This is my second comment. I absolutely love this van. What I'm going to say has to do with me being a retired NYPD cop. My concern with this rig is that it reeks of money. It's definitely an attention getter and it will draw the attention of people who may not have the best intentions. A concern especially if you're boondocking. I think getting rid of some of the exterior bells and whistles may help. The owner wisely did install security cameras. Okay, I admit it. I'm paranoid.
Outside of the city it's less of a concern, but even then, doing a more "stealthy" exterior is definitely popular. Both ways work for different people and use cases!
In one of their other videos they had someone with a “stealth” van that gave more of a commercial appearance. It was broken into and the owner had to rebuild the interior as a result.
I have a question for the retired officer.... When a person lives in their van full time and travels state to state, Can that person carry a gun for safety across state lines ??? What are the laws and rules for having a gun in your vehicle ?
This is the first van buildout walk through I’ve seen that is friken awesome. Presentation is non salesy. Everything looked good quality and functional.
Yeah, this fan has a lot to offer. That’s why I was having him build me one. Personally, I would’ve done the same layout but with twin beds in the back.
What a beautiful van with so many options, he didn’t try to save money on anything from what I saw. The table and double seat was a good idea, makes the inside feel more comfortable. I agree with the retired police officer about concerns of being broke into, I’d have more cameras and extra security features everywhere if it was mine. Thanks Patrick for finding another professional van builder.
Seriously Awesome build! Did I miss the lithium battery capacity? The only thing I’d change would be reversing the blinds so the night shades are on the bottom, and the screens are at the top. This is because if you’re around people, you want to see out but limit anyone outside to see in.
This van has a 900Ah system but we can do everything from 300Ah to over 1100! Or more, honestly, but that might be a bit overkill. Totally up to you and whoever we're building for.
Ha, no doubt about that. We do have a couple 170 Sprinters getting built right now that *do* have Starlink! We have lots of opinions on internet connectivity and will be releasing a video about it this weekend.
What are the l-tracks for under the cabinets? Wow!! I usually am not too interested in the exterior tour but I was blown away by this one. Love those windows and so much more!

I like this company work, and this van seems to have it all except there was no mention of a water filtration system, the separating toilet does not seem to have an extraction fan and apparently the urine just goes in a bottle rather than in a larger capacity tank. For someone who wants to stay out there for ong stretches of time ,those 2 items would make life easier.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I believe he had some type of external water filtration that can be hooked up prior to adding water inside the coach altogether. That way they don’t contaminate the whole entire water system. As for the toilet after a lot of research that’s what the customer decided they wanted. I believe this style toilet has a charcoal filtration system rather than the fan system, which makes it easier to remove and less maintenance
Thanks! Patrick is correct that we pre-filter water going into the tanks, but we also can install under-sink water filtration. The toilet is one of many options - we like these urine diverting toilets, but can install just about whatever you'd want.
I'm a canadian neurosurgeon who sails for fun and relaxation. This van is nicer and more well appointed than my boat. I've been recently thinking about getting something like this to tour north America and maybe beyond in 3 years when I retire. This is exactly what I'd want. Can you tell me what that customer paid for the build with all the upgrades? Obviously prices will change over time including for the van itself but I'd like a ball park idea. Thanks, Steve
I lived in a van for 2 years. Not as nice as this one but it was nice. But once you want to stop from the traveling it's nice to have something to live in until you get something you want a longer term spot to call home once the traveling fever has left you
This is an absolute BEAUT!!!! So scared to check their prices though 😂 but my goodness this thing is everything! Curious as to where the big battery bank is is all. Great freaking outfit though, dream van for sure. Dude will be set up to be OUT there out there.
I’m getting “ABC Sewer and Drain” decals for my van. Mental deterrent to anyone thinking about breaking in. No easy to sell tools and no one would think your camper said that on the side. Also the “sewer” thing freaks out a lot of people.
Fantastic vanbuild pity i cant find the products you use here in the description the drawer looking system is amazing do you have any more Insights to that? Would love to do this in my vanbuild.
Hi Great van build. What is the second alternator you used to charge the lithium battery bank? I cant fine any that can do that. All I can find to use is battery to battery charger. I am in the UK so not sure if it only availably in the US?

I love this man I love the way it looks, I like the products, but why does every single van build have the bed in the back of the van it gets boring after a while. I want my bed in my l shaped sofa in the front of the van toward the cab. I just can't imagine having half of my van a permanent bed
Does the owner of this van know something we need to know? This van looks like a doomsday or a serious prepper van, except that the cost of the van would be out of their reach, IMO.
Wants to get as far away from people as possible and used a 170? Either he doesn't want to get that far away from people or you guys sold them on a van that's not going to get him as far away from people as he'd like. The van in general is not going to be the best vehicle for getting far away and then you limit his access by giving him something with such a terrible breakover angle?
Everything is a compromise, but this will go a lot further than most, and "further than most" is a great way to get away from people and enjoy the outdoors by yourself (or with a select crew that you bring along!) But yeah, mid-sized truck camper will go deeper.

do you know a company in louisville ky that does van, box or truck camper conversions
Im looking for a winch Ive been told it needs to be a 12000lbs? They gave me a formula of 1.5x vehicle weight minimum does this sound right?
Have you ever built a toilet on a slider that goes into the garage so it isn’t out on the bathroom floor unless you need it?
I believe I reviewed a bill where they had a toilet on a slider. I’m not sure if it came out of the garage or one of the bench seats.
