Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Co occurrence

October is a busy month for raising awareness!
So many neurodevelopmental conditions are acknowledged and celebrated, including dyslexia, ADHD, and, of course, Developmental Language Disorder! We often get caught up in thinking about each of these conditions separately, but what if we stopped and thought about how they all fit together?
DLD is known to impact on a person’s ability to understand and/or use language, however it rarely occurs in isolation. People with DLD can struggle with attention, behaviour, reading, numeracy, fine/gross motor etc.
