    How do you setup up a list of favorite radio stations?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are easily accessible options for this in the radio menu. Simply scroll to your favorite station, and either set it to a shortcut, or click add to favorites.

    Thanks! Very informative. Do you know if you can open the shortcut menu with a voice command?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome, glad you enjoyed. It would be best to just use the voice command to navigate to a desired shortcut. So, for example, if you have a certain radio station set to a shortcut, instead of using voice command to navigate to shortcuts then select the radio station, just use voice command to navigate to the radio station.

    Great video! Waiting for my 3 series LCI. But does the “hey BMW” command just respond easily to “heat on/off” or “max cool”? I was so used to just hit the fan up and down buttons when I felt hot or cold. Most of all will miss the extra dial that could help cool the heat on the top vents

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed! "Hey BMW" will respond to either of those controls, or more specific controls, like "set climate to 65" or "increase fan speed". Or, you can still use the in-screen climate menu controls, as you used to use the hard buttons in previous models.

      That's interesting... have you tried an iDrive reset? Hold down the power button (with the engine turned on) until the screen turns off. Once the screen turns off, release the button and let the screen boot back up. Hopefully this helps!

    I bought An IX40. Can you make a video aloud My Modes? I don’t what it is doing? Changing only the colours of the interior? The steering and seats in sport mode??

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The MyModes feature is an evolution of the sport/comfort/eco modes found in BMW's for the past few years. In addition to changing steering, throttle, transmission, and suspension feel, the MyModes also change seat bolsters, ambient lighting, and some other things. The intention is to not only make the car drive "sportier" but to make the cabin and such feel sportier as well. Same goes for Eco modes found within MyModes as well.

    • @paulmilants3842
      @paulmilants3842 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bmwofmorristown9038 thx. Is it normal that you can change the interior colour in the efficient mode? What mode do you recommend to use?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulmilants3842 We generally recommend the standard personal mode for everyday driving, but don't be afraid to make use of sport and eco modes when you feel like you want or need to! Ambient lighting has presets for each mode, but is changeable as well.

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AW-gj4ji Objectively: ID8 has more processing power, more customization, and quicker response times. Subjectively, it's more intuitive to use, and has a more intelligently laid out menu setup and home screen. Of course, for some, the objective benefits won't outweigh one's subjective distaste for it. As with anything, ID7 vs. ID8 can boil down to personal preference, but there are objective benefits.

    • @AW-gj4ji
      @AW-gj4ji 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bmwofmorristown9038 Well unless I'm watching netflix on the display I don't see how the processing power helps at all.
      Let's be honest here, everyone is just gonna use carplay/android auto. The customization is a one time setup and then it will no longer be. needed again.
      The shortcut buttons and climate control just gotten slower if anything.

    o boy,,. lol! people who doesnt know anything about the technology , advancements in the auto market could be quite excited with these features, the demo being shown looks as if a 10th grade kid developed some crazy UI, with bunch of silly app's. on such luxury cars, which are between 50-100 grand, ppl expect to see realistic features/functionalities like FSD (full self driving), sentry mode (for such luxury expensive cars a must to have feature like tesla model 3 which is way way less than these luxury cars like bmw), remote 3d live view of your vehicle (as the current system in x7 sucks , where you only get to see pictures taken by the app,. while it can give you a live 3d view from your app), and most funny design or may be i should call as the worst functionality or feature is the air blow system,. sit in any newly designed bmw and try to turn on the AC with the blower,. now sit in any toyota camry the middle mans luxury car, or model 3 of tesla and give a try blowing the air towards your face, and see the difference,. experience how good the air blows with so much of pressure on such less expensive cars and see the worst air blow towards the direction you want on any bmw,. it sucks,. trust me,. and then the lumbar support,. give a try on a toyota camry vs the new bmw x7 for instance,. you will laugh at the quality of lumbar support between x7 vs toyota camry, where you get the best lumbar support on such a car which is hardly 25 grand,. and moreover, you get to see full self driving systems that takes care of lane change automatically in cars like model 3, or bluecruise of ford/mach e, where as you do not get anything in these BMW's except where they show such FSD's in garage parking ;) where there is no traffic at all.. wake up BMW team.. you can do better job,.
