I like that sleeping puppets are back. Also the head light is pretty neat. Don't care about the motorcycle, I only like the Rager (Laika 2nd), I would drive one of those big trucks that you can see in the scrapyard if that could hold 10+ boxes. The stamina use of jump I think is just a matter of getting used to it, the slow running I think is worse than the jump. I really disliked the change to the improvised backpack, that felt personal to me lol "oh, you made a video using that to organize your loot, here now you can't anymore" xD
They nerfed our jump but zombies keep bunnyhoping! I'm tired of shooting an arrow and miss cuz puppets jump last second... They are dead! They should have less stamina then the player! Gotta lower their jump height and make them jump once per minute
Hey ray! Long time no participation for me 😂 life gets in the way. I've been pretty disappointed in scum for a year or so now.. but I came back recently with tons of changes, followed closely on updates in the background, I think things are getting slightly better. I feel after .90 it's a very very slow upwards trend. But it's going. I've been enjoying .96 coming back however I've noticed I am super rusty lmao. I just noticed as well I have or will reach 2 years a member! Never been a member aside you and no matter what I'm glad to support you. Your lookin slim. Lookin like a bad ass! Keep at it my guy! I'll come catch a stream again at some point lol.

Honestly I don't care about the new stuff, just fix the core of the game: puppets spawn. I had a base in C3 lake, just made 2 walls linking the 2 houses north of the lake. Was doing some building, stamina was low, imortal zombie pop up, I died, when I return there's a horde INSIDE my house, with zombies passing through walls.... Why?!?! Also item decay is way too harsh, you can find gear from WW2 but your radiation suit goes down 12% per day!?!? WTF! I fell like pushing a rock up the mountain. Sure you can fix with duct tape but guess what, they also decay over time
I'm really looking forward to scenery updates. SCUM has kind of ruined a lot of games for me. The graphics on this game continue to amaze me and playing other games with less graphics tends to now disappoint.

I really like this update with the running and jumping now reworked it feels more like real life. I'm looking foward to the map rework so you can't run up and down hills, mountains and cliffs.
hi ray-kit. as someone who has played scum for over 800 hours, I have some suggestions for add-ons that can be improved over time. 1) there can be a lamp connected to the generator in the base. 2) in pve servers, there can be a setting to turn the crate carrying sound on and off. 3) leaves and trees can be prevented from entering the base. 4) players can be allowed to communicate via radio frequency. 5) for cars and engines, there can be a construction that can build our own repair shop. 6) a single or double-person motor glider can be built. 7) there should be vehicles such as trucks, minibuses, panel vans.
Cheers Ray, re the stamina nerf, it's brilliant, I'm an old school gamer, I jumped from The Amiga to PC to play Doom 1, over the years I've played most fps games, I started playing multiplayer games with the original Medal of Honour back in '02 then went on to play COD, played them all online until they made the one thing I absolutely hated, a game feature, Bunny Hopping (COD Advanced warfare 2014) never bought another since , for me it's a realism thing, lets see these people bunny hop around a real gunfight while fully kitted carrying weapon, helmet, body armour,ammunition not to mention a feckin Bergan.......you also served, you know what i'm talking about......
I never experienced the crazy in base spawn, though I built out in the wild with the closest structure about 150 meters away. I really like finding the natural spring drinking fountains! I would be super jazzed to see some more similar discoveries between POIs, towns, etc. Perhaps a wandering black market trader that is randomly found x distance from any structures or POIs. He can flag you down if you get close enough if you do not see him. Once your transaction is done he can pack up and move locations so the establishment doesn't catch up to him. He could have a hatchback van that opens up to display random highly sought out items and maybe some clothing if accessories found at his shop. "Thanks for your patronage. Time to pack up and relocate. Stay alive out there!"
The other day I had a Z spawn in my base. Once you lay a flag down they shouldn’t be able to spawn in around your flag area. The jump is far too hefty on stamina. Sometimes you have to jump over rocks/walls/fences but it kills your stamina. I get that it should take some off to stop people jumping around but it’s far too much at present imo
I have the cruiser on the broken wings server and agree with you raykit, its a very gorgeous bike to ride in deed, very manouverable and fast for the type of bike it is, love the concept art of the sidecar, looks very similiar to those that the germans used in WW2!, hope it gets modular upgrades aswell maybe extra storage or mounted Machinegun for defence would be cool!. I'm on a PVE server. I used to run through bushes and jump over rocks to get away from puppets. I was in the town in C3 earlier looking for vehicle parts to get another player a vehicle on the server. I made 1 jump from one roof to another roof and pretty much had to sit down and rest to go any further. If your stamina is down a little one jump is all it takes. I'm at 5.7 5 5 5.
wow, 5 CON and still goes down like that? I'm at 1.8 CON lol, so CON is even more useless now, I thought with max CON you would have a lot more stamina
@@ballisticthreat I thought it would work that way. I can run quite a ways. I pushed a Cruiser all the way from the farm south of the B1 town to the A0 trader. I only stopped a few times to eat once to clear the puppets at the gas station and once when I was replying on discord. I could have pushed it all the way without stopping. Yet if I start running or even walking and jump a couple of times I have to at least squat down and rest.
I have 6.5 5 5 5 and running and endurance advance above the 50% and I can jump and my stamina get down to 50-60 and I keep running and my stamina got back to 70 - 80 depending on the time when I jumped.
@@flash1259 maybe the entire CON stat needs a rework. If jump is based on % then it means your character uses more stamina units than mine, cause we both lose 50% of our stamina in one jump, and that doesn't make any sense, your character should be better than mine in that aspect. Ever since 0.4 when I started playing, CON was always a discarded stat for me, I always create my chars with 3/1/5/3 so I can have adv melee, adv thievery and medium demo from the start, having less stamina units was never a problem, I guess Dark Souls taught me stamina management well xD

The movement rework and armbands/no nameplates is a big hit for me. The dynamic in PvP is amazing now. Quests are a bit underwhelming, but I can see them being a great part of the gameplay loop once they are expanded upon and the factions enter the game. That said, quests are a massive improvement on previous ways of attaining fame. The movement + armbands have me keen to get stuck into the game, think it's possibly in the best state it's ever been. Am looking forward to far more work on player movement - hope they don't keep us waiting as long as they did with these ones.
Awesome that these devs havent given up on the game and still update it so frequently. this game deserved more love for sure. ( also for the stamina stuff, Not a fan. I dont think its needed and its only a hindrance so far )
The Rager definitely is the most useful vehicle in Scum but it's never been my favorite. I might be in the minority here but my favorite currently is still the ATV.
I feel the Stamina system is good. Yes some people don't like it for their own reasons but overall it has balanced the game for everyone. It's not totally useless and it's not totally great. It's a good middle ground. And as you say it could change somewhat but there is no way to keep everyone happy.
Why nobody talks about the rubber banding and desync problems? This has been the biggest problem since launch back in 2018. It did got kind of better but trade killing its still so common nowadays. I would say that fixing rubber banding is more important than the puppets spawn sysyem. Of course if you play in community servers its not as bad but some of us would rather play on official servers
Hey Laro, I appreciate your concern with this issue. This has to do with ping limits. The devs need to keep regions to regions. Not global. in some cases from what I know. I was going to explain the player numbers where servers have over 64 players.. The servers were designed to only hold that amount. This also causes issues.

Well I see what you're saying but you see, I'm from Argentina and I play in US servers mostly, and this wasnt an issue while playing other games, I could play perfectly with a ping of 180. Im talking about games like DayZ, Arma 2 DayZ, Battlefield, and some others. But then there are some other games like PUBG, CSGO or Call of duty which wont be as tolerant regarding your ping, you will feel the lag and it would be unplayable. Also, when I play SCUM (I play mostly on Official US East #1) I play with Americans, and they're playing in a server hosted in their region obviously, so whenever I feel a lag spike/rubber banding, whatever you want to call it, they feel it too, we all lag at the same time, so I'm sure it has to do with something else. Maybe something about server synchronization when rendering loot and building materials

Inviting players to record and submit dodgy puppet spawns using their wording in the blog post is ludicrous - they're saying "AFTER you've had it happen, then record it" - yeah, ok - gimme a time machine first.
stamina and jumping are better. the movement is better in the game. But it can be fixed a little better, and it will in time. As I said, the new movement is being tested, so it will get better during the time it is updated. But as I said, if you have a lot of equipment and carry a lot, you wouldn't be able to jump as high and also run as fast because you carry too much. Because in reality, as always, when you carry a lot, everything gets heavier. So you end up not being able to run as fast or not being able to run at all. So then maybe you just jog. But when you've run fast and start walking or stop. So you should recover just as quickly even if you are walking or standing still. But the weight of all things should be fixed so that when you have a bag in your hand, it becomes so heavy that you can hardly run or jog. So there are things that should be fixed better.
PvP always dictates what happens to PvE, no one can argue that PvP isn't what nerfs everything on PvE, that's why Shotguns aren't fast like in real life. For jumping, you should be able to jump more with less stamina use as you go up in running and endurance, just like real life with people that do hurdle jumping. I like that you can't jump super high anymore, just as long as puppets can't either. Still a really long way to go with many other issues, but no reason to complain needlessly, we all know what they are. I don't like their answer about puppet spawns being "wonky" as they seem to sound like they don't see a problem, because but we'll see how things go!
I mainly play PVE servers, I don't mind the changes to jumping at all. Has not effected my game play. Makes it more realistic than before. Hated watching PVP content of people jumping around like the Master chief in a fire fight
Only reason I don’t play this game is because of the foliage pop in. Bushes and trees just pop in and out 5ft in front of me and it ruins immersion for me. It’s insane that it’s been years and the game still has foliage pop in.
