Hard to believe haaland won the golden boot from one game. Really shows how prolific he is
Well its, yeah.
@@thejuiciestofallthehams8130 interesting
Haaland had no mercy that day those Honduran players must have said something about his mother
@@Zaghzackio yh his mother is prop the robot from the terminator 3
Or how poor that team were
9:00 think you cut a line there, it’s clear from context that he had a car crash but it sounds like he signed for a team and immediately lost the use of his legs as a result
What happens in Lisbon stays in Lisbon.
17:02 Dominic Adiyiah, almost become a national and African hero as a whole in 2010 if his header went through the goal at that infamous Ghana vs Uruguay. Unfortunately, Suarez's hand were faster to block the ball 😂
Also the story of how he ended up in AC Milan from Fredrikstad is quite spectacular
Day 3: Best XI made of club captains
Im liking this idea. Its already got me thinking of a team. hope this gets a lot of likes amigo.
I hope he makes this video
Awesome idea!
International captains should be great too
Make a video about the swedish player who was a super talent but got sentenced to 17 years in prison due to gang related crimes Ilija Jurkovic
Day 23: where would a team of Alfie Potts Harmer lookalikes finish in the premier league?
∆^^ what he said!
he already did it in a Q&A
Was Scott Gemmill there?
This was a brilliant tunnel of time for us, who remember some of these folks. Always a top video from Alfie ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
Alfie's a top man
👍
I follow these tournaments religiously! Can you do the same video again for the U17 world cups?
Yes yes
Day 7: worst champions league winners in terms of league finish
Chelsea in 2011-12? They were 7th in Premier League but they won Champions League
@@lonelim9 Bayern Munich finished 10th one season when they won the UCL
Soccer Joeys isn't what we call our youth teams, it's a youth competition held in Canberra and a team
Ahh yes I remember playing in the kanga cup as a youngster
You shoul show picture of Freddy Adu whe when you say say with no further ado
I've heard the argument "But Honduras sucks, no biggie" a lot. Sure, but then Håland shouldn't be the only one who has scored 9 goals vs them, or 8, 7, 6, 5? 3 hat-tricks vs a national team is still insane.
Every teams best ever captain of the premier league era
Arsenal, Tony Adams
Brentford, Pontus Jansson
Brighton, Lewis Dunk
Chelsea, John Terry
Leicester, Wes Morgan
Liverpool, Steven Gerrard
Manchester City, Vincent Kompany
Manchester United, Eric Cantona
@@lonelim9 Eric Cantona over Roy Keane?
@@tommyp.7108 I don't know, maybe Roy Keane is better captain than Eric Cantona in PL Era
The fact that Idiots Football Daily has more subs than Intelligent HITC Sevens shows that the Majority of the football fans population in the world have kids mentality
Something to point out: Ramon Diaz, in River Plate became the most succesful manager on the teams history until he was surpassed by the current manager.
And he is responsible for some really entertaining football and the debut and development of a few important talents: Crespo, Saviola, Aimar, Demichelis, Santiago Solari.
But if youjust check some of the players he had at River you can see how he is a great developer for young talent
He also managed Paraguay to the 2015 Copa América semifinals before getting thrashed 6-1 by Argentina
Did he give his debut to Mascherano as well? Honest question
Technically that was Marcelo Bielsa with the national team, but the River manager who handed him his club debut was in fact Manuel Pellegrini.
@@santiagobauza4257 gracias bro!
Good video as always but is there a bit missing from the Scherbakov section? It jumps from his initial signing for Sporting to the aftermath of his accident.
I’ve just listened about 5 times thinking the exact same thing.
I rewinded it like 3 times trying to figure out what I was missing lol
What happened to Panathinaikos?
Best vice captain XI in the premier league
People don't realise how Complete Aguero was as a striker ..... Rooney , Aguero , Henry , Suarez , El Fenomeno are the most complete strikers for me.
Don't forget Marco Van Basten. His prime was like nothing anyone had ever seen before. Shame his career was disrupted by injuries.
Teemu pukki
@@areebsiddiqui758 Yes
João Vieira Pinto also won the FIFA U-20 World Cup twice (not only Aguero). 1989 and 1991
09:00 assuming you cut out a bit here
He added after that he was in a drunk driving accident without a seatbelt
Haaland is clear of that speed ninja turtle merchant that only scores against bad defenders.
Oh my god why do u have to tear down one person in order to support another grow up jesus christ.they dont even hate each other
Your ball knowledge is horrible 😭😭
7:35 how could he have scored 5 goals for the Soviet Union in 1994?
The Soviet Union hadn't existed for almost 3 years by that point
The Soviet Union lives in our hearts forever
Legitimately just hurt my neck whipping my head around when Pablo Counago showed up, you're right Alfie that IS a blast from the past, Ipswich legend
Leonel Messi PSG sounds so weird
Agreed
I remember randomly watching that Norway-Honduras game and watching Haaland scoring a hat trick of hat tricks, one of the few times in football I couldn't believe what I was seeing...
Day 2:
You should do an XI of players who could represent strange nations you wouldn't expect. Alexander Isak and Eritrea for example
When is a nation "strange" exactly? If you mean a nation that is of lesser quality than the nation they now represent, you could fill an entire squad with those people. Mainly players with migrant parents, that's a lot
Ramon Diaz was a showman while managing, really entertaining for fans both from his team and rivals alike
For example, when River Plate (his favourite club ever and the one he was most successful in) was relegated he was managing another club. To mock the club rival fans always mentioned River´s relegation as an insult. Ramon Diaz would sometimes turn to face the fans chanting and gesture with his finger a "NO" and then pointing at himself, implying he was not at River at the time of relegation and therefore his hands were clean (and he was not a looser).
Why he felt necessary to do this was beyond anyone´s guess, but I saw him do this two times and once he was not even managing River (but Independiente, the club where Sergio Aguero comes from), people would just chant at him about relegation and he would get mad. It was hilarious.
I have found it funny that after making a video about the number of Black players in Argentina ( th-cam.com/video/-A1F6l0xpF0/w-d-xo.html ), at 2:44 anyone can see that the Argentine goalkeeper is actually... Black! then yes Black people, though not very visible in this part of South America, exist.
Now I’ve seen everything, my city, Vitória - ES, appearing at the best yt channel ever because in a futball related video
Ignore that because lol
Day 104: Indonesia XI If All Eligible Players Had Declared For Them
Best XI Brazilians ever to play for Shakhtar Donetsk
See Alfie, even the good lord believes this would be a great vid
Day 26 of asking : ranking the managerial careers of Alex Ferguson's ex players (alt titles - 7 best/7 worst)
They had already been named as Russian Federation when Salenko scored 5 against Cameroon in 1994.
Day 5, 7 Best hattricks of all time (based on both quality and occasion).
Hurst, Cristiano, Messi, Rivaldo, Zlatan come to mind immediately. Hurst and Rivaldo are obvious.
Cristiano against Atletico/Bayern/Spain/Wolfsburg.
Messi against Arsenal/Real Madrid/Leverkusen/Ecuador.
Zlatan against England.
Solenko.... Soviet union...1994 WC?
In the very next entry he even says that the 1991 edition was the last FIFA event attended by the Soviet Union :)
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 181)
I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
Olyroos is the offical name for the Australian national youth-team.
João Vieira Pinto (Portugal) also won the tournament twice (1989 and 1991)
you should make a video talking about the logos of every world cup, possibly ranking them in your favourites and maybe talking about the design that went into them etc. this video did a similar thing with olympic games logos (th-cam.com/video/ZgqyYZXwTxg/w-d-xo.html) and I think this would be interesting for you to talk about
Mate, Nuno Brassard and João Vieira Pinto won 89 & 91.
Portugal were back to back U 20 champions in 89 & 91! Technically both Brassard and João Pinto were 2x champions, although Brassard was the 2nd choice goalkeeper in 89 (so he didn't play any mins then) and 1st choice goalkeeper in 91. João Pinto was definitely 2x world U 20 champ
@@jmrgomes but when you watch the video you'll hear something else

Day 192: Ways to fix VAR with your suggestions
Dang you aren't giving up but i think this video should've been made when you started the suggestion since Var is alr now and less people seem to hate it now.
That said you're at day 192 so don't you dare give up now
I remember being a teenager and singing counago's name at portman road lol
Day 165:Vietnam Xi if eligible players declared for them:Filip Nguyễn,Emil and Patrik Lê Giang,Alexander Đặng,Yohan Cabaye,Lee Nguyễn,Jason Pendant
Australian Youth teams are called the “young Socceroos “
Not “soccer joeys”.
Love the videos Alfie
haha I remember when I checked forza (a football app). I saw the Norway match there and checked who had scored in the game, haaland was there with 9 goals my first thought was just what the F 😂
Well, if Football Manager is any indication, Haaland is off to PSG. Or Manchester City. Then again, I had saves that had Messi retiring at Barca and Aguero going back to Argentina, and Neymar going back to Brazil, so what does that game know?
That's incredible that he scored five goals for the Soviet Union in 1995.
João Vieira Pinto from Portugal won it twice also. 1989 and 1991.
U23 premier league poty/top goal scorers where are they now?
Documentary on chievo veronas death
I dont know,Alfie is a genius youtube channel because he made a lot of interesting historical football videos also he's a great grandson of Neil Franklin-One of the best defender in history of England football
Where did he say that about his granddad
Shame when you mentioned both Bruma and Jesé in the same sentence you failed to mention they both played for Sporting Clube de Portugal
The Beatles reference at 8:20 was quite the classy touch
Request: Was the 1954 world cup final fixed?
make the same with top goalscorers at the u21 euros
Say please
Ooof, that monkey paw curled up when Aguero said he wanted to leave Barcelona
Just thought I'd check when the next tournament is... it's ongoing, the semis are tomorrow. I had heard nothing about it
One club football players and goals/games they got and the same in the playing for their country please
Video title "where are they now" is false. You didn't even tell ejat rhe first one does today... Retired doesn't tell anything
could you do a video about players who won the youth or under 20 world cup and the main world cup.
i have already 4 names
I love the videos, but it is called MLS, not THE MLS.
Can you do the u-17's next. I'm sure there's lots of Nigerians on the list
bit of an editing slip up at 8:55 i think. maybe there is a sentence or 2 missing.
Salenko won the golden boot in 1994 for Russia not the USSR
Unfortunately a few mistakes in this vid , seems to be fact checking Australia did not host in 91
@@brayden7677 great video...but mistakes happen...

@@HITCSevens oh cool! I'll check it out
Hahaha! I actually saw England won the U20 World Cup in South Korea. They had a really good team for that tournament and I stood up and watched them lift the trophy knowing that I was in a minority of people to see England win any kind of football world cup. My wife was amazed that I didn't know the words to the English national anthem at all, but I felt pride as the players were excellent. They also played the 3/4 place play-off before the final, so I'm sure I got to see Orsolini play too. Good memories.
Day 2: XI of players who came from PSG’s academy and left for
Goddamn Alfie stop butchering names ffs
No
Do one for u17s please
Counago brought back some memories from 20 year old football manager saves.
João Pinto also won the tournement twice. 1989 and 91
Great shout, David, quite right.
And Alfie, since I know you like these small curiosities in football history, I will add that besides João Pinto and Kun Aguero, there´s another player that has 2 U-20 WC champions medals in his trophy cabinet, and that's Portugal's GK Fernando Brassard. He also won the tournament twice alongside João Pinto, although in 1989 he didn't actually play a single minute, earning his medal by warming the bench the whole tournament and then being the 1st GK in 1991and playing all matches..
Lionel Messi.. PSG will never sound right
Australia did not host the 91 youth World Cup
Bruma plays for olympicakos now not psv 😁
7 best player who never won the league titles
7 female versions of Alfie
So now do the same with Golden Ball winners
