I love the hallowed ground comment. I feel the same way. Watched it on TV for most of my life and finally at 50 years old, I got to go to the 500 this year. As I walked out to my seat, I literally had goosebumps. Awesome video!
That's badass! I did the ride along as well back in 2003 when the Richard Petty driving experience was at Walt Disney World Speedway. The top speed was around 150 mph. I'm surprised they let you ride in street clothes. When I did it, a driver's suit was mandatory.
The odd thing is that if you are driving the car yourself, you need to wear a fire suit. If you are doing the ride along, you can be in street clothes.

This is definitely on my bucket list. Long time race fan myself. Kyle Petty and the Mello Yello car was my favorite too. I have a lot of Keselowski race used pieces and have Chris Bueschers Coke Zero 400 Daytona Win front end from last year with all of the confetti still on it.
I'm not a Brad fan, but I totally respect his racing. I love that with racing, you can have 10 friends, and all 10 may have different favorite drivers, but everyone can sit and enjoy watching them all race together at the same time. The experience was awesome. I think you'd love it.

I used to watch NASCAR years ago as I grew up near Pocono. My dad was a car dealer and provided the pace cars and a few other vechicles for the track. Because of this, we were the first RV in the infield, and we used to get hot pit passes, so I have watched a pit stop during a race just a few feet in front of me. I also got to ride in a pace car once during the race, but have never been in a NASCAR car. I have only watched one race at Daytona, not nearly as fun from the grandstands. The later yers going to the races, we would arrive at the track on a Thursday, and stay in the infield until Sunday Night. Those multi color seats in the grandstands fool my simple brain every time.
Looked like an awesome experience!! You probably have much more of an appreciation for what the Nascar drivers do in each race. Also could you see why crashes are pretty much inevitable on that track
What a blast! Those banked turns are intense. Fastest I've ever driven in a ground vehicle was about 139 mph in Kuwait on the 5th ring road in a Suburban, Of course I was getting passed :)
I have only been a Nascar fan since 2012. But i am so jealous! To be honest my bucket list includes at least going to ONE race in person. I am a big Martin Truex Jr fan and Denny Hamlin is my second favourite. All i know is the race last night at Richmond had my blood pressure up. lol
Been a huge racing fan all my life. F1 is my favourite series I just love how much speed they carry through the corners. I'm from the UK we met you guys at the extreme show at the hard rock hotel all that time ago haha. Was awesome. Anyway, Kyle you should totally get into sim racing I think you'd love it. Get a cheap set up to start off and just upgrade it as you go. I think you'd really enjoy it. I would love this experience at daytona. Looks awesome!

This was awesome, I’ve wanted to do one of these experiences since i was a kid. When people watch this stuff on tv they dont realize just how close the cars are when they are three and four wide going through the trioval or the turns at over 180 mph. Indianapolis is super narrow too and is like watching cars race at 200 on your local two lane highway. Glad to see you beat JJ though 😅😂
Coming up on the other cars on the track really gives a new appreciation for watching the pros race. The track is much more narrow than it appears while watching on tv.
We was on holiday in Vegas from England at end of February and had all the Nascar teams trucks parked opposite our hotel waiting go up strip under police escort. Managed to get some well cool pics
Oh sweet you got any plans we done the view from the postcard thing at sphere was really cool. Also got to get selfie with Travis Pastrana at Nitrocross which on behind Planet Hollywood that weekend. Was a mad nutty epic time lol

Very cool. I didn’t realize that you used to live up that way. We had a summer house for a while in Moscow, PA, which wasn’t too far from the track.
Still less scary than being on I-95 with my wife driving.
