I haven't seen training tubes like that. Do you know how they were made? I like that the reward is placed inside the tube just like it would be tossed in the box for nose works.
The treats are any high value treats your dog likes (our trainer actually uses a tug for her one border collie) and the scent is the scent of the rat in the tube for barn hunt (but for general scent work it can be literally anything). You only reward when they signal finding a rat and they learn to look for the rat and not the tube!
Thanks! Most clear video I’ve seen!
We have done two other videos that center more on how to get started and how to make your own regulation barn hunt tubes too ;)

This is how they are made: th-cam.com/video/Xjke2kZhBw0/w-d-xo.html
The official tubes have a different end, but we made ones with two screw caps.
There are more resources in the video description. We can also make one if you reach out on facebook or instagram.
Thank you! I bought what I need to make the competition type. But I love your training ones.
I have a min pin that I think would love this! Any thoughts? Thanks 🙏
Yeah go for it!!
what is the treat that is in the tube and what is the scent they are looking for?
