I still firmly believe that Le Bail was going to let them all live at the end, in celebration of a game well-played... but then, Helene tries to kill Grace after she'd already won. So he decided to smite the sore losers.
@@shesscared It makes the most sense! If they were meant to die immediately upon loss, they would have. But, in my opinion, Le Bail was like "AHAHAHA... well, good game, everyone! Better luck next time! ... Oh, you wanna cheat the winner out of her win? You explode now."
@@shesscaredhow can you say fight scenes are boring have you not seen the john wick movies cuz they have top notch action scenes but if you haven.t watched those movies then please watch them there are 4 movies in totale
This was my introduction to Samara Weaving and she has cemented herself as a scream queen like the range on this woman when it comes to her vocals is crazy. This movie was a great horror comedy and the ending is so satisfying.
I think the movie makes full use of all its resources and that's why it's so good. The location, the bride imagery, the supporting cast who give their characters personality, all the way to the memorable last line...it's like nothing is wasted in this movie.
Ready or Not is honestly one of my favorite thriller movies like idk I'm not fond of thriller or horror genres but this movie snatched my heart (and the only horror movie I can watch without "not looking")
I'm glad you watched this movie! I read a fun fact about the ending. Apparently, they made another version where she didn't survive the sacrifice, and, as you guessed, it'll be a basic ending for a movie (which explains how the current one is better than the alternative one). They decided it wouldn't be the same effect, so they kept the current one, and, to be honest, I'm glad they kept it because the movie looks more interesting! Ready or not, being one of my favorite movies, I loved your reaction, and I'm happy you liked it!
I saw this in a nearly empty theater with one other person apparently also playing hooky in the middle of the week. I hope they weren't there for a serious time because I laughed obnoxiously loud several times throughout the movie. The deaths were so outrageously over the top that I couldn't help myself, and that end scene was perfect. I'm so glad they made the curse real because it really elevated the whole movie for me.
Omg this was my almost exact experience! There were a group of three ppl in the back and me alone in the front. I was laughing hysterically and all of a sudden they burst out laughing too. Scared the crap outta me because I didn’t realize they were there at all! Which made it all the better! We ended up talking to the screen the rest of the movie 😂😂😂
honestly, one of the best Horror Movies i’ve watched would be the Fear Street Trilogy! gruesome but so good. pays homage to lots of classics! truly amazing!
Personally I appreciate you giving your honest opinion in your review. So many reactors feel pressured to love everything, but not everything has to be your cup of tea! Everyone has their own tastes 🖤 I noticed you have The Descent, As Above So Below, and Malignant on your poll in the beginning, and I feel like one of those might be a bit more up your alley! I’m excited to see what you put out next ✌🏼
I saw Happy Death Day on that list and can only recommend it! Especially when you want to recover from some heavier/gory stuff, it's a great horror comedy, with a who-dunnit element to it! :D
I am super late to the party but I love that you watched it. Samara Weaving is really good with horror comedy. What I love most about this movie is Daniel. He became an alcholic because he could not handle that he betrayed his uncle and married a woman who did not love him at all. He did not want Grace to die and he believed that his family deserved their fate. He is such a good character and I prefer him over Alex any day!!
22:31 your reaction at this made me laugh so much. It’s crazy because most people don’t think the curse is real and when it is, they’re too shocked or just like oh my gosh.😂😂😂😂😂😂
That list you put up on the poll for your patrons, great choices. Ill boil it down a little: - Misery (can't believe that has so little votes, i mean that was an excellent movie and a classic!) - As Above so Below (surprisingly good!) - Nope (how does this have so little votes!? such a good movie!) - Okay...Annihilation, wow, one of the best movies on that list...and only 24 votes...who are your patrons? That should be next!! - annnndddd The Descent All winners^ and all horror, no comedy lol, likely the best choices of what you put up. Everything's subjective of course, but those also happen to be the highest rated as well. Hope the next one is one of the above, I ASSURE you, you wont go wrong with any of them.
Samara Weaving is so good! If you want to watch her in more horror, she is in both the babysitter and the babysitter 2, and Jenna Ortega is in the sequel! Both are horror comedies too though but maybe give them a chance!
Watched this movie on a plane years ago, thank you for reminding me of how much i enjoyed it. I am a giant baby and enjoy horror the most in day, well lit spaces 😂
I also used to not really like horror-comedy, but you need to watch BODIES BODIES BODIES. Also, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned "YOU'RE NEXT" cuz that's another badass movie where the lead is a girlboss.
been enjoying your commentary on so many of these movies... I am a horror buff myself and i have a chest full of horror ones you may or may have not seen... so I am just going to share them anyways lol All three VHS films (found footage), Alien abduction, an American haunting, as above as below, dark skies, devil inside, devil, drag me to hell, extraterrestrial, friend request, unfriended, unfriended - dark web, grave encounters 1&2, hereditary, house of 1,000 corpses, house on haunted hill, mama, quite, pandoras, poltergeist series 1-3 + reboot, scary movies to tell in the dark, session 9, slender man, stigmata, the amityville horror (Ryan Reynolds), the apparitions, the cabin in the woods, the curse of llorona, the exorcism of Emily rose, the fourth kind, the gallows, the grudge, the grudge 2020, the last exorcism 1&2, the possession, the possession of Hannah grace, the ring 1&2, the sixth sense, the Vatican tapes, the veil, the witch, thirteen ghosts, white noise
I love horror comedy. Return Of The Living Dead, American Werewolf In London, Gremlins, Shaun Of The Dead, Jennifer's Body, Freaky, Beetlejuice, Evil Dead 2 are my favs.
I'm also not a fan of horror comedy, but this one was so fun to watch, the main girl's acting is amazing. I specially loved how the husband doesn't get a half-assed "redemption". He proposed to her knowing this was a possibility, didn't tell her about it, and just becasue "if I didn't propose, you'd leave me! :(" Also at the end, as soon as he notices she won't be with him after all this, he gives her in, there was no "but he didn't mean it/he regrets it :(" bs, just 100% selfish prick
I'm not big on makeup editing you is just as lovely, certainly more so for those who truly care about you. Never ask people not to mind your natural appearance!
Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is a great horror comedy if you ever want a genuinely funny good time with horror. Highly recommend even if it’s not for a video.

I remember seeing this in the movie theater on my birthday and when I was in the theater the movie was at least 20 minutes to being finished my mom kept texting me saying all if I don’t answer she’s calling me cops kept calling and texting for minutes straight seeing it after I was in the movie theaters on my birthday as well

honestly the babysitter is her best work
You had a really great scene with her in your newest movie Ghostface!!!
Im on the other side of this, her screaming was off putting and forced into a weird vibrato, not liking it

that's why bro exploded. if she stayed married to him i think he would've lived bc he married HER
She divorced him though, so she shouldn't inherit anything. Or do you think the devil made her the new head of the family?

I think Grace makes super smart decisions throughout the movie, other than marrying into that family.
All she wanted was a real family and she didn’t know

Have you seen Satanic Panic? Quite similar like this one, was released around same time as Ready or Not. Fun horror stuff 👍
the girl that did coke and kept shooting everyone was the funniest $hit 🤣
petition for her to start the scream franchise 😩😩
Ik same I’m sure she would absolutely love it after her new journey into horror
YESSS
I don't know, from her tastes, would she even care for that franchise? Cause Scream is like the epitome of the horror/comedy genre 😅
She can’t, in scream 6 she is lady that die in the beginning 😅
