inspirational than you could ever know!
Mcm that was great. Seriously these movies keep getting better and better. Thank you
To Ebony, I knew you as that little kid in Bendigo in Cliff's shed and you're right absolute nuts. Well done from Brenton. Oh n loved the mention of HPR those are great memory days.
Stacey grew up. She punched through so many tears and fears...
While everyone took away an awesome time, i sense that SHE took away more than anyone else.
May your life take of with wheelspin, Lady!
Yes. You. Can!
I have had arc eye, and I can not fathom how that lad is welding like that for a living. Great film lads.
Dave looks like a guy that you give him a problem and he just solves it no matter nothing, time, possibility, he is a solid mate.
58:49 That dude who helped even got his arm bleeding in the process. mad props to everyone.
Thanks for all the amazing stories! I love the unique way these cars are raced and that you were the first Aussie team to race them 👍
The Christmas special was amazing but I was surprised to find this equally amazing. I would say that you can't watch one without watching both.
love it. find a race series you can lock into and do a bunch more episodes of this crew (and any others who join in). so good. living your best life, and we love it.
Awesome to see behind the scenes. Thanks so much.
Loved Racing Midnight and I'm Loving the behind the scenes
I enjoyed this as much as the main video. So nice to interview everyone and see it from their point of view
Congrats to all the people who made this happen!
