Could you make a video about the most common mistakes people do with their wigs? (On wearing, taking care of etc). Thanks for all the videos, very informative (:
I know you probably have died by now. You were on here 6 months ago but if you are still alive contact me. What you may be experiencing is self actualization, the opposite from the traditional acceptance of ignorance and entertainment. You are very rare. And I am looking for a suitable person to have a conversation with.
For washing synthetic wigs a quick maintenance way is I use a febreeze and water mix combo in a spray bottle. You get to choose the smell you want and helps for a quick refresh!
Thank you for this series, I just got my very first wig today. And these helped me prepare for it. ^.^ it's a cheap wig but hopefully these will help me keep it in great condition
I messed up washing my Lagoona blue wig >_< I washed it in hot water when it's curly! OOPS! And I also used baby shampoo because it's the most gentle and heard baby shampoo is okay to wash wigs with. And... I brushed it out right after washing it instead of letting it dry overnight. My bad lol
This series is really making me want to start getting wigs. I want to start cosplaying anyways but have been hesitant because I didn't know what brand of wigs to get or how to care for them. So thank you so much.
how do you brush a rhapsody wig? I bought one and wore it for a convention and it's all kinds of tangled now. I want to wash it, but I definitely don't want to make it even knottier. Any tips??
watch her how to brush a wig video! you do the same thing. wig detangler (im pretty sure regular hair detangler works as well), wide tooth comb, and go slow and careful!
watch a movie or tv show while you do it! it'll help pass time and make it seem like a shorter process! or tackle one half in one part of the day and the other later in the day.
You can not die a synthetic wig. Only human...dying a human hair wig can be quite complex depending what needs to be done. I suggest bringing it to a professional like myself who specializes in wigs if you need to color you wig
Danielle Satava I'm a cosplayer and in most cases you need to dye your wig to fit a certain style. I've seen people dye it with alcohol + alcohol ink, water + sharpie and with a couple other methods. In my case it does not have to look natural at all.
Question! So, I purchased 3 different Bella style wigs from Gothic Lolita Wigs at the same time I've had them all for two weeks now The Lavender and Green are both still perfect The Silver one is puffy? I guess is how you could describe it? At the ends and tangly I've worn them all the same amount and I have tried putting the spray conditioner in it that you showed in your "How to Brush a Wig" tutorial but it's still...puffy. The other two (Lavender and Green) are both still perfect! Do you think washing the Silver one will help? Or do you have experience or suggestions for that or why the Silver one is doing this? Thank you so much! These videos are SO SO SO helpful! And...I totally ordered that Rilakkuma top! It is so CUTE! xoxo Roya
Fantastic! Thanks so much for this! Needing to restyle my Ariel and my Princess Peach wigs and needing to get them nice and clean before starting. Appreciated!
I've just found your channel and subbed instantly! Love your personality and your videos are great! Keep up the good work and thank you so much. I feel almost ready to purchase my first wig now 😂😍
Thank you for this! I’m a professional Stiltwalker and I rock it as Uncle Sam. (I’m a Real Beard Uncle Sam!) Anyway, after watching your video and others, I’m gonna try DISTILLED WATER or FILTERED WATER for the washing of my White wig. Our water here has a lot of iron and when we tried using it to wash the side of our mattress, it made it WORSE. So I’ll let you know how it works out. Thanks, girl!
I just want you to know that i start following you when you have upload your video of totoro, it's been a while i think, and im very happy because your youtube chanel is growing a lot and your work is really good, keep doing this i will support you! And sorry for my bad english :)
Thank you Alexa for all your advice ! I love you a lot !! Actually I never washed any of my wigs, because I'm waaay too scared to destroy it @__@ but I'll try to follow every step and hopefully, everthing will be ok .... Greetings from France !!
hey. i'm a cosolayer and i like videos like that. when i ordered my first wig, i noticed, that it look strange, hair wasn't straight, and wig looked not so accurate and good. i think, would be interesting to do a video about ABSOLUTELY new wig. i mean, to show, how you unboxing it, how wig looks, when it comes and how to make it look good, straighten. Well, just about how to make it look normal, when it just arrived. (btw, sorry about my English, i'm Russian)^^
Thank you for this!! I now feel less anxious about ruining my already damaged wig by washing it hahaha. Going to try this out tonight. Thank you, again.
Thank you so so much this helped me a lot My wig started smelling like smoke and the smell of it just smelled horrible so this helps so much I will definitely be using this video to help me with future wig washing 👍🏻♥️
Your videos are really well done, very clear and nice explanation and it's perfect how you show in the video, easy to understand even for us strangers!! Thank you!! :) PS: Are you italian?
Question! Does this also work for clip on ponytails? From untangling a clip on ponytail it has allot of fabric softener in it, it changed the texture of the ponytail. Could this method get it out?
Hi Alexa! Thank you so much for posting these videos! I have pulled out my wig that has been sitting for years in my closet and brushed it out now I am washing it! However, the last time I wore it (it's a pure white long wig) some of the fabric color rubbed off on it :( So parts are red. Any suggestions how to get the red out? Thank you!
Thank you for all these videos! I'm a complete noob with wigs. Right now, I only have one wig ( Short with pigtails) but now I want to get more. I have to get more money though, lol.
Is it okay/possible to use washing up liquid on a wig for washing? I have one that could do with a wash because it sits against my face and the particular cosplay it's for requires me to paint myself blue, for which I use greasepaint (aquacolor doesn't work for me). Shampoo hasn't really got the grease out, but I know washing up liquid is made to get rid of grease -but is it safe for the wigs?
Could you make a video about the most common mistakes people do with their wigs? (On wearing, taking care of etc). Thanks for all the videos, very informative (:

SoshiStars Ent. *YOU YELLING AT ME IS GIVING ME ANXIETY.*
She already did
How to style it? E.g How to curl, straighten, ect.
Becca Measor Ik this is really really really late but if you wanna curl and straighten it, it has to be a natural hair wig
@@hollywonch5694 nope there's heat resistant wigs
you really shouldn’t use a heat curler/straightener. it will burn the plastic

there has never been a wig on my head in my entire life, but im loving your wig series 😂
I just started wearing wigs for cosplay and this is a COMPLETELY helpful series!! Thank you so much!
(this is for the people who dont have that shampoo) you can also use fabric softener! 💕
I'm a few months late but can I use laundry detergent?
Can you do one on how to repair a damaged wig? One of my wigs is totally frazzled.
EverythingIC I suggest using laundry detergent. If you let it soak in water and laundry detergent, it should be softer and not as frazzled.
Grey Patches Hope it works!
@@julianorden8108 omg tysm
@@asha3886 omg hi, i completely forgot i commented that lol. i meant fabric softener!! not laundry detergent

or tackle one half in one part of the day and the other later in the day.
DEFINITELY brush from bottom to the top to reduce the tightening of the knots and tangles.

RoyaContraMundum Use a fabric softener. it's a lot more gentle then regular conditioner.
Thank you so much for making this!!! 💕 This was the one major wig care bit I was unsure on, so this helped A LOT!!! Love ya!
Ugh Alexa is so adorable
I have a metre long wig. I use the shower for convenience and have found it helps massively with tangle reduction
i dont own any wigs at all nor am i looking to purchase one anytime soon, but i still enjoy watching this series for some reason lol

That pink wig suits you soooooo good 💗!
This really helped me wash the pigtails to my Miku Hatsune wig and some random wig I was going to wear for a cosplay. Thanks!
Yay! Alexa, I adore your wig series videos!
I don't have shampoo for wigs, so I was wondering how important it is to use shampoo for wigs or can I use my normal shampoo?
I'm so happy I found you~ ♡
This has helped a lot! ^^
great video! Im trying to buy my first wig soon-- would you recommend washing it like this when we first get it?

Hello, I bough a kenma wig and the style is like a bob and the hair comes inward how could i make it straight
I heard you could use laundry detergent to wash and then liquid fabric softener to help soften it and make it easier to brush? does that work too?

How to cut bangs in a wig?

This really helped me with confidence to wash my first wig
After watching this I broke my sink this does not help 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Could you do a video on how to know if a wigs a good quality and different types of wigs?
What if you don't have special shampoo? 🥺
What happens if your wig has two (separate) ponytails?
This was super helpful ❤️🧖🏻♀️🧖🏻
I have that exact blonde wig for a kaori cosplay but I didn't buy it from where ever you got it from I think

Thank you for addressing lace-front wigs! And I'll certainly remember the tip about using cold water. Thank you, Alexa! :)
Does it matter what kind of shampoo and conditioner you use? Or can you just use regular shampoo and conditioner??
Does this work on synthetic wigs aswell? Also how many times a week would you wash it? (Questions from a newbie wig wearer)
What kind of shampoo?
I didn't understand it sry
I like your Video 💗 They're great and helpful
Where did you get your shirt??? I love it!!
i feel like i’m the only person who watches alexa’s channel who DOES own wigs
How often should you wash your wigs? I recently purchased my first wig for a cosplay I've been working on, it's a 26" long, slightly curled wig
Late reply, wash sparingly. If you wear daily, like every two weeks or three. If cos, only when it feels or smells kinda off.
