    Justin and the living breathing tank encyclopedia that is John take a look at the 1/72nd scale British Churchill Tank from The Plastic Solider Company.
    The Churchill MkIII is famous for getting the better of a German Tiger 1 during the preliminary phases of the Battle of Longstop Hill as part of A Squadron, 4 Troop of the 48th Royal Tank Regiment.
    Tiger 131 was the first Tiger Tank captured by British/American forces and has recently used in film Fury.
    John thinks the Churchill looks like the Thundercat's Lair, do you?

    The fuel trailer on a Churchill Crocodile was armoured. It was also separated from the tank by an armoured coupling, and could be jettisoned if necessary. It meant that the crew were protected from the danger of burning flamethrower fuel cooking them in their own tank. The Germans were so terrified of the Crocodiles, that they would execute crew members if captured.

    20mm (1/72) offers a huge range of vehicles, artillery, and infantry - it has 40+ years of modeling kits behind it. It also has a great ground scale, with enough room on a 4'x6' to field a company of infantry and a handful of tanks a side. Plastic Soldier Company has put out some excellent 20mm kit in the last few years. I'd recommend you guys take a look at their 20mm Panzer III J/L/M/N and the Panther Ausf A kits. They also have a big range of Shermans as well.

    That WWII rule set you can't remember the name of is 'Battlegroup', written by Warwick Kinrade and published by Iron Fist Publishing in partnership with Plastic Soldier Company.
    Warwick goes way back as an author of wargames and his Battlegroup family (Kursk, Overlord, Fall of the Reich, Barbarossa and soon 'Blitzkrieg') offers a fun game with a focus on history as well as on building and painting an interesting collection of toys.
    Taking advantage of the wealth of cool subjects available in the broad church that is 20mm gaming (1/72 & 1/76 scale) this well designed game provides ample opportunity of to explore history, focusing on key theatres of WWII.
    Well worth checking out.

    I don't use the PSC game rules, but like quite a few people use PSC '1/72' stuff for playing BOLT ACTION instead of using 28mm. It's cheaper to assemble armies and there is more variety of units, equipment and accessories in 1/72.

    I wish I did 20mm, purely because there are AB Miniatures surely the best figures ever designed.

    Can’t imagine a revolver would make a hole even in the bottom of this tank.
    Unless it’s made of plastic. Interesting intro and food review.

    Sorry but I have to correct you here, AVRE stands for Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers, not Assault. The projectile was also about 18 kg

      +the dutch mocmaker ik ben ook nederlands, kan ik mijn 1:35 panther tank gebruiken voor deze wargame? of zijn die te groot. welke schaal is hier perfect voor?

    • @laps_san8505
      @laps_san8505 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      het is 15mm schaal dus ik zou zeggen 1/72.

    • @TheLordhorationelson
      @TheLordhorationelson 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      zijn er denkt u ook nog wargames met de 1:35 schaal? 1;72 is wel erg klein naar mijn meining.

    hey guys I'm thinking of getting a resin Willy's Jeep it will be my first resin model and I'm not sure how it's going to go
    I've heard it has materials on it that can be toxic if breathed in also I've seen a lot of videos of bad molds where the model is deformed is there any way I can avoid tht or any way to fix tht
    so what do I do for the toxic materials do I soak It in water or something
    and is there anything else I should know

      TH-cam Hero scttrprprd I wouldn't worry too much. Being as you asked this question two yrs ago, you either made it or didn't. However as to resin being poisonous, well yes it is, but the amounts you are working with and bearing in mind you're most likely not melting it and breathing it all in then you're good to go. I'm on my xxxth resin model and it's never even occurred to me to be concerned.
