The purpose of this video is to show you that there is plenty of choice in the all inclusive package. We’re not in anyway telling anyone not to pay extra for the premium package. As far as the comment ‘not much difference’ this video is not a comparison of the branded drinks. It is merely me just saying you have wines, vodka, whiskey, beer, cocktails etc in both basic and premium. The types of drinks available in both packages are the same. The brands are different which we fully understand.
I know it’s only a figure of speech saying it’s free but it’s not really free as we have already paid for it in the price of the cruise. But it is much better than having to buy a drinks package . Thanks for the useful information.
Thank you. I like premium vodka and whisky so have opted for the premium package for next year. It's actually very well worth it when you see the premium brands on offer.
They really have a brilliantly structured drinks offering. It is a pity Marella have never reviewed their internet wifi offering which is terrible value for money and relies on you "logging out" to avoid sucking up all your data. Why don't they offer an unlimited "social media" package (like Costa). They would get many more takers 💶. Also, high time to install Starlink like RCI are doing.
Thanks for your informative post. The only cruise I've done so far was a fortnight on the Discovery in the Caribbean 2 years ago. We elected for the all-inclusive package, which was basically everything you've described. Personally, with what was on offer, I didn't feel the need to upgrade to a premium package. The drinks available on the standard package are all branded. They're not cheap 'Pablo Fandango' knocked off cheap copies distilled in an industrial unit in downtown Madrid. We're off on another Tui cruise very soon. The standard package is good enough for us (and I drink premium spirits at home). Thanks.
Hi there, thanks for your video, very helpful. Probably a stupid question.... If you order a vodka and coke, do you have to pay for the coke if you're not on the premium package? New to cruises 😆😆
I would use Marella Cruises in the future for the Caribbean. Cruised with them twice under their previous guise. However as a single traveller they are not making their package that attractive. Their web site states that compulsory masks outside of your cabin unless eating and social distancing still enforced and there is one single social distanced singles event. In the dining room there is now no chance to socialise with others at the end of the day. The whole point of cruising for singles is to meet new people as it adds to the experience. Given that other cruise lines have relaxed the mask rule and seem to make it a recommendation rather than a must then Marella are not making their product attractive especially as I can go to somewhere like Greece where none of these rules would apply. Not going to pay a lot of money for what could be a miserable trip which is a pity as I like the sound of their product. Looks like it might be Norwegian if I go cruising in future. Similar product but a less heavy covid policy.

Are you able to tell me how much it costs to upgrade to the premium package from the standard package?
£10 per person per day

Chris Jones thanks for watching. Glad you found it helpful. The coke is included in the basic package so you won’t have to pay 👍🏻
@@CharlotteRKO1 thanks for your reply, appreciate it

Hi, thanks for the information. Really useful.
Can you tell me about the Captain Morgan Rum?
Is it the dark rum or the spiced rum?
TIA
Geoff
I wish they would do Aperol Spritz wouldn't mind paying a bit for it but just can't get it on Marella ships.
Good video 👍
