The big difference is in America, people think life is good if you're able to make enough money to live a comfortable life and afford everything you want. In the Philippines, life is good when you have family and friends by your side to laugh with, cry with and to be inspired by them with or without money to spend.
Couldn’t agree more 👍
Yes we have this support system within our family.. money won’t give you the love and support you will need when you’re down and get depressed when you get older.❤
life is good if there is food on the plate
We dont complain too much we are Happy what we have Thanks God for his Blessings 🙏🙏
So true, that's why we have poor infrastructure, no clean water, horrible traffic, brown outs, disgusting streets, homeless children, and people still living in shakes that are ready to crumble when we get our next good earthquake.
Been to other Asian countries & I still don't understand that happiness is not all about richness or status quo, it is the ability to turn the worst times into a normal day at least, what about a normal day? It can be the best day in a snap...a Filipino can start the fire anytime, anywhere.
Welcome to the best chill country & the happiest people on earth.
We may not be a perfect COUNTRY but we always enjoy the fullness of what GOD has given us everyday that makes as HAPPY.❤❤❤
Most Pilipinos are contented to what we have...aside of having strong faith in God.🙏🙏🙏
The reason why the Philippines has no chaotic minds unlike the west is because of our laidback cultures: 1. Ambitious but not so greedy because of the tribal and family oriented cultures. 2. Filipinos being so resilient had been in hardships since the time of their grandparents the reason that any small victory or achievements in life is being appreciated.
3. Filipinos are brave people but practice and subdue its tempers by mostly just walking from troubles. We have minimal cases of roadrage only happens sometimes in the big cities. 4. We have very rare case of mass shootings killing many people 10 and up casualties in 1 ocassion but take note we do also have cases of mental illness but Unlike in the west where it becomes normal. When calamities besiege places even in its most destructive manner, filipinos still have that tendency to get relax ,smiles and laugh. It never happens in many many country. In the US when hurricane Katrina ravage many states people are hysterical and so angry you can hardly talked to them blaming someone especially the government for all their musfortunes.
Except you forget America attacked you 126 years ago killing 10s of thousands.
After giving you your independence they made sure to install a corrupt regime to kowtow to America's wishes.
Now you are just subservient
to their wealth and sex pars.
Howdy Brian appreciate for all those nice words you pronounce towards the former US colony Philippines 🇵🇭 God bless Philippines & USA 🇺🇸 Filipino American from Texas USA 🇺🇸
We are Blessed with All positive vibes, very kind, with manners respect and very Humble heart! Now 🇵🇭a paradise place… Of all foreigners… everyone is welcome!
Well written. I do hope you experience the Philippines to the fullest. I am currently living in Australia, people would ask me - what's your long-term goal? To which I say, I'd come back home. They would give me this look and say why would you trade the Aussie life to the Philippines? To which we say, it's different back home - your neighbour is family, be part of the community and you will never feel alone - the marites will always mind your business haha. It's very hard to explain but its just happy there - regardless of the bad traffic.
I’m a Filipino New Yorker and we’re always late lol
You sound very sincere and appreciative of the Filipino culture. Thank you for seeing my country in a good light❤
Hey Brian, your description of living in the Philippines is spot-on! You're very perceptive about the differences between Filipino and US social culture although their histories are intertwined. You've learned a lot since you first landed in the islands - it will be interesting to see how you progress if you stay longer.
You are a literary expert... well said of life assessment about the Philippines, and tge people.
God bless!
Hey Brian! The way you narrated your life in the Philippines is like a poem! So beautiful to listen. Thank you for your appreciation about the culture, food and most especially the people. Enjoy you stay in the Philippines! Mabuhay ka! I am a Filipino lives in Cleveland Ohio..
Brian, I second rhat. Your narration was one of the purest I have ever heard! A mix of witty irresistible jokes, a deep cultural dive and a very stirring moving and emotional summary of the Philippines, its kind welcoming and resilient people and scenic natural beauty. Should anyone out there hearing your narration not be moved by it, they can surely be officially declared as missing their hearts. God bless you Brian, soon the Philippines Tourist Bureau will call on you for their next Visit Philippines campaign video, featuring the roaring lion from Portland, OR!
I totally agree!
You have a knack in telling stories
I love how you present this video poetically. Awesome!

I am outside the Philippines right now, and you make me miss home sooo much. Filipinos don’t know how good we have it back home in terms of community and culture, aside from amazing nature!
Next is Rockwell Makati !
Wow! Tsismosa, Marites.local lingo!! Love it hehehe.
Thank you for choosing Philippines😊
Cringe. Stop thanking foreigners for "loving our country", we don't owe them anything!
@@Yjn75 but why? Ng dahil sa mga foreigners madami Ang natutulongan na mga kababayan natin especially in province🙄 not just because we thank to them we owe them? No, it's just an appreciation🤣✌️ stop also crab mentality dude✌️
The writing is gorgeous---- too smart, too real. ❤❤❤
Spot on! Thanks for appreciating our culture!❤❤❤
I love the literature and the narration❤
What a beautfiul oral narrative. One of the beautiful.contents i watch as a siletn senior citizen..so precise amd clear voice over.Good job.

I love this video and the commentary! Made me teary-eyed. What you said is true about Filipinos - they live in the moment and not for a future dream.
Thanks for sharing your views!

G'Day from Oz, I have never wanted to visit but with your cool happy description ,Ill be there by Christmas.
nakakatuwa naman the way you described your experiences here. Mabuhay!😊
Hay naku every country has a problem look at italy now they dont like tourist they would limit now
You mention baseball. One of the nice advantages to living overseas is you can subscribe to MLB TV and see all the games without blackouts. In the PI I used to eat breakfast by the pool and stream MLB TV on my phone. Subscribing after the season starts is a pretty good (discounted) price.
FYI - I think the word "lechon" has the emphasis on the first syllable.
Keep up the good work!!
LIKE YOUR VOICE AND HOW YOU CONVERSE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
In the Philippines everyone is Welcome 😊😅😂
😅😅😅😅😅beautiful ode, Brian but hilarious
Ya I can tell your way of narrating is so excellently well crafted. It is verbose weave into strings of colorful words. It is like a cake with with rich trapping that is pleasant to hear. Go for it. Wrrie a book
Nice video and nice realistic positive words👍
Nice to see you roaming around Metro. Manila Philippines.
❤❤❤ 😊
I like the delivery, very poetic. I'm glad you are having a great time here, surely a place you can also call home. :)
I love this vlog.
Nice presentation
An intelligent, poetic & witty narrative 💯👍
Brian is now the new Chairman of BGC, Mergim already signed Off. I laughed out loud with your definition of the "Maritess" -They know your business better then yours hahahhahha... you hit the nail on the head.
Good to see you fixed how you show the Philippine flag.
Mabuhay❤
Great video ❤ good morning
"you say 7pm they hear 9" i'm dead. 😂
Touching commentary. New sub here!
This is great man, but as a Filipino citizen, there are some of us that want to improve things. Yes, we got family and kindness, but we also have a mass amount of homeless children, we can't drink water from our taps, our electricity goes out often, and our traffic pollution is next level awful. So yea, thanks for noticing the good stuff, but I ask foreigners to not sweep under the rug our problems but instead help us push for improvements.
You’re a pleasure to watch and listen to😍
What camera you using, very high definition crystal clear video.
New subscriber here, i enjoy watching your vlog.
1. Limited if any public trahs cans.
2. No toilet paper at public toilets in malls.
3. Hot and in rainy season the humidity will drown you.
4. American food at restaurants is not up to standards you are used to. Pizza is poor at best and hot dogs are terrible.
5. Filipino time.
6. Traffic during rush hour is a nightmare.
7. Sarcasm and figures of speech will go over most peoples heads. So you risk offending people by accident.
On the good side……
8. The people are generally super super friendly and nice.
9. Food is very affordable mostly.
10. Beaches everywhere so dont waste your time and money on the tourist spots. Just go to local beaches.
11. Basically everyone speaks English.
12. Exchange rate is super helpful.
13. Mecial care is generally very affordable but make sure you have insurance for major events.
♥️♥️♥️
ugh! i might come late but not 1 to 2 hours.
❤❤❤
A vlogger is someone who shows you their experience of a place. Tang'na . . . hindi ka vlogger, You are a fuckn POET ! Enjoy the PH my KABABAYAN in spirit .
Thank you dear
Wonderful... another ode to Filipinos...❤❤❤😊
Welcome to the Maharlika family
Were you a writer (or still are)? The script was very well written. 👍🏽 👍🏽 👍🏽
Laughing at you Brian you are already a filipino you know Tsismosa and MARITES 😅😅😅not me😂
Hi Brian, I wish you were a neighbor next to my apartment, you are a genre of a smart and very observant person who is nice to converse with! Watching from Nevada USA🇺🇸🇸🇪🇵🇭
I will eat Balut anytime if I’m in Manila balut her in America is not good as the balut we eat at midnight while we are setting in our doorstep hanging with friends Friday night and weekend and on spot jamming when friends have guitar on hands .
Hope u can meet a Filipina that u can really cherish, Filipina's does not account u for how much money u make, so flexing is not that big of a deal, they prefer more romantic and traditional approach. Flowers and chocolates, ezpeazy.. Then invest in a condo and make it like airbnb, go down south in Batangas, lookup Pico de loro or Punta Fuego
Very few Karens here in PH vs. USA.
Happiness is about having quality relationships. Something the West does not have.
America is better because there is more opportunity, and there is no Filipino who would turn down any chance to work or live in America!
So balut is your new pre-workout secret? 😄
You forgot the part where you paid for the family party.
PH is paradise on earth for rich Filipinos only & not the ideal country for foreigners to settle foreigners in PH can't own properties & can only own 40% of any PH business if the main Fil. owner allows it foreigners obtain PH citizenship if born & raised in PH which is not your case Brian South American countries don't have such restriction & are also cheap South Americans are also friendly service oriented & accomodating people just like Filipinos
no divorce here
You get your filipino citizenship
The philippines is everything the describe! Just don't lift those beautiful stones! Underneath them, you'll find the rather unpleasant truth.
Wow 🤯 🤩 the Philippines is lucky to have you sing praises about it. 👏 👏 👏. Mabuhay!
😂 pobalcion makati = if vegas strip had a baby with a night market hahahaha
Bruh the sun as warm as a SAN MIG 😂😂😂
"MARITES = KAREN" 😂😂😂
Foreigners visiting Philippines stop comparing Philippine to your country it’s not the same so stop freakin complaining
😂😂😂😂😂😂 LOL. MARITES. THATS LIFE FULL OF STORY LIKE A FAIRY TAILS
Women there are far more fit
Yaaaaawn nothing new here, just another video from a newbie to PI who thinks their video is the first or the best .......lol
More Pinoy click baiting!
Filipino culture is a communal society. We have to unite to be strong. Here in the USA it is rugged individualism. Man , your videos make me want to go home. Soon! Sooner!😂
My only real serious complain is the "skin tax". Even being with a Filipina is try to buy a car, rent or buy a house if they see an American guy first they will try to jack up the price. So whenever possible I let her do all the talking so we don't pay the skin tax.
Very true.
I don't really mind it at the street markets where I get told the RayBan sunglasses I want are $3.00 (Peso equivalent), but my Filipina wife returns and the cost for her is only $1.50. I understand a street market bump in pricing.
But, I have found the same thing happens in professional offices as well, as with my dentist, my dermatologist, my travel agent, and others where the difference in price that I get quoted is HUNDREDS of dollars more than the Filipinos are assessed.
Thanks, Brian! I just subscribed.
❤❤❤
