In a music industry that is over saturated with great singers with breathy, whispery tones, GG is like a breath of fresh air. Her voice texture is how I imagine landing on solid ground after parachuting would feel like.
Her tone reminds me of Tina Arena - punchy but not ear rupturing, with just the right tenderness around the corners.

I was in the US Navy Band and was stationed in Yokosuka Japan and the 2 years I was there was the only time the Navy Band didn’t go to the Philippines. I was very disappointed.

I always go back to this video and it always feel like I've heard it for the first time. There's so many version of "Till They Take My Heart Away" but gigi's version is my favorite. Kudos to the whole band!

My plea to Gigi, Jon and the boys in the band: Compose a few choice songs and lyrics like these for Gigi, record them in your multi-track studio (using Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase, whatever), copyright them, upload them to TH-cam, and then shop them around to agents and record companies in multiple countries, and try to get on America's or Britain's Got Talent, and start with "Through the Fire" (you all kill on it). All of you need to be on a much bigger stage together.
