Today I wanted to show you how to cover your wire shelves in your pantry to make it look a lot more functional and nicer of course!

This is awesome! We’re a military family and this will be our last home we move into and I want to make it look way nicer than it is! (It was built in 1995 and is pretty small for our family of 5 lol). Your video is totally going to help with that🥰

how did you do the door shelves?
This project turned out great! I am planning on doing this, and I don’t have a nail gun. Can I just use a hammer instead? Also, Can you recall how long the nails were that you used?

How did you hide the brackets?
How do you keep from the edge of the wire shelving to be exposed if you’re nailing the front cover to the wood paneling that is behind the front of the shelf?
Hey, I’m confused as to what you are asking. The wire shelf is not being exposed as it is covered by the piece of wood that is in front, is that what you meant? Thank you for watching!!
Did you have to make your shelves an inch wider to accommodate adding the 1x3, to keep the shelf fitting securely against the back of the closet? If measured exactly, how would have no room to nail the 2 pieces together without pulling the panel more to the front to have room to nail.

Can you link wood that you bought from HD?
How much over hang did you give in the measurement for the board to have room to nail into your 1x3 ? I know we’d want to account for the thickness of the bars but did you do any extra ?

Love this idea. Did yours have the plastic shelf holder in the front corners to support the wire shelf? It seems like this may keep the panel from setting down flat. I couldn't see if you had those in the video.
Hey! Thank you for watching. Yes, we have it but it’s at the bottom of the wire shelf so the panel is able to lay flat without any issues.
How are you measuring it? Does it seats on top of corner bracket?
I measured from the left wall to the right wall, so yes the wood is on top of the corner brackets. Thank you for watching!
Hello -what was the width/ height of the wood panelling you were using, I see it is very thin, so I was curious how thick the panels were& about how much weight the shelves can hold
The width and height depends on your shelves, I think you are asking the thickness and that’s .138in per the specs on the website. As far as weight, it hold a lot since the wire shelves are still at the bottom. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

Did you only nail the wood to the panel or if it into the metal
The nail went in from the top of the panel into the piece of wood. Thank you for watching!
Did you add 1” to the depth measurement when you had them cut it?
Because of my measurements only one didn’t get the 1” but all of the others did. Thank you for watching!
What keeps shelf from leaning forward?
The wire rack is attached to the wall. The paneling just lays flat on wire rack shelf, then we attach the piece of 1x3 to it:)

No we did not, so you can remove the covers and leave the wire as is if you wanted to again, thanks for watching
I can’t find wood panelling that was at the price point you mentioned. Maybe I’m typing in the wrong things. Can you like a few as examples?
Home depot has but the prices have gone up. This one was around 34 where I live, i found one for 20 that i didnt like as much but its in a closet covered with baskets and such so i went with the cheaper. Go to the store, i believe online only sells in bulk.
We bought this over a year ago and the prices have gone up. I wasn’t able to locate the one we have online. I would suggest going to Home Depot and seeing what they have. They tend to have a few options. Good luck! Thank you for watching!

What kind of paneling was used? I’m searching but I only see the small/thin paneling that isn’t as wide as yours.
