@@LSGproductions713 easiest way is obstacle avoidance and baked in mapping software; hence the price difference. You really need that obstacle avoidance then consider Evo 2 Pro. Lite+ has night mode though with some baked in denoising software. Evo 2 Pro also has a smart controller option, but the new smaller smart controller WILL eventually be compatible with Lite series. Well, I like that you did this test without a bunch of post editing. First of all, most drone fliers are not professional photographers. I am sure not one myself. From my untrained eye, to me, the Autel Lite + has the best nighttime video. I certainly have nothing against the Mavic. It has very good video as well. But between these, for the average flier I think the Lite + is the best value. It’s is going to be fun to see just what DJI has coming in it’s Mini 3 and what Autel will bring to the table with its, sometime in the future, Evo 3! At least there is a drone for everybody from the DJI Mini SE up the the Mavic 3 cinema! Lots to pick from! Grab one and go have some fun! Thanks, Tom
When properly edited the Mavic 3 should look the best with the larger sensor. Straight from the camera it's a toss-up between the two watching on my 85 inch TV. Sometimes on shots the Evo+ looked over bright at night but then again on certain shots the Mavic 3 looked on the dark side. Now for the price difference of nearly 1200 dollars between the two 1700 for the Evo + and almost 3000 for the Mavic 3 I am not sure it's worth the extra money. I know they are fanboys on both sides who will argue stuff to moon and back but for my Evo 1 replacement the Evo + is the one I plan on buying. Don't get me wrong the Mavic 3 is a great drone. My best friend has one. But I am not going to spend that kind of money right now. Great comparison video!
I appreciate your comment. That was the whole goal of the video. Too many posting videos with highly edited in post footage and I just wanted it raw out of the drone. Some automatic mode and some manually composed. It’s probably why you see it extra bright and too low sometimes. The build in denoising software on the Lite+ really impressed me coming from such an affordable platform.
No it dosnt its not just about the sensor its how the imagae is put on the memory card. The mavic 3 just has softer image and thats something all the fji fan boys have to accept.

I don't know, I half love the look of the colors and love that the giant(dji) is getting great competition but my lite plus is making my grass alien yellowgreen and sky cartoon blue and makes my eyes bug out on auto in well lit scenes. And the tree tops on the skyline have strange pixeling or aliasing? Not sure. Maybe it is me. My mavic 3 photos look way less detailed than the lite plus though. You'd think the bigger sensor would render better but not the case. On the other hand my lite plus gimbal is constantly drifting and blurring almost every exposure under 1/4 second. Even sitting on the floor not moving the lite plus gimbal is drifting around. They need to fix this cause it takes beautiful nightscape and sunset shots
@@anthonysmith9864 I do not see sharpening. Sharpening creates artifacts in the image. If you zoom in on images from the M3 and the EVO lite+ the EVO just has more detail.

The Autel Lite+ flies like a Mavic, has a 35 minute real flight time, better low light performance, zero noise & crisper more detailed imagery. Looking forward to the addition of 10 bit log on the Lite+ soon. IMO whilst the M3 is great to fly, but its imagery is too soft for my liking.
Yep man i was thinking the same thing thats why i didnt get it the image is still not sharp enough just like the mavic 2 pro i hated that image man so much i returned it and it looks like the mavic 3 is still the same too soft.
how about take a look at some proper night videos with m3 etc? it was beaten to death, autel proceessing is done with hyped shadows, sharpness and noise filters, which gibes you that smart phone image. you dont buy 3/4 sensor drone to get that, right?
Interesting testing, and Autel has really developed a great night mode for this drone. If you do a lot of flying and filming at night, this might be one to consider. That being said the other two still looked good, and good enough if you only occasionally fly at night. Thanks for sharing.

I have theLite plus but I have a few issues with it. The home button doesnt work and for some reason, the drone wont fly faster than 4mph with the sensors on. No, I dont have it in novice mode and ive called the company and they cant figure it out. Any advice for me?
I’ll check back with you; I do remember from Evo 2 pro - outside of the novice mode there is a 11mph setting and a 22mph settings with sensors on. Perhaps you have it set to 11mph?
Nano had a ton of initial issues that I really wasn’t interested in getting or dealing with. Mini 3 and Nano is a better comparison IMO than Lite+. I think lite next to Air2s is a better comparison than Mavic 3 and Evo 2 Pro, but Lite+ camera is phenomenal.
@@CaliforniaPhantom yes it definitely is! I have an air 2 not the 2s and was having trouble in some of the low light situations I was in. So I was looking at different drones and ended up going with the lite plus. I don't regret it at all. Just got it yesterday so there is still time for regret but Holy cow that camera is way better. And on my curiosity I was more thinking the lite vs the lite plus on seeing which one is better. I knew the nano plus had the ryyb and figured nobody would have the lite and lite plus so the nano plus vs lite plus would have been more of a chance to have happen. Thanks and cheers.

I am torn between purchasing the Lite+ to get me started on the right foot or the EVO 2 6k..From what I understand the 6k does a poor mapping job no matter the software. My plan is to start with Real Estate but do not want a drone that does not offer the flexibility to expand expand my horizons down the road and I refuse to support DJI. BTW I reached out to Autel about adding the firmware upgrade I mentioned above. The night time mode that the Lite+ has. I will copy and paste the reply- As for a specific night-time camera profile, this feature is unfortunately only going to be available on the EVO Lite+. Keep the vids coming CaliPhantom!

Video straight out of the Lite+ is something pretty amazing. Too many others are highly editing M3 and other footage; I wanted to make sure to make a video where it’s straight out of the drone. That way many people want that ease of use, not having to deal with a lot of post processing. The Lite+ definitely helps with that and Advexure has been amazing in how quick they got it to me.
I did because they became outdated. The DJI drone added onboard denoising night modes that meets or exceeds the Autel. Autel at this point only advantage is pricing and no geofencing. They are exiting the consumer drone market, focusing their efforts like Skydio on the commercial sector. They have no intention on releasing any future Evo Pro’s and their reputation for service has really fallen off - so take that with a grain of salt 🧂 if you are on the fence about which one to buy.

Fantastic… just be wary of Autel’s customer support at the moment. They going through some major internal shift right now opting to go more enterprise based. Customer service has fallen off a cliff as of late.
It certainly looked that way to me straight out of the drone. Now what people can do in post is rather subjective. That’s why I left all the video files in a Dropbox link contained in the description. My goal was for people to make their own minds up based on what they see and what they can do with the footage with the software they have. I appreciate your comment.
Any night video I have shot on my E2P has not been edited. Just straight form the drone and then to the web or the client. I've not tried HDR at night yet but will have to one night soon. But it seems the DJI fan boy came out. As far as transmission goes. Who cares if you can fly over a mile at night. You really don't need to be more than few hundred feet awya t night. Need to keep VLOS if your doing a paid job or even flying for yourself. NO nee dot endanger others or other aircraft in the air. But this in my opinion. The Lite did an amazing job and I got the fact that it was straight from the drone to the computer. But as far as having night mode on the E2P might be hard to pull off. Two different sensors. Lite has the RYYB and the E2P has and RGB. So there may be the difference. But who knows. Maybe they can pull it off. It's all software based anyway these days.
Well said. Tried to be as subjective as possible. I’m not sure what some have been saying about transmission. Lite+ had amazing transmission as does the Evo 2 pro. All plenty far for legal flight.
Fantastic video sir! I am in the market for a high quality drone. I have been thinking to purchase the Evo 2 Pro V2 but now you have me scratching my head! What advantage does the Pro have over the Lite+? Does the lite + have the same intelligent modes? At this point I am strictly recreational. How about the 10 log mode? How important is that? I have experience with still photography but not video post production editing.
Lite+ doesn’t have as many intelligent modes or the mapping software. Lite+ is great with the onboard denoising for low light, but I do believe the Evo 2 Pro flys better than the Lite+. I enjoy also the smart controller for the Evo 2 Pro for professional work. Evo 2 also has the 360 sensors. There is a lot of value in Evo 2 Pro.

Simply put, the Lite just looks better. I keep hearing that the Mavic 3 is better but I cannot see a reason to buy it over the Lite. I've been using mine for "serious stuff" for a while now with no complaints. I returned my Mavic 3. Saved some money and making money at the same time.
All of them look great to me. Both Evo's had sharper detail to my eye and I think that is by design. The Evo's have a better depth of field but the M3 is a beast and a dream to fly. It has a great camera and color science. I think the DJI would be the one to get for those who prefer DJI over Autel and maybe for some jobs where they do require a DJI drone. For the hobbyist the Lite+ is the clear winner for quality footage, photo's, ease of use, lack of geofencing, and price. The Evo 2 Pro is still holding its own quite well so for those who have them the bump in night photography probably won't be a need to get the Lite+ but for those like me; it's certainly a 'want'. For those who do a lot of night videography the Lite+ is the overall winner in my humble opinion.
Well said and I share similar thoughts. For the price the Lite+ simply cannot be ignored. Important to note that this was pre-Mavic 3 firmware update that just dropped. I know it’s fixed telephoto lens sharpness; I wonder if it helped any night time footage 🤔
I thought about that but man for purposes of TH-cam that would be a really tight crop. Maybe in the future I can send them all up from the same spot and do a pan with that same thing to overlap them.
Thank you so much for the dropbox files, they were so helpful, and I think Mavic 3 still much better than the others, not much brighter, but zooming in, the image is was less post-produced, better looking, and easier to edit.
It’s great you don’t get hostile; too many people take it personally not realizing that there are different drones for different folks. It’s perfectly fine and reasonable to have a different need that the Mavic 3 fills better for you. It’s not like I don’t own one myself 😂. Only drone I absolutely didn’t like was Mavic 2 Pro. I returned it. “Hasselblad” camera that was crappier than Phantom 4 pro that was 2 years older; camera had pixel binning and not even 4K60. Monumentally disappointing so I returned that one. Outside of that one every DJI drone has been relatively good and can’t knock them for the way they fly or the cameras.
WE ASKED! YOU TESTED! WE DECIDE!!! Heck I haven't even watched all the video, but what I can say is, that even if the Lite + is less, it is also half the price. So I guess it is bang for the buck?

Sorry for the delay; there is a couple of flat profiles and you can adjust the saturation onboard within the software.

Yes, I like the Autel Lite Plus. My only gripe is there's no sensitivity adjustment for the gimbal.

Fantastic video sir! I am in the market for a high quality drone. I have been thinking to purchase the Evo 2 Pro V2 but now you have me scratching my head!
What advantage does the Pro have over the Lite+? Does the lite + have the same intelligent modes? At this point I am strictly recreational. How about the 10 log mode? How important is that? I have experience with still photography but not video post production editing.
Lite+ doesn’t have as many intelligent modes or the mapping software. Lite+ is great with the onboard denoising for low light, but I do believe the Evo 2 Pro flys better than the Lite+. I enjoy also the smart controller for the Evo 2 Pro for professional work. Evo 2 also has the 360 sensors. There is a lot of value in Evo 2 Pro.

Simply put, the Lite just looks better. I keep hearing that the Mavic 3 is better but I cannot see a reason to buy it over the Lite. I've been using mine for "serious stuff" for a while now with no complaints. I returned my Mavic 3. Saved some money and making money at the same time.
Nothing wrong with that. Lite+ is definitely more than capable for many commercial applications. That’s awesome to hear.
All of them look great to me. Both Evo's had sharper detail to my eye and I think that is by design. The Evo's have a better depth of field but the M3 is a beast and a dream to fly. It has a great camera and color science. I think the DJI would be the one to get for those who prefer DJI over Autel and maybe for some jobs where they do require a DJI drone.
For the hobbyist the Lite+ is the clear winner for quality footage, photo's, ease of use, lack of geofencing, and price. The Evo 2 Pro is still holding its own quite well so for those who have them the bump in night photography probably won't be a need to get the Lite+ but for those like me; it's certainly a 'want'. For those who do a lot of night videography the Lite+ is the overall winner in my humble opinion.
Well said and I share similar thoughts. For the price the Lite+ simply cannot be ignored. Important to note that this was pre-Mavic 3 firmware update that just dropped. I know it’s fixed telephoto lens sharpness; I wonder if it helped any night time footage 🤔

I thought about that but man for purposes of TH-cam that would be a really tight crop. Maybe in the future I can send them all up from the same spot and do a pan with that same thing to overlap them.
Does it really matter? The differences were pretty obvious.

Thank you so much for the dropbox files, they were so helpful, and I think Mavic 3 still much better than the others, not much brighter, but zooming in, the image is was less post-produced, better looking, and easier to edit.
It’s great you don’t get hostile; too many people take it personally not realizing that there are different drones for different folks. It’s perfectly fine and reasonable to have a different need that the Mavic 3 fills better for you. It’s not like I don’t own one myself 😂. Only drone I absolutely didn’t like was Mavic 2 Pro. I returned it. “Hasselblad” camera that was crappier than Phantom 4 pro that was 2 years older; camera had pixel binning and not even 4K60. Monumentally disappointing so I returned that one. Outside of that one every DJI drone has been relatively good and can’t knock them for the way they fly or the cameras.

Heck I haven't even watched all the video, but what I can say is, that even if the Lite + is less, it is also half the price.
So I guess it is bang for the buck?
