I've been watching you guys since I first started college 5 years ago, and now I've gotten my home gym fixed up, this video makes me excited to perform these exercises. Literally one of the best channels on TH-cam and hoping for many more.
I died laughing at that Guillotine Press. 😂 Thought he was serious for a second there. Love you Buff Dudes! Just finished your Bulking Plan 💪 Now I'm a BUFF DUDE! #yatSffuB
Handstand push-ups, great for posture, shoulder stabilization, mind muscle connections, and overall strength. Front levers, great lat and ab developer, also good for straight arm and leg strength.
Weirwood Ghost although just FYI it has been demonstrated (by calisthenics movements if I recall correctly, he should have a video about that) that is not humanly possible to do a 1AHSPU.
@@aenima___7524 It's very likely my tongue was wedged hard cheek-side as I posted that contribution. In my head it stands out as one of the most halarious satirical pokes at gym culture Buff Dudes did. I still lmao at that vid from far ancient buff times 😂🤣🤣🤸♀️🤸♂️❤
been watching this channel since i was freshman in highschool glad to say i’ve mad a lot of progress and i have grown bc of this channel🙏🏾💯. i picked up my first pair of weights and never stopped, and now i’m a senior thank you for the best 4 years of my life~shawn💪🏾
Since I don't have access to a real gym and can only use what I have at home or at my apartment complex's gym, I mostly do calisthenics based exercises. I do several variations of push-ups including this one where I place some dumbbells vertically near a bench/bed/couch/coffee table and then place my hands on them, then perch my feet up on the couch/bench/bed/coffee table and do push ups that way. It REALLY helps with core, shoulder, tricep, chest, leg, and back strength and takes incredible control, precision, and coordination to not either collapse or have the dumbbells collapse under you. I don't know if this exercise has already been invented or has a name already, but I don't know what to call it. I also like to do what I call "leap frog push ups" where you get into the position like you're playing leap frog, spring out and catch yourself, do a push-up, then push off with your legs and spring them forward back into the starting position. And I'll usually do those across the room and back. I don't know if this helps any or if they're good enough to include, but you're welcome to feature these exercises in your next video if you like:D
Awesome!! You and Brian Alshrue from Neversate love the z press. They are hard but such a great core builder. I do them all the time. 👍🏻. Thanks Buff Dudes, you never disappoint.
Love that you guys included the Z Press in this. My powerlifting coach added this in a couple months ago. This will show any deficiencies in core, upper back, or shoulder strength. For a more challenging version out the bar on pins just below the chin. Start the lift from there exploding up into the press. Let the bar come to a complete stop before exploding again. Really helps develop shoulder strength and power.
@@leem3255 blow out your delts? No. Blow out your rotator cuff due to excessive overload on a generally overlooked muscle group while simultaneously being in an even more internally rotated position than a normal bench press? Yea that's a ticking bomb that will fuck your shit up
That is why _you use a _*_Power Rack_* during any exercises where you hold the barbell above your body. All this talk that "power racks are for pussies" is bullshit.
An unconventional I quite enjoy using is the Meadow Row. It's done with a landmine bracket, and performed by standing to one side of the loaded barbell, bending forward with back straight, gripping the end of the bar with the closest hand and pulling it towards your upper chest. I like using it as the landmine bracket helps eliminate some of the wobble that can sneak in doing a bent over row, and the guiding arc helps bring my arm out a bit wider for the top of the movement. Hope you try it out and see if it earns the B.U.F.F seal of approval!
Offspring Press - I get each one of my kids to hold onto each side of my Barbell, then i do a standard Bench press with each kid holding on either side. First kids feet to touch the floor gets no pocket money that week. Also ive been purposely fattening them up with ice cream - for progressive overload.
I was about to say is this guy crazy I would never recommend the guillotine press it messed my rotator cuff too much weight but Hudson didn't disappoint great vid
Pin squats are awesome. Couple cues that helped me get a super-quad burn while doing them: remember not to relax your body when the bar is on the pins and always try to lightly touch the bar to the pins, no slamming!
Appreciate the video Buffdudes. Maybe y'all can make a trailer for your upcoming superhero workout plan/book. That'll be cool. Can't wait to have new workout plan. Finishing up your bulking plan.💪
These exercises are not only great substitutions for certain standard compound exercises, but also have advantages for people who may have certain disabilities and mobility problems. I have had patients at my hospital that use several of these exercises to help build muscles back to their norm, or as great exercises if they have mobility problems!
Only recently found this channel; overall, loving it! You guys should do a video on muscle soreness. I can only imagine you have some tips and tricks on how to get over it quicker, etc. You know, to help people like me that try to go from 0 to buff dude overnight and wake up with instant regret!
Most obscure, and probably the only real full (upper) body, exercise I've ever done has to be The Bent Press. Performed with a barbell, of course. Mostly a core exercise, with insane functional strength benefits. Awesome, but you need a perfectly healthy back to perform it.
Just as I was about to say something about rotor cuffs on the guillotine press you started the rant. my should was twisting popping and grinding just looking at you doing it haha
I love pin squats(I call them Anderson squats), it is easier to squat the bar down for the first rep and when you just don't have anymore pin squats in the tank you can usually get a couple of normal reps.
Would be nice with a video with more examples like the guillotine press. What the exercises would be good for and why it's not worth it (risks and so on). Maybe also a warning scale.
"Go ahead, I'll wait" (He's not gonna wait, is he) *Hudson, waiting* Me: drops on the floor realising I can't even sit without slouching -fuck- this exercise is the best

I think farmer carries are highly underrated & overlooked for their versatility. Do it with heavy kettlebells & thicker handles and it really becomes a challenge.
I'm using back extension bench now. Really good actually copied from an extremely fit Russian girl🙄 For pronated row there's a special bench for it if you want to add to home set up with square padding for your face lol If you feature an exercise try chest assisted bent over row...
Lmao the Z press, I can't even sit myself straight like that let alone lifting from that position. As for the Guillotine Press, to be honest I'm more worried about my shoulders than my neck xD
Why not start at the top with the pin squat? Safer getting under the bar at the start of your set. As long as you hit the pins and release tension then retense before standing up...
“Do you lose control when you enter the hole?”
Yes, but i fail to see how the pin squat helps me with my premature... oh nvm.
I thought it was the deal-breaker, Buff dudes you bastards!

It creates explosiveness ;)

More of these videos, first covering a basic compound, then into variations. Very informative!!
Nobody ever: OHP is sooo easy wish it was harder.
Nobody except Big Z
It's not really hard I don't think you just cant do as much weight. I don't feel like it's a very taxing or difficult exercise though
Love how comical you can make all the vids. Stay buff 💪

KingOfBlades27 why? Will this legit blow out your delts? Because if you drop the bar anyway it’s rolling onto your neck. I wants me a big chest man
