- This is a modpack "Ultra Zone Winter" for Stalker Anomaly.
Still in work, it will feature many of my favorite mods, snow textures, new weather tweaks, new weapon sounds, new visuals with Agressor Reshade, 2D shader scopes, realistic water, water puddles on ground during sunny weather to make it look like the snow is melting ect.
Custom weather, lighting, weapon reposition and alternate aim.

I'm a fan of Stalker franchise since the first day it was released in 2007.
Game had a unique atmosphere and intriguing story, excellent combat, monsters, and above all the best AI thanks to the Alife system that the game uses.
Sometimes i have a feeling i am fighting real players and not some dumb Ai like in most shooter games.
The AI can flank, flee, call for help, run for cover, get scared and flee when they have to reload their weapon.
The can get injured and lay on the ground and seek help from friendly nearby stalkers.
Or even commit suicide when injured on the ground by pulling a grenade pin to kill you when you try to loot their stuff.

I think snow really fits Stalker so well! I think it has to do with how the game already makes you generally feel uncomfortable in the open, to appreciate every cozy campfire you find... The snow really supports that further.

It's amazing, how mods can take the look and the gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R games into next level, leaving all the essence that those games have. This gameplay looks phenomenal and gave me goosebumps.

@@tanelviil9149 you need to play it to understand, this was edited to show action and combat.
There is lots of exploring, looting, doing quests and trading.
To a player doing those things can be fun, you need to loot for stuff so you dont have to buy it as it can be expensive, you need to maintain the weapons so they don't brake down and start jamming in a firefight.
A long video where i loot and manage inventory can be a boring to watch so i edit a video to be shorter, playing is different, you are always on the edge and have to be on alert because Stalker world is never safe, things can go crazy in a split second

Stalker SoC is one of the best FPS games story and atmosphere wise even the vanilla version and with a few mods it doesn't even need to hide from the latest titles.
vanilla SoC takes a giant shit on the last 10 CoD games consecutively. The latest titles should all hide from STALKER.

@@supriyodas2218 the game is hard at the start because there is no in-game tutorial for such a complex game. However, there are many lengthy tutorials to gameplay and modding on youtube which should be relatively easy to follow.

@@supriyodas2218 yes, people com into the zone to seek fortune, they are called Stalker.
You explore the Zone, look for loot, artifacts that you can seel for money.
Every stalker wants to get to the center of the Zone and find the Wish Granter, rumors are the wish Granter can fulfil all your wishes.
There are many different clans in the Zone, some are friendly some are hostile.
The more you go north more dangerous it will be, more enemy's, monsters, mutants.
There are underground labs you need to go to do quests and find documents, it's horror down there haha.
Game has atmosphere, unique moments, great combat, ect

Stalker SoC for me is the top open world game of all times. I have finished it multiple times and every next one is something new again. The atmosphere, the storyline variety and enemy AI makes it top level game
Enemy AI is the best I've seen. There's only 1 game with such a good AI (far cry 1).

You know, I've been playing the stalker games and the mods since the first game, never have I tried one of these winter mods. I should have checked it out a long time ago, the snow covered zone is beautiful.
There is a good one called Graupel. Which ever one you choose. Winter is definitely a good way to go! Plus a good cold management mod as Well!

Man will the new one ever be able to live up to this game, I remember playing this as a kid and feeling like the NPCs were actual people given how the AI actually made the game a challenge, and would always out flank you.
I knew this was feeling like the mission Contingency from the OG Modern Warfare 2 for a reason: you used a MW2 track.

STALKER is still, to this day my favorite FPS game and I love Anomaly. I gotta get that weather mod cause I love seeing the snow. I wish there was a mod to make for more "stuff" in the world to find and more bad guys to encounter/more missions using the various labs/bases etc. I cannot WAIT for Stalker 2 to come out next year.

I was hopping to be finished by now but i realise that there are just to many weapons and scopes so weapon reposition is going slower than i thought.
Now it all depends on how much free time i have to work on it, so it can take a month or two to finish it.

I like stalker with or without mods, thats why i played all stalker games from 2007, but if i can have better graphics, animations, sounds, textures with mods than why not use them.
People made those mods with passion because they loved the game in the first place
Damn this game looks super clean and to mention those sound effects. Best FPS in years for sure! IT HAS ATMOSPHERE! Sadly very low % of games has it. Just amazing.
The sounds of Weapon and Surround Ambiance and open inventory....the modders just make the game all the better. I hope stalker 2 will be the same I don't think it will be that good but I hope so!

Thank you for this mod list. I just discovered the stalker series even though its been waiting for me to play it in my steam list for years. Beat the original and now im playing through gamma.
Gamma is a bit of a learning curve and a lot of it was hard to figure out at first. I think aome of it could be balanced better, like being able to sell artifacts more easily, and maybe make traders buy guns but not sell them (maybe as a nato incentive to control guns in the zone).
Very interested to see what awaits in the late game in gamma.

Fantastic looking and great combination of mods. I have been saying this for long since Anomaly came to the surface, sometimes when adding mods, the less is the better approach, and always keeping in mind that this is Stalker, keep the Stalker-ish soul, you achieved that good job. I tried GAMMA and EFP. Both dissapointed, both have and run around 350+ mods, many of these mods are pointless, worthless, questionable terrible changes, terrible 3d models, oversaturated textures, awful bad looking interface, and the list just goes and goes... these 2 modpacks, GAMMA and EFP changes the game so much that is no longer stalker. I just resigned myself and did exactly your approach, Started to build my own custom modlist, best thing I did and I encourage everyone out there which consider themselves a fan of the stalker series to make their own modpack as well.

The modders took a great immersive sim, and made it more. Such a great game and community, I’ll still replay call of Pripyat and SoC to this day. I tried to be clear sky but the end sequence of chasing strelok isn’t fun
Someone mod this brilliant title to PCVR... "Into the Radius" is as close as it can get at the momoent
Once this modpack is released I will definitely be downloading it. Till then, keep the Zone safe brother, you are doing good work

Stalker is a singleplayer game, no coop or online
to each their own taste but the second scope unlike the first should go inside the right eye must make the whole screen black to be immersive (as you close your left eye) and the reshade (?) screen space reflection is over the top, unimmersiven unrealistic and distracting, other than that good video sir !

also: is it just me that takes this thing as kind of like Warzone minus the campers. Go all tactics and survival wo geting beamed from across the map. XD 11 out of 10

this one with stalker is a true rabbit hole for me and ive been thru some crazy mod list on other games.. like mechwarior, asseto corsa, but this is different teritory.
in vanila i mostly miss the high res textures and some models. guns look okay.ish but the npcs.. those need some mods. Also some visual addons like more up to date lighting - tried ading those but im probably missing something. Need to go thru the faq again, but for the price and whats technicaly a 20 year old game - i have 0 complaints.

would be nice if nightvision stay only inside scopes instead of of whole screen
There is a mod that does change usual nightvision. Beef's NVG. This mod makes NVG shader based, they render only within the NVG overlay and surrounding is not any brighter, or even blurred (depending on settings). In scopes it doesn't change, however - if your top tier NVG is taking most of the screen, it doesn't adjust to scope. I didn't try using special nightvision scopes, however, maybe that would work as it should. Oh, and that mod works only in DX11 and maybe DX10.

ps: I really would appreciate if the battle music only starts when encountering a group of higher ranking, human enemies like Monolith where the battle takes some time and is tactical. This really gives a welcomed badd-ass-touch to those fire fights.
