Thank you so much for such a comprehensive guide :D We just booked and it was so nice to see because the 2 pics on the TUI website didn't show a whole lot!
Thanks for showing us around - I do like Marella cabins! Even my insides felt like home and plenty enough space too. Nice to have loungers on the balcony too :)
Who else is watching you tube cruise vlogs before cruises start again. Last year it looked like the end of cruising with all the ships dotted around the English Channel coastline all empty and redundant. There were eight ships off the Isle of Wight at one point that I saw.
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I was really feeling for the cruise industry for the last year, mostly because of the crew around the world who absolutely rely on us cruising for their home economies.
Totally agree it has been a horrendous time for them. Hoping there is some light at the end of this very long tunnel and they can all get back to doing what they do best! 😀
Discovery is a great ship and my other half and I are booked on a relocation from Majorca to Barbados with lots of island stops on the way in October. We've done an outside cabin on this ship in Greece for a week, and that was just perfect. We're now doing an inside for this cruise but we plan to be on deck or on the beach enroute. Fingers crossed 🤞
Hoping by October cruising will be fully back! Discovery is one of our favourite ships too and an inside cabin sounds sensible for a transatlantic. What a great experience that will be! We haven't done a transatlantic yet but it definitely is on our to do list! 😀
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel our experience was just the best, a warm Madeira in the middle of January then 5 days of warming weather to Barbados and on to Panama. That was just before the pandemic last year and it felt like those moments could be gone. I think the British Isles cruises is such a great way to restart the industry.
We are booked in a Jnr Suite for the December relocation Cruise from Malaga to Barbados. Have been on the Dream twice before. Looking forward to see what Discovery is like.
Thank you so much for this video 😊 my husband and I are looking forward to our Marella crusie trip in Jan 2024 🙌🏼 Just want to ask a might be silly question…is there an iron for clothes provided in the room just like hotels? Thank you 😅

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks For the great guide, It brought back happy fantastic memories when we were on her, in a deluxe balcony cabin, deck 7..
Your welcome! Doing this video bought back some fabulous memories for us too!

Yes they are a good size, we have never been disappointed!
Brilliant video, this was really useful for me choosing my cabin thankyou!
Your welcome! Glad you found it useful 😀
Thank you, im on this ship in nov/dec, these vids have been a lot of help for my first cruise. :)
Oh that's good to hear! If you need any more information then just let us know!
Wonderful video where does the luggage go especially with the smaller cabins like the balcony delux?
Thanks! Often there is space under the bed 😀
Great guide, I was hoping to see a guest pop out of the bathroom having not vacated their cabin and you in full tour mode 😂
Lol now that would of been amusing! 🤣🤣🤣

Lots of people are now that cruising is starting again in the UK on May 20th. 😀

Slow down with the camerz making me giddy ❤
Lol sorry!
Very helpful video, we are sailing on this ship in April. I think it's just been reberished?
No problem. Yes in 2022, hope to get back on board one day!
love your videos
Thank you! ☺️
The cabins are very nice.🐸
They are all a decent size and have good facilities which is great. Marella Discovery is a lovely cruise ship! 😀

@@jonascreed7825 Sounds fabulous!

Oh if you liked Dream, sure you will love Discovery!
Does sofa bed pulled out become a double please
It will show you on the deck plan which cabins sleep more than two, so do check that out.
Great video! I'm planning to book a junior suite. Was it noisy with the late night music on the pool deck and the gym above? Thank you
Ours was OK as it was just below Snack Shake so worth checking the deck plans.
Brilliant
Thank you! 😀
Are there USB charging points anywhere in the standard balcony cabins? Thanks for the video
There wasn't when we did this cabin tour however on Discovery 2 we had them in an inside cabin so wonder if they may be installing them?!

No problem. You can't take an iron, but they do have laundry rooms which have irons. 😀
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Good to know 🙌🏼 Thanks again! 😊
Welcome to New Zealand 🇳🇿
Hopefully one day! 😀
Can the beds split to become a twin in the junior suites
Normally they can, we are staying in a junior suite on Saturday so will update this answer if it’s a no
I don’t think they give all cabins toiletries now
We had shower gel and soap in our cabin on the Discovery 2 on the Electric Sunsets Cruise.
Magnifiques 😍
Thanks so much!
Have you ever managed to get a free upgrade from an outside cabin to a balcony cabin if it's a special occasion?
No we haven't but some have!
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravelthanks ,worth a try then 😊
Yes happens sometimes but don't rely on it!
Can you hire sun bed towels on ship
Towels are provided free of charge 😃
Do ya have hair dryer in inside cabin
There are normally hairdryers in all of the cabins!
I couldn't cope with an inside cabin. Too claustrophobic.🙄
Definitely not for everyone!
