It is this man that made me listen and like Shefiu Alao till today. Mr. Adewale gave us alujo in the first live-play of Alao made around 89/90 when he played for Oredapo Social Circle Oke-odo, Ile-epo area. I still remember all the lines in that live-play till today. We used to call that live-play Oshiele. He eulogized Oke baba Fatimo Egungun Oshiele and soooooo many Oke-odo youths then. I am still looking for full track of that live-play till today. I have not seen it.
Olu-perry Fatai Ayinla is the original one, but because he was the pioneer of such act... Leading Wasiu Ayinde's Band with Sakara only ... And Wasiu was proud of it , he even used it to sing that " Sakara meta ni iya'luu tiwa ooo (2ce). Aluluf'oge rababa Olu-perry koni re o... Sakara meta loga ilu ti Wa....
i use to comment, point of correction, shefiu first mecca is 90s and Bola that he mention Joined shefiu Alao in 1988/89, i and Bola played for Salimon Akanni 1986/1988 in Mafoluku Oja before moved to abeokuta, Adewale join shefiu Alao band 1989/1990, in 1989 when sefiu alao played in mokola abeokuta, at the back of a woman called iya shamu oni resi, mokola roundabout, i met adewale, he always called me Ayan, at mokola that day he told me that theyre preparing to go to studio, that is shefiu alao first Album, maybe he forget the year, even when adewale has his first kid, it was Sunny T played there, then i was among sunny t band boys then, sometims you forget years.
Great interview as usual. The wee hour impacted on Mr Agbaletu😂 Just like Foli Peperempe wished he had some coffee, Mr Agbaletu needed some Orogbo or Kolanuts.
I am a bona-fide Lagos Island boy, I was born in Lagos Island and raised there before I travelled out of Nigeria 🇳🇬 in fact I never leave in any other parts of Lagos State than Lagos Island....Original omo Eko ni mi, Eyo is many as he said but all the Eyo are not using the same costume, yeah, they are all using the same white as cloth and the same opanbata but may be designed differently but they are all using different colours of AGA/caps I respect this man, he has wisdom...He said things as it's 👏💯
Mr. Adeyanju, Dele please remember that health is wealth. Always taking a good time to resting in order to preventing you from sleeping on a live program
You're right he really fucked up he slept off even his guest noticed. But he has never slept off before cos I followed bumper 2 bumper. anyway, sorry on his behalf ❤.

Weldone to you both. Well said. A little observation, there's been gangan and apala drum in Fuji before '84, that's what's Sir Kamoru Ayansola played behind SAB and there's gangan too in Ibadan Fuji artist

All these cele and kerubu boys need to reevaluate their lives and move their talents away from ungrateful Alhaji’s and think of forming their own bands. Enough of them labouring. If the Ayans want to remain in bondage, let them be.
Many of the band members of Fuji musicians especially Guitarist, keyboardists and Drum set players are from the White Garment Churches. These Alhajis use them with nothing in return.
