Great video! I cracked a lens quite soon after getting my ONE X2 so I bought lens guards after having the lens fixed... the drop in quality was awful so I stopped using them... unfortunately, the vulnerability of these lenses is just part of it. I wish they would make the lenses user removeable/replaceable.
The lens is actually replaceable (lens can be bought from AliExpress/eBay for about $35-50 for a set of 2). Bought an x2 for $50 on eBay with the lens replacement for $50 for both. A heat gun, thin tweezers and some patience is all it took to replace them. Tons of videos on TH-cam how to do it yourself.
No filters. The colour profile that I used was the vibrant one, and WB was on auto, or I might have switched it to 5500K, I can't remember. I'm 90% sure it's auto WB for that shot.
I recently bought the insta360 one X2 and was wondering what the best exporting settings to post on instagram using the insta360 app. Do you usually do a certain custom setting or just auto?
The few times that I've done it, I've just used auto settings, but I'm going to try a few different custom settings to find out what's gonna be the best.

Hey 👋🏾 I haven’t shared the Insta360 X3 review yet, but I’m working on it and hoping to have it out within the next week or so. I’ve not used the GoPro Max lens mod, but if you’re wanting a 360 camera specifically, then I do highly recommend Insta360. Depending on your budget and what you want it for the 360 1-inch Edition has the best video quality but isn’t waterproof and is the most expensive, the X3 has really good video quality and is waterproof and less expensive.
Hello Tamara 🤗 I don’t understand these 360 cameras when it comes to editing. For example there are some videos here on YT made with this camera that has the directional pad in the upper left hand corner of the video that allows the viewer to navigate around the full 360 degree video. Then there’s other videos like yours that’s showing a 180 degree view (i think 🤔).
@@TamaraGabrielUK That’s cool. I don’t know why i was thinking it would be a nightmare 😂 Maybe you could share a 360 video, and possible attaching the Insta360 to your drone to see how that would look. Sorry my mind is just racing with ideas 🤭
Yeah sure, I'll share a 360 video. I won't be able to attach the camera to my drone though, as I don't have an fpv drone just the Mini 2. I have been thinking of getting an fpv drone though 👀
For anyone looking for the best settings the actual info doesn't start till 4:20 and lasts for about 15 seconds 0_o Also what exactly does making sure you have closed the battery hatch or "usb port" have to do with picture quality again?

Would you want to slow the footage down at all?
I do find that reducing the exposure to about -0.5 gives the best result, especially on really sunny bright days. Cheers

Huh, didn't know about the HDR setting negatively impacting quality. I'll have to give it another go without HDR. Thanks for the tips!
No problem. HDR is better in the X3.

I use both. It depends what I'm doing. If the video is for Instagram then I use the mobile app, but if for TH-cam then I use the desktop app.

Hey Kyle. Yeah, it depends how you export the video, whether you export it as a flat video or a 360 video.

You can't, as far as I know they are the only options.
