At 10:00 nice Storm poster, beautiful. Wrestler Jade Cargill, would be a good candidate to play the role of Storm to be in the X-Men movie. Nice review.
I wish there was a comic store like that in my area & that $1 bin.... agh. If you don't have it already, you glanced at Daredevil 252, which is one of my all-time favourite Daredevil stories & a great crossover with the Fall of the Mutants event running in Uncanny X-Men 223-225. It's a good quick& easy crossover, but also stands out very well on its own! Also, as a big DC guy, I gotta say those Spectre issues are my faves. It's such a hard series to find any copies of!
That place is a time hog. People go in and you can’t get yourself out of there. Great inventory and they always have more outback to replace what leaves! Worth the trip
Yes! My childhood in one store 🎺 my goodness I'm going go hit the lottery. I thought time travelers in Berkeley Mich was generous but no this place. Wow. Massive store . Great video 💯
Nice work here again. I have memories of getting that very same Defenders in 1975 (I'm old). I still have it, but at best in VG as it was a favorite of mine. And even early on, I became a fan of Valkyrie!
That is my go to store. Patrick is a great guy and always treats me well. I have been buying from him for over twenty years and it never gets old. Nice pickups Mike, good luck with getting those books when you go back.
WoW love the poster of storm. All does books where great you always pick some good ones well I wish I was that lucky damn I wish I lived in Boston, New York has a lot of comic book stores but its hard to find the issues I be missing the $1 books are the best keep picking and I will keep watching your #1 fan
Mount up men to the dollar bins with Mike, lets ride! If only, here in the Land of Oz we have no such thing. So thank you for takung us aling Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
I love Worlds Unknown which you flicked past on your way to the X-Men books, one of Roy Thomas' several efforts to bring adaptations of quality SF short stories to Marvel in the 1970s; another was the b/w Unknown Worlds Of Science Fiction. But none of the titles could find an audience and none lasted more than 8 or 9 issues. Starhawk joined the Guardians Of The Galaxy - the TRUE Guardians, not the fakes from the movies - in their 30th century battle against the Badoon. Tough call Mike but I think it's a tie for best buy between the Neal Adams Spectre and the Art Adams-drawn X-Men Annual.
Awesome pickups! My favorites would definitely be the dc books being a dc fan more than marvel. Awesome prices as well as an amazing looking store, maybe one day I’ll make the trip.
As it pertains to no mad, I believe Clint Barton was also that character for a short time. PS - Keyboard damaged, have to use tap and speak. Can't edit sorry. no mad!😄
Mike, cool grabs!! I really dig those old Spectre covers even if they are all not by Neal Adams!! One Question: Does Kwannon spend all of his /her time hunting wabbits? Good vid. I hope you make that sale!!
Ok, so The Spectre (1968, Vol. 1) Issues #6-10 were drawn by the criminally under-read Jerry Grandenetti. I had to say this because I have been obsessively collecting every 60's/70's Grandenetti comic that I can find after being utterly blown away by the art in those very Spectre Issues. It is feverish and psychedelic, colorful and bizarre! It's dense and imaginative abstract pop art! Grandenetti did alot of short horror stories for the DC mystery books at the time like The Unexpected, Ghosts, House Of Mystery, House Of Secrets, The Witching Hour, etc. He could turn an otherwise pedestrian 6-page short horror story into a hallucinatory masterpiece! I highly advise anyone reading this to check him out.
I talked quite a bit about Nightcrawler’s history in my last video precisely because I knew the new story was coming out and was pretty certain about what they were going to do. It was always Claremont’s intention for that to be the true story and it’s always been my head canon anyways so I’m quite happy.
Sure did! I talked a lot about Nightcrawler’s history in my last video because I knew what was coming. In short, what was revealed was always what Claremont intended and what has been my head-canon for 20+ years. So I’m pretty happy with it being official.
Hi Mike I love the channel! Could you change your comic wall behind you? Reason I ask is you got Great keys some grails but some of us can’t even get close to some of those issues! If you show more affordable issues it makes more sense to your label “Lunch Money Comics.” It’s just distancing me from you with all these gems! Plus there are plenty of affordable gems out there that we all can afford! I’m not saying get rid of all those high price books off your wall! But it makes you look better than the rest of us.
I appreciate your feedback and viewpoint. I have spent a lot of time and effort building this collection over many years with nothing but lunch money as its basis. A large part of my channel’s message is that you can build a great comic collection for less money by working really hard to find them in the wild, building a good relationship with your local comic book community, and selling or trading up to get the books you want and have the hobby pay for itself. I am proud with how my work has paid off, even though I acknowledge it may feel alienating to some. Believe me when I say I display these books not to boast but to instead inspire, by showing that these books ARE attainable with a lot of elbow grease, a little lunch money, and an always positive attitude!
It’s actually mixed fairly low relative to the voice volume, but it plays different on every device. Not much I can do there except recommend you set the volume on your end to what sounds good
That $1 bin would be the death of me.
Good place to lose a whole day and a whole paycheck. Lol 😂😂 Looks like fun.
At 10:00 nice Storm poster, beautiful. Wrestler Jade Cargill, would be a good candidate to play the role of Storm to be in the X-Men movie.
Nice review.
All about lunch money spending
I’m a fan of the constrictor! Love those street level villains.
The obligatory Spectre 7 is Jerry Grandenetti pencils with Murphy Anderson on inks. Great stuff!!
The 7 year old me's head would have exploded walking into a toy shop like that when I was that age, wow!!
I hope you go back for that Swamp Thing 11!

Wow, this shop looks amazing!
Fantastic books, for budget shopping. On sale next week? For sure take the chance.
Good job. 👍😊
My favorite was the X-men of course
Nice work here again. I have memories of getting that very same Defenders in 1975 (I'm old). I still have it, but at best in VG as it was a favorite of mine. And even early on, I became a fan of Valkyrie!
Great vid as always. One correction; That X-Men #31 cover wasn't with the mandarin, but spiral.
Haha I barely looked at it, it’s CLEARLY Spiral with all the arms
Wow! If I had an lcs with a dollar bin like that, I'd spend a whole weekend there!
Cool haul Mike love the Batman shirt and awesome video 💯👍😁
I’ll be heading there for the sale. One of my favorite comic stores in mass
Very nice additions you’ve found there :-)
Phantom Stranger & Spectre are always great pickups.
Awesome pickups sold my pc last year slowly building it back. I used to have the cameo and 1st appearance of Starhawk too both in 9.6 cgc
That is my go to store. Patrick is a great guy and always treats me well. I have been buying from him for over twenty years and it never gets old. Nice pickups Mike, good luck with getting those books when you go back.
Crazy store!
Now I’m dying to go to that shop. One day
AMAZING DEALS👍🏻
What a great comic book history lesson on Captain America's nomad character top notch Great show. Plus you had a bunch of dollar bin wins.
That Deadman/Phantom Stranger book looks awesome! Definitely my pick for the best. And so much X-Men goodness. Great haul, Mike!
I live in the town next to were the store is located. I get lost digging in those bins many times
All that for $20 amazing and I love the explanations!

That store literally has everything! Wow! Good pick-up on the first Starhawk.
Great video! Looked like there were some great books in the dollar bins and they looked to be in great shape. What a great store!
Not being a Marvel devotee I have to go with the Spectre issues..Great covers...looking forward to your next video when you raid the 50% discount...
Awesome 😊- love that Art Adams Annual!
Diggin the call waiting music haha
Nice haul! I would love to look through those dollar boxes.

You need to come to the Midwest…your prices are crazy high!!😂
I think thats Spiral on the XMen cover
Another great video sir. Your channel was one of my main inspirations to start my own, keep up the great content!
Wow, I’ve died and watched you go to Heaven!
Awesome pickups! My favorites would definitely be the dc books being a dc fan more than marvel. Awesome prices as well as an amazing looking store, maybe one day I’ll make the trip.

Hi I'm from Sturbridge
As it pertains to no mad, I believe Clint Barton was also that character for a short time.
PS - Keyboard damaged, have to use tap and speak. Can't edit sorry.
no mad!😄
That definitely is a store I could spend all day in. What do you do with your doubles? Do you keep them or sell them?
I keep them too long then usually give, trade, or sell them

I know you don’t normally talk about current things on here, but I’m very curious what you thought of Nightcrawler’s latest origin story.

It was always Claremont’s intention for that to be the true story and it’s always been my head canon anyways so I’m quite happy.
Did you read the blue xmen origins that came out this week? What did you think of the retcon of Nightcrawler's origin?
Sure did! I talked a lot about Nightcrawler’s history in my last video because I knew what was coming. In short, what was revealed was always what Claremont intended and what has been my head-canon for 20+ years. So I’m pretty happy with it being official.
Do they have any Sonic comics? I swear some of the IDW Sonic variants are impossible to find!
I didn’t see any but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there!
we have nothing like that near me, I would spend far too much time and money there...

Wow, I didn’t know you are an x men fan
I have had luck at some used bookstores. Have you ever tried them? Dan
Not really, never really found much
I know The Book Oasis in Stoneham has a couple of Short boxes. They get them in from time to time. Dan@@lunchmoneycomics
A lot of high prices on nearly all the books you showed
Always good videos - but what's with the loud beat (music?) is so annoying.
Please could you simply lower the volume?
It’s actually mixed fairly low relative to the voice volume, but it plays different on every device. Not much I can do there except recommend you set the volume on your end to what sounds good
Why was the first store so expensive? Pricing $5 books at $15…
I used to have sub there but it was across st and over twenty years ago. A guy named Patrick owned. Is he still there
Yup, Pat is still there but wasn’t working that day
Noooo don’t tell people about my local spots!
Sorry! I swear they asked me to!
All good, I just want that sale all to myself haha
