i appreciate you mentioning wanting to slow down! I sometimes get exhausted watching booktubers read like 10 books in a week because it feels they're reading because they have to and not because they want to and it takes the fun out of it for me. but great video! I've been wanting to get into more thrillers and needed some recs!! :))

If you want an unpredictable book you should read "the 7½ deaths of evelyn hardcastle". I know a lot of people that read it but none of them figured it out. It's one of my favs, really reccomend

The thing with thrillers/mysteries for me is, I actually love figuring it out, as long as it’s not like glaringly obvious. It just makes me feel smart? I don’t know, but I usually love figuring out who the killer is or something so it was interesting for me to see you not enjoy that and see from a different perspective!
I loved the Silent patient! it was my favorite book of 2021, but the Maidens was a little disapointing for me. i was a little weirded out.
girl i somehow managed to have a soul tearing year and i was in a book slump for ELEVEN MONTHS. i just got out of it so yay i guess

I absolutely loved The Maidens… did not see that ending coming. I was totally blown away. Great book…. Also loved The Silent Patient.

Currently reading the guest list and it is putting me into a reading slump. You summed it up perfectly though, she makes you want to know what is happening but nothing is happening. I felt the same when reading the Paris apartment
i love one of us is lying, it is one of the first books i READ, not listened to, read after high school and for fun. i have never been a reader/audio book person, i only started sept 2021, got in a slump nov 2021-feb 2022 (took me that long to listen to 1 book). i love reading about drama. one of us is lying is knives out meets pretty little liars meets gossip girl meets breakfast club and love all. wish more people read it
"i wish more people read it" huh? this book is super famous. most booktuber and booktokers just read romance tho so ofc they're not gonna talk about it but a lot of people read one of us is lying

I read Rock Paper Scissors a few months ago and I can RELATE!!! That book was just too good and I’ve been struggling to find one as good but if you like courtroom drama, I’d recommend thirteen by Steve Cavanagh!

Daisy Darker was my Book of the Month pick in August and I was obsessed with it, I read it all in a day and couldn't put it down! I'm already planning on getting Rock, Paper, Scissors as one of my add-ons in October based on your recommendation! Love the reading vlogs though and hearing your recs 💖

Definitely try to find sometimes I lie! I loved Rock Paper Scissors so much and sometimes I lie was another one with such a wild plot twist and it really Kees your interested throughout the story!

my favorite thriller is the 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I hate saying this about books, but I'm gonna cus I wanna convince you to read it lol. it has a crazy twist that even someone like me, who guesses 90% of plot twists, was surprised. HIGHLY recommend it, it's become one of my favorite books!!!

Lol 😂 I always try and figure how a thriller will end.....I'm always wrong 🤣 I just finished The Housemaid by Freida McFadden and LOVED it. I finished it in less than a day! I would highly recommend!!
