Thanks Mandy! I enjoy your videos. My problem since I started pod is my views. I hardly ever get views like 1 or 2 a day and sometimes 0. I turned on ads for a little bit and then I got a couple of sales, but I don’t want to pay for ads right now. I’ve even copied some key words and titles on people’s listings that showed up on page one and still nothing. Now I didn’t copy word from word. I would just copy a couple of phrases between about 3 listings. struggle is real on trying to get views.
I think sometimes the issue, too, is that these listings that are showing up on page one already have traction and good listing quality scores. So even when we emulate their key words theirs show up because of this... and for newer sellers we are still working on getting that traction;.

Mandy, again Thank you so much for helping us newbies with our Etsy Journey ❤. Can you please make a video on creating a private listing on Etsy? I use Printify, I brainstormed and couldn't find a step-by-step video, I rejected a customer because she asked me to change my design title to a specific niche. Blessings!

I would REALLY appreciate your advice! I’m opening a shop and I’m terrified to do it wrong from the start. I have a good niche but it’s broad, hobbies as an example. For my first 20 listings should I pick one or two hobbies like sewing and tennis and ‘specialize’ or should I make a few designs for several different hobbies to cast a wider net? Secondly, I’m really creative but most advice is basically to copy with a twist. I’d rather make completely unique designs - but now I’m afraid to be too different at first. I’ve become paralyzed by indecision!

I have a question. When I share my designs in niche specific social media groups I get a lot of interest and sales but I don’t seem to get noticed much directly on Etsy for the same designs. It’s a very saturated niche so that’s probably why. I’m just wondering if driving traffic to those designs with social media is detrimental to Etsy algorithm showing my designs in Etsy search? Or is it okay to keep driving from Fbook groups to get Etsy sales and eventually the algorithm will do its magic and place me higher up?

One big thing that will affect sales is localization and shipping times. I am in Canada, so not expecting US customers to see my listings. I may have to drive my own traffic.
It's not quite accurate. 90% of the sales of my birthday sweatshirts are in Europe, not the USA (where I am located). The shipping time for these purchases is 20 days with a high shipping cost.
I am also in Canada and my shop is visible to US and Canada. Go to your delivery settings and include US
@@elebijusola5736 This is great to hear. Thank you for letting me know. Josh Silverman says localization and fast shipping to match up with the buyer/seller location is one of the things they are concentrating on. So it will affect even US sellers too from the sounds of it.
How much do you charge for audits, I am new and ready to quite I am getting clicks doing the suggestions but I am only on for one month and I have 150 items.

Are you regularly adding new listings to fill out your shop? And if so, are they in either niches that are really small (or really big)?
New listings ultimately get a little boost every time you add one and it improves your chances of getting additional views. Ultimately you need to have enough quality listings out there (based on research for your ideal buyers, of course) so that you have enough data to work with and then make decisions on. @@studiomdesignscoMy niches are in the middle range like I do some auntie stuff and I’ve tried to niche down from that to put specific phrases. Maybe I just don’t know how to sub niche. I guess I feel like not many people will search for sub-niches. I’ll check the video out and thanks!! 😊
@@studiomdesignsco appreciate the reply back. I just started doing 5 listings a day. I started being consistent around May 2021 and just about one listing a day. Some of them expired and I have now 105 active listings. Overall active and inactive around 300. I have 18 sales, but most from friends and family.
