I heard about this channel today on Localish. I found you, subbed then cried. As a single mother with 2 young boys (their father became involved in drugs & we have not seen him in a couple years), I struggle with a lot of household things. I was shocked to see the video on using a cordless drill. I Googled and searched TH-cam for hours on taking out and changing a drillbit (it seemed stuck or I was stupid) but now seeing how the inside opens up to release the bit, I can finally change it out. You would not believe how difficult it is to find the answer online. After trying this the other night for several hours, I had called my mother and had a breakdown. My father died years ago, but he never showed any of us kids how to do anything. I have 2 older brothers, but I made the mistake of calling 1 when I had a flat tire & all he did was scream at me the entire time. I'll never call and ask for anything again. And then I noticed you had a video on using a stud finder & putting up shelves. I couldn't believe my luck. My project right now is taking out existing cabinets and putting up shelves (once I figured out how to work the drill to remove the screws from the existing cabinets). I have learned how to do everything in my home from TH-cam videos. It's amazing how busy your friends are when you need help, so I have learned to rely solely on myself for everything. The next video I will be watching is the one on unclogging your toilet. My toilet won't flush and after filled with water it will eventually go down but it takes a couple of days. The kids bathroom luckily has a working toilet. The fact is I have no idea what I'm doing with most things in my house or my car. And no one to call. I can't afford carpenters or plumbers so when something goes wrong I'm on my own. And life is busy with work & kids. It stinks to come home to undone projects plaguing your home. Googling things is difficult when you don't know what parts are called or how to explain your problem without typing an easy in the search bar. I'm so glad I found this channel. It's so odd that you have so few videos but I pretty much need them all & they are all relevant to my life/home/right now. Could you do one on how to take out and replace carpeting? :) I'm sorry for this long post. And I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about the lack of help or resources I have. I am very blessed to have a home & beautiful children. There is a definite need for this channel. I love that you break things down and don't assume everyone knows the technical terms or even where to begin. I just want to say thank you for this channel. And thank you for creating content that is so necessary. My sons will need the shaving tutorial in about 12 years or so :) So I can appreciate the Dr. Seuss videos for now. Thank you.
