Love this format where you talk us through your thought process and why you chose what you did as well as the second options if you weren’t happy with the first.
@@AlyssaBeltempo it’s fun watching you build the outfit. I posted my outfit of the day on Instagram just a few minutes ago.....Binkie21150 on instagram
On the second look: I was surprised by the difference between the two sweaters. To accomplish ’the look’ the more fitted sweater really mattered. So great to see how you knew it would change the vibe!
As you asked if this format is good of " putting the look together" ?: yes it is helpful as it gives even a better picture of how each element as a build up makes the whole look complete. It's a motivation to build on an outfit completely and not just judge by 1or 2 elements and then give up half way by telling self that it doesn't work . Thanks :)
Hi Alyssa, I read through all the comments and so often a reference to inspiration is made. You have such talent, the fact you inspire so many to shop their own closet with such enthusiasm and joy is just incredible. Love your videos and yessss you inspire me too! Have a fabulous week 😌😋 💙
I have been a part of every Shop Your Closet event snd they are AMAZING! Alyssa provides the look beforehand so YOU can try to replicate it of you want. SO much fun and I learn so much.
Love this format so much. As far as looks...1. The black tank untucked worked better for me. 2. The bright red sweater & striped blouse definitely "won" in the Beckham look. 3. You nailed the jean jacket/midi skirt look for sure! Honestly loved all 3.
Love the way you go step by step to show us how to use what we have to substitute . You are such an inspiration to me. Love this. Your amazing. Thank you❤
I liked this video because it basically encourages us to capture the spirit of outfits and looks we love even if we cannot recreate the specific elements of a look that are what initially draws us to love it. I’m embarking on a no buy for 2022 so this is all very encouraging for me.
Grazie mille for advocating slow fashion and learning to love having enough. Your videos are such a refreshing antidote to "unboxing" content. Keep up the good work!
This is a really fun and educational format - it's helpful to see you walk through the specific points of an outfit beyond just the colors or specific items to find similarities between the image and your own wardrobe. Thank you!
AS ALWAYS!!! You nailed every look!!! Looks 2,3,1 were the order of my "liking." Thank you for doing 2 in the VB looks. I LOVED them both!!!! I often wear a fitted ligh weight sweater with a button up beneath, buttoned to the top button. I just love the structured polish it gives! Alyssa you are so good at what you do!!! Thank you!!!
I love this video! I really enjoy when you walk us through your thought processes and explain “why” you choose the items from your closet options. Thanks!
I love the idea of shopping our own closets, rather than engaging in consumerism and always chasing after what we don't have, which as you pointed out, isn't good for us or the planet. We don't usually consider the negative impact of throwing away usable items and increasing our landfills, or the clothing manufacturing process which puts gas, liquid and solid pollutants and by-product waste into the environment. I really like this format of seeing your thought process, from looking at pictures and picking out key style elements to choosing outfits and backups from your closet. In all the style magazine articles and videos I have ever seen over the yeats, this is the first time I have seen the thought process of identifying different style elements and picking out similar outfits. It was a very helpful video. Thank you and have a great summer!
I'm in my 60's and new to your channel. I love the way you make me think through style, fashion. Like a great friend and confidant, you help me find fresh ways to style what I have, and keep me from going overboard with purchasing items I really don't need. Thank you dear one, for all the hard work and thought you put into your videos. God bless you.
Yes more please! I love this format of showing us how you determine how to create the looks/finishing touches "in real time" so to speak. Love hearing the thought processes - it helps so much!
Love how you adapted all these looks to your style, yet keeping the essential mood, feel of the original look. So helpful. I have been way more deliberate and more conscious while shopping since I came across your channel way back when you started it. I am still a maximalist but with way more restrain and have a closet full of things I love to repeat wear. The styling challenge is to rewear the same things in as many, many different ways as I can. Where I am most a maximalist is in accessories and shoes which makes it easy. Merci chère Alyssa! Gros bisous!
Hi Jeannette! YES! I think you can have a maximalist style and still make conscious decisions as you said:) I am so grateful you still enjoy the channel! I also have a lot of shoes they make a big difference in creating lots of looks! Have a wonderful week Jeannette! Bisous! xx
The live shop your closet events are so fun, great community and a how to style learning experience. I have been part of two events and looking forward o the next.
Loved this! You really nailed outfit 2 and 3. I also appreciate that you did two different looks for outfit number 2. I still loved your outfit number 1 as it shows we can take inspiration even if we lack the items! Shopping my own closet and thanks for the help!
I love how you recreated the first two outfits to fit your style. I personally think you giving us a second option in the first two outfits shows how we can truly recreate outfits but feel comfortable. That third outfit is my favorite! It was so feminine and flirty.
Alyssa I am a big fan of yours. I use your styling tips in my real life and since then my mom appreciates my dress sense😁🤝. Thanks for making so wonderful videos. Love from India
I like your version of the looks better than the originals. And I loved hearing your thought process while picking out the pieces. You make shopping from your closet look so easy! I’ve definitely stepped up my game when getting dressed because of you. Thanks so much!
I really enjoy this format as you walk us through this process start to finish. For many years I gravitated towards boho style and acquired loads of very colorful, mostly busy pattern pieces. Now at 47 all of the sudden I feel as if my closet is screaming at me every time I open it. So I’m on a new quest towards softer look. And following your advice I give myself time with new pieces selection. But yet I feel as all my looks are very safe and predictable. So glad I have found you Alyssa and this wonderful community here. I’m hoping to learn to be more .. well as you would say “ classic with a twist”! Thank you for all your priceless lessons! And btw. Your Gucci poppy scarf is absolutely beautiful!
Also just think these videos are such fun. I love the way you evaluate the elements of style and walk us through your process. It has helped me define my own style and love working with my wardrobe in a way I never did before.
I have to admit that Victoria Beckham's outfit and style overall definitely works well on you, Alyssa. I think the second variation of the look is my favorite, but of course, you did well with the others also! 😊❤
Your elegance comes from your blood 🥰 I love all the recreated looks you made, especially two Victory Beckham inspired outfits . I would definitely turn my head if I saw you on the the street in that look
I love all your looks from your closet. You give them an elegant elevated look. I love the red sweater and striped shirt in Look 2. Stunning with your tan pants! Thanks for thinking of us going into winter. I'm in Australia. This look is very reminiscent of what I used to wear as a teenager in the mid 1970s. Such a fab look! 💜🙏
I agree with a lot of people - love watching you build the outfit! Also would love to know more about your custom suit and what you were looking for. I would love to have one myself. The fit is incredible!
I seriously loved all three but I especially learned from how you did look two with two sweater and top options. This was very instructive! Going back to take a couple of screen shots to remember the looks!
I love this video. I’ve been shopping my closet and it has been so much fun. I add a few accessories. Thanks for keeping it real. We don’t need as much as we think. Good job.
Loved this video Alyssa. My favourite was the Victoria Beckham outfit. Nailed it. Also loved the Plan B. I love seeing how you can pick an outfit and then make several more outfits by tweaking it and changing it up. More please. I would love to see how you might take one outfit inspo and change it up for all four seasons and from day to night. 😀
Thanks to watching some of your videos, I went out of my comfort zone and when thrifting the other day I picked up an off-white designer silky collared button up - in one fell swoop I completely elevated my wardrobe. Couldn't believe it. Not my color or style, yet I discovered I can wear it over tanks and it adds a pulled together and almost expensive look to what before was sort of well...sloppy, or today I popped it under a black oversized scoop neck tee. I never could figure out how to wear that tee, it looked blocky and blah, but the collar shirt under (it's very light and sheer so still fairly comfortable in summer) completely turned into something I could wear out to coffee with capri jeans and feel pulled together without being over the top. I also really appreciate when you note not everyone wants to show off their waist or "curves." No matter my size, all my life, I gravitated towards the layered everything hanging down straight look - you've offered several tips I can incorporate to help take that silhouette out of frumpy (what's cute at 20 is bag lady at 50 sadly!) to intentional and artsy. Thanks for your videos :-)
This was wonderful! I always love shopping your closet, it is so inspiring. I've been able to be more creative with what I have in my closet because of these videos! 🙏♥️
YES! Love this format! Breaking down the elements, selecting from your closet as you go and modifying where needed. I have a better understanding of the process with this sequence. Perhaps because I am more of a visual learner, this works better for me? Please do this again! THANKS! :-)
This is a great idea, one which I have tried in my own closet. The analysis of the inspiration outfit was very informative. I could see more clearly the elements of each style. This is actually very satisfying without frivolous spending or wasteful accumulating.
What a lesson in fashion!I am so inspired to do this it seems like so much fun and and an excellent way to breath new life into my closet, thanks so much🇿🇦
Love the new format. It really helps us hone into how you re create an outfit. Outfit inspiration is just that m inspiration. I really like how you encourage not copying the outfits but capturing the spirit of each combination. Lots of fun 🤩
You always do such an amazing job with these videos! I really like the Mindy Kaling one - even though you didn't have the exact same pieces as her, I think the finished product worked better with your style while taking inspiration from her outfit.
Chow Alyssa i so love the fashion inspiration Victoria Beckham creates and i believe you too, could you please do more of her style. Great video👏 I also never thought of wearing the last look. I want try that look. Yeah
Love this format where you talk us through your thought process and why you chose what you did as well as the second options if you weren’t happy with the first.

Great! Glad you like this format! xx

I agree, the better fitted sweater did make a difference

Yessssss
Love how you explain why you chose each thing
The first look came out really nice. Like it better untucked and love the shoes you put with it.
So glad you liked it Catherine thank you for watching! xx

👍👍 on the format! Loved the Victoria Beckham look! 😍
Love it 😍 - Love it 🥰 - Love it! ❤️
Love the victoria bechem look best however all were inspirational. Happy sunday
I really like this format. With the Mindy Kaling look you could have added a patterned belt maybe to incorporate that element.
Im' so glad you like this format Lisa! Great idea with the belt to add some print!
