Great tutorial! On many other youtube insta360 editing tutorials they try to fit too much in, but you have selected the perfect amount of detail. Also, many other you-tubers develop a sort of robotic voice when they are doing heavily procedural videos. You do not, and I appreciate that.

I like taking and composing photos or figuring out an interesting approach to a video but as God is my witness, I can't stand editing. So its encouraging that, with the phone app at least, I may be able to muddle through. I get my X2 in a week or so. If nothing else, I'll dump all of my clips on my wife. She seems to actually enjoy editing.
Believe it or not, a few years ago I didn't like editing myself, and now I just enjoy all of it. (OK, MOST of it) but you are very lucky if your wife just happens to like editing 😄

Very helpfull for beginers. But now you must make the part 2 ;-) explaining how to make a story with multitrim of a clip and combination of multi clips. In my opinion this is the final goal of everybody using such a device with such a potential to tell a funny story And thank you for the calm pace of your talking. It’s really make the difference
Here too.. This is where I'm having issues. If I have a long clip that I want to use several segments, how do trim those and extract them without losing the rest?
You have to make multiple cuts on one go. In other words, you can use the scissors ✂️ multiple times on the same clip. Whatever you select is what will be kept. Everything else will be "hidden". I say hidden because it will not be lost forever since you can undo those edits
It's possible that this video will be delayed, so easiest way is to go to "stories" and then go to "create a story". That will allow you to paste different video clips, even videos that are on your smartphone gallery (non-insta360)
Great video. I own a Osmo Pocket. I love the quality of the videos but I don't use it enough to be learn the settings for quick, on the go shooting. I'm just Grandpa that likes to make quick funny videos of the grandkids at family gatherings and then throw something together in iMovie (I'm almost ready for FCPX). That's why I ordered the One X2 because sometimes I would miss the shot or not have it framed right (hard to see the display in bright sun) when using the Osmo Pocket. The best thing about a 360 camera is I won't miss the shot or moment. I can always fix it in editing. I will be getting my One X2 any day now. I can't wait! The pace of your videos are awesome. Keep it up. Us older folk like the slow pace. It's not that these cameras are hard to use, it's just that I might only use it every once in a while and I need a refresher, so it's nice to watch a "how to video" real quick. Your subscribers are going to explode soon! Just keep on keeping it simple, slow and not fancy! Thanks for all your work!!!

i have a question, i want to record in 360 and upload the full 360 video from my phone. no pc would be used. is it possible with this camera? i heard it split the files, during record, can i join them in the app? i wouldnt reframe or nothing, i just need a 20 minutes 360 video record and upload. is gopro max better for that?
hey man, sorry for the late response, I was away for a few weeks. If you are looking to get the 360 look that we see for example on facebook where you can spin the camera, I don't think that's possible with this or at least I haven't found a way to do so and I was told that this is not the way the insta360 works. let me know if you found something else
@@rogerfonseca3788 actually i got the camera, and it does exactly what i want. things to notice. firstly, yes you can edit the video directly on phone and export and upload from phone to youtube. no computer needed. but, phones only export in 4k, whilst the camera can record in 5k. so its alittle downgrade. and its not the camera fault, all iphones cant edit past 4k video, any video. secondly, if youre recording past 30 minutes, the camera would split the video at 30 minutes each and theres like a 10 second missing gap between each 30 minute clip. doesnt bother me but might bother others. from my analysis of the gopro and the insta360 x2, the gopro you would need to download the files to your phone before editing, but the insta360 you can edit the videos whilst theyre on the camera, so that saves storage of having to download edit and delete. but generally they both work similar if you get the files onto your phone. an issue i had with the insta360 is theres no exposure lock, so therefore if you mount it on a helmet upwards, the down lens would underexpose the video, the top lens would expose normally and there would be a mixmatch of exposure. this is probably very niche to those who mount on helmet. but something to notice. overall. any of these 360 cameras are good, does the same thing.

hello! you are welcome! yes, the original 360 file stays the same. When you export the video it will be a separate file. All edits will remain on the app but you can clear them all

I used a Samsung S20, and many phones are compatible just make sure its not too old

Thank you for your guide I was so confused as one of my first test video was of me travelling home the first day getting the one x2 recently. Now I make my commute videos daily and travel around Singapore
that sounds great! yeah just saw a couple of your videos out there in Singapore, BTW you can remove the logo that says "shot on insta360", it's on the options
