Butterfly people consider to be the start of her decline, its definitely raspier and has less ease but she basically still had the same exact voice, just tired lol, the real decline (imo) was in the mid 2000s and then again in the late 2010s, if we're talking about loss of range and ease. butterfly was the last era of consistent vibrato and her agility was crazy 😭❤️
Also yeah she started struggling during the butterfly era. People have speculated a lot as to why and it really interests me since I really have no clue what caused her voice to shift. She was still insanely good during that era though. These clips are just comparisons so it’s not the best vocals that era has to offer
