I really loved Magnolia Parks!!! You should definitely check out some podcast episodes the author is on because the way she explains the story it just makes so much sense and it makes you feel even more for the characters and the choices they make!!!!

I watching this awhile after it came out, but from the moment Sara said that her next book was Magnolia Parks, I was like, “oh, this is the end.”
I completely understand what you were going through. The excitement got me totally . I reminded of the only book I've given five stars ever was Twilight. And then I was fourteen and rooted for them and everything. But going back I know how toxic it is. Yet the feeling it gave me and even though I don't agree with them anymore ; it gives me this absolute satisfaction. That feeling was just worth it, I felt it so bad. I never once regretted buying it.

Do you think it’s better to read them in order. I read daisy haites and really didn’t like it but then again 8 haven’t read the other books in the series. It just read a bit too much like fan fiction for me but 8 can see why people really enjoy it.

omg i almost cried when you were crying reading bright side, reliving those last 100 pages. gus is my baby. i love him so much. theres a 2nd book that is about him and picks up where bright side left off. im going to be reading it in February and cant wait! the best way i could describe reading the magnolia parks books would be that they gave me the same feelings are addicted/calloway but like 10x more and can we talk about the book covers and the significance of them after reading each book they have such meaning. plus its a debut novel i'd read whatever this author puts out!

anyways i adore the magnolia parks series mainly the magnolia storyline and it makes me so annoyed when people say the characters are surface level and the writing is bad like HOW. the writing is incredible like it’s beautiful but not too much descriptions.
also literally EVERYTHING about why they are so codependent and shallow and whatnot is explained in magnolia parks the long way home and it gave me so much closure (not the ending just abt the characters lmao). imo the characters are written really really well.

i have just recently started magnolia and i agree! the book is great when you go in the with mindset of just enjoying a fictional story about rich kids and their lives, not necessarily rooting for a couple to get together or expecting a lovey dovey story. the book is just pure entertainment. like i obviously don't agree with a lot of the things the characters do, but it's still just entertaining to read. i can however totally get that this book isn't going to be for everybody.

I legit finished my first Freida thriller yesterday, The Housemaid. I knew it was popular and wanted to see why and omg I legit binge read it in one day yesterday. I couldnt do anything until I finished! Her writting just hooks you in, she is such a smart author. As you said, it was night and I COULD feel the spooky unsettling atmosphere in the books. Never lie or The locked door were definitely high on my list cause I am about to go on a big binge with her books lmaoo so I am really thankful for your opinion on the books, it seems like a fun quick read.
honestly i my ratings change so frequently that i don’t even trust my 5 stars sometimes… but bright side is one of my favourite books and i only ever cried more reading underneath the sycamore tree because that book hurt me
